Eriksson has turned to Jerome after missing out on Bristol City forward Nicky Maynard - and he hopes the financial power of the Foxes will persuade hard-up Blues to sell. Jerome can leave Birmingham following their relegation from the Premier League and is hoping for a return to top-flight football, with Stoke, Fulham and Bolton interested in him. However, ambitious Leicester are offering top contracts to players - as well as huge fees - and want to try to talk Jerome into joining their push for promotion back to the Premier League. Eriksson has already beaten off top-flight clubs to sign Reading centre-half Matt Mills this summer and is confident he can land Jerome, too.

Would do a good job if he could stay injury free for the season.
psychonaut Posted 29 July 2011 Posted 29 July 2011 Not heard much about him... is he decent? Like yakubu maynard decent?
RizLCFC Posted 29 July 2011 Posted 29 July 2011 Doesn't score many, would rather have Maynard, Yakubu or Long.
Scoobyrob Posted 29 July 2011 Posted 29 July 2011 No thanks. He couldn't hit a barn door, a big barn door. Scored a couple of goals against Liverpool many moons ago but not the best. The brum fans I know will be keeping their fingers crossed we sign him. We need goal scorers. Would rather pay top money for Maynard or Long.
m00nie Posted 29 July 2011 Posted 29 July 2011 we need a striker so if they link us with loads, one of the stories should end up right... its like a broken watch, even that can be right twice a day..
sdb Posted 29 July 2011 Posted 29 July 2011 Good at this level but we'd have to pay extra to fend off other clubs. Considering he's overvalued anyway, that wouldn't be good. Still i'd prefer Jerome for $4mill than Long for £8mill. Although i'd prefer neither of those happen tbh.
cc_star Posted 29 July 2011 Posted 29 July 2011 We have far better on the books, would sooner go without. Smacks of desperation after putting all our eggs in the Maynard basket & not taking CMS seriously or not wanting to break wage structure for Yakubu
LCFCmatt Posted 29 July 2011 Posted 29 July 2011 Someone post the video of his goal against Liverpool
Guest ttfn Posted 29 July 2011 Posted 29 July 2011 i'd rather have Vassell up front. Why spend money unless it's going to improve the squad?
Scoobyrob Posted 30 July 2011 Posted 30 July 2011 Someone post the video of his goal against Liverpool He scored one of the goal of the season contenders against Liverpool in 09. It's on you tube. I'd post it but don't know how to on iPhone Don't get excited though it's about all he's ever done!
foxoffderby Posted 30 July 2011 Posted 30 July 2011 No thanks should of bought CMS when they had the chance
Nick Posted 30 July 2011 Posted 30 July 2011 Does this help at all? http://www.youtube.c...h?v=Ql0cmLrKusg Jerome vs Liverpool goal at 1min 30 sec: http://www.youtube.c...h?v=Iy5ZWTkxDDI Really poor goal to game ratio - even in the championship.

Somebody explain it to me - is his assists rate off the chart or something because his goal scoring isn't................ why would Stoke, Fulham and Bolton be interested - I know he's only mid 20's but he's not set anything alight (to my knowledge he's not an arsonist in any capacity)
phillthefox Posted 30 July 2011 Posted 30 July 2011 SSN has just reported this on transfer talk, reported 4 mill bid for him, WTF !!!!!! this guy is pants, rather have billy sharpe fron donny
