Babylon Posted 30 July 2011 Posted 30 July 2011 You know we have delusions of grandur when people turn their noses up at him.
roblcfc84 Posted 30 July 2011 Posted 30 July 2011 You know we have delusions of grandur when people turn their noses up at him. Couldnt agree more. Just said the same in the Fernandes thread.
escos Posted 30 July 2011 Posted 30 July 2011 Once again I seem to be going against the grain. (not doing it on purpose, honest) but in the right team playing the right system he could be a very good buy indeed. Especially in the championship, which in case a lot of you have forgotton is where we are.
Rocky Dennis Posted 30 July 2011 Posted 30 July 2011 Hopefully not true! He is not what we need (a goalscorer) Should just pay the yak what he wants, guaranteed 20 goals means promotion!
Happy Fox Posted 30 July 2011 Author Posted 30 July 2011 Hopefully not true! He is not what we need (a goalscorer) Should just pay the yak what he wants, guaranteed 20 goals means promotion! The Yak is going to West Ham
dannythefox Posted 30 July 2011 Posted 30 July 2011 Hopefully not true! He is not what we need (a goalscorer) Should just pay the yak what he wants, guaranteed 20 goals means promotion! This is very true! And he will score 20goals he's proven just pay the wages Sven!

Nick Posted 30 July 2011 Posted 30 July 2011 Somebody tell me why he'd be good for us please? Does he hold up the ball and provide assists? He doesn't score that many - even in the Championship wasn't his best 10 in 45? If somebody can put together a rational argument as to why people should be supporting the purchase of CJ, I'll try and get on board........... Tell me his positives..... Genuine question......

I doubt we are interested in CJ, just agent talk, we are interested in Shane Long and John Carew
Nick Posted 30 July 2011 Posted 30 July 2011 I doubt we are interested in CJ, just agent talk, we are interested in Shane Long and John Carew Got any Carew sauce?
Happy Fox Posted 30 July 2011 Author Posted 30 July 2011 Got any Carew sauce? Yeah one of the West Ham ITKS Gruesome Dump says so http://www.kumb.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=131371&st=0&sk=t&sd=a&start=12960 Re: Summer Transfer Thread 2011-2012 by indiehammer on Sat Jul 30, 2011 12:16 am From Gruesome Dump on the transfer of Shane Long - No he hasn't. Unlikely to now. We can't compete with the Leicester offer (cash up front). They have also made an apparently "unbelievable" offer for Carew. Presumably waiting for one or the other to come off. Today we made a bid for another striker, so far unenmtioned/unlinked.
Criggers Posted 30 July 2011 Posted 30 July 2011 If Yak goes to another Champ team I think we'll regret it. But CJ? I just can't see a positive thing about it...
Guest Posted 30 July 2011 Posted 30 July 2011 If Yak goes to another Champ team I think we'll regret it. But CJ? I just can't see a positive thing about it... does it matter where he sleeps?
FrankieADZ Posted 30 July 2011 Posted 30 July 2011 rather not, didnt he have 1 good season in the championship with Cardiff then has really done naff all since. rather us spend £4 million on someone from French or the Swedish leagues
kingfox Posted 30 July 2011 Posted 30 July 2011 Jerome isn't a goalscorer he just likes to try his hardest but with no success coming out of it. He could well score about 8 goals at Championship level, but not 20. We can do better, hopefully we stay away from this and target a 20 goal man i.e Maynard or Long.
dannythefox Posted 30 July 2011 Posted 30 July 2011 Good player but not a 20goal a season striker! Be surprised if we were in for him.
Topman Posted 30 July 2011 Posted 30 July 2011 No thanks, he is as bad as Carlton Cole but with dreadlocks
Scoobyrob Posted 30 July 2011 Posted 30 July 2011 If we get CJ and Yak goes to West Ham... Well.... I'd be lost for words........ Probably cause i've shot myself
Yojoe36 Posted 30 July 2011 Posted 30 July 2011 4 quid or 4 million? Well it's not like Brum are going to reject, as they need the f***ing money. :sge: DON'T!!!!
Libertine Posted 30 July 2011 Posted 30 July 2011 I'd rather we had David Cameron up front. Better on the right wing I reckon.
sdb Posted 30 July 2011 Posted 30 July 2011 Tbh, I think CJ would be a good signing...for this season at least. When he was last in this division he looked awesome. He can link up play (we lack that), has a bit of pace, and can grab a goal too. He would't be my first choice at all but for £4 mill he'd fill a very empty void, and would do well i'm sure. Long term, maybe not, but for getting us out this league...not as terrible as some think.
