boring_jester Posted 2 August 2011 Posted 2 August 2011 Awesome goalie in the making hopfully. hope he becomes as good as his dad
MikeyT Posted 2 August 2011 Posted 2 August 2011 Think he looked good against Madrid. Very vocal as well which is something we lacked in Chris Weale. On conceding the two goals you could see how annoyed he was which is what you want to see as a supporter, if that makes sense.

body102 Posted 2 August 2011 Posted 2 August 2011 For anyone interested here are a couple of number plates / door plates i have made for my sons room
blueredswed Posted 2 August 2011 Author Posted 2 August 2011 Still waiting for my super favourite CORLUKA but would not happend this time but wait and see!!!!
blueredswed Posted 2 August 2011 Author Posted 2 August 2011 When Sven prefered Hart before Kasper in Man C.and now you seen he is Englands (next to bee into) number one. This is the same Denmark wake up (but perhaps not) we don`t want such a good goalkeeper against us!
shen Posted 2 August 2011 Posted 2 August 2011 I'm more anxious about him becoming a success here. I'll be loving it if he performs well regularly and gets a picked regularly for the NT. Would be proud to see a Leicester player playing for my country However Danish keepers' success in the UK has been limited to non-existant in recent years. Ankergren, Jimmy Nielsen and even Brian Jensen are/were not exactly great. Martin Hansen promised much but it looks like he'll never make the grade. Nor did Jesper Christiansen or Jørgen Nielsen. Sørensen has become a reserve player and strangely enough never got the chance at a bigger club. Lindegaard won't have a hope in hell now De Gea has arrived. Hopefully Kasper will buck the trend...

Raw Dykes Posted 2 August 2011 Posted 2 August 2011 When I wish Kasper to the squad in January I was dreaming but here he is AND NUMBER 1 ! Your suggestions about this? I am more then delighted Denmarks new number 1 (hmmmm I am living in Sweden) but neighbours.... I agree! Great signing. A good keeper must certainly have been near the top of Sven's shopping list, and I don't think I could have asked for a better signing for that position myself. He's got Premier League experience, featured for Denmark under 21s, and been on the bench for the senior side. He's still only 24, which in goalkeeper years is very young indeed. Obviously, his dad is right up there amongst the best goalkeepers of all time worldwide, so he certainly has pedigree. He is far more commanding than Weale, which does count for a lot, and he is a very good shot-stopper. As I say, he is still a baby in goalkeeper terms, so it's more than likely that the weaker side of his game can be ironed out. I've no doubt he'll end up in the PL again sooner or later. Hopefully it'll be with us.
blueredswed Posted 2 August 2011 Author Posted 2 August 2011 Appologize for Wheale, he is a good goalkeeper mut I think he is number 2 but if Kasper we got 2:nd best
Fox92 Posted 2 August 2011 Posted 2 August 2011 What I liked about Schmeichel is that he made his body big like Peter used too, this is something Weale did not do. His communication is excellent as well, and reading into reports from Leeds it sounds like his distribution is top as well.
Rusko187 Posted 2 August 2011 Posted 2 August 2011 Was really happy with this signing, always choose him on FM and FIFA and I am so excited for next weekend. I do feel for Weale but Kasper has always impressed me with his displays.. Hope he stays for a long time!
samjohnson Posted 2 August 2011 Posted 2 August 2011 I think Kasper will strive under Mike Stowell and his coaching. Fantastic coach and will have a lot to teach a reletivley young keeper. Lets hope he has a decent run under us and makes it to the level at which his dad played at (preferably with us!)
Collymore Posted 2 August 2011 Posted 2 August 2011 Leicester legend! I remember forwarding a link on to people in the office (none of which were lcfc fans) on how Neilson could be potentially the best keeper in the world. Was so embarrassing when he didn't even make it into the squad most of the time! As for schmeichel he has so much potential it's untrue, probably the most exciting prospect in the squad at the moment, schlupp a close 2nd

Love the fact that he bollocks everyone and you could see how mad he got for the goals we conceded against Madrid and in the other friendlies. Proper old school goalie. I think he might kick it out too far though. How long are his goal kicks?!
Jaspa Posted 3 August 2011 Posted 3 August 2011 Anyone remember a 0-0 against Cardiff in the end of the shite years when Kasper was in for then? The only Man on the pitch who kept it level for them. Last year for Leeds he was top dog against us. Good signs, he'l prove himself in these next 2 years. No pressure if your reading this

He did put in a couple of fantastic balls for Howard to attack. Anyone remember a 0-0 against Cardiff in the end of the shite years when Kasper was in for then? The only Man on the pitch who kept it level for them. Last year for Leeds he was top dog against us. I can always remember in that game Hume had a shot which hit the post, it rebounded onto Schmeichel's diving body and hit the post again. (pretty sure it was that match).
Leicester Boy 46 Posted 3 August 2011 Posted 3 August 2011 when he was presented with the motm birch said to him "obviously you came from a big club leeds is a big clubs" and kasper said "was"
cairnsy Posted 3 August 2011 Posted 3 August 2011 when he was presented with the motm birch said to him "obviously you came from a big club leeds is a big clubs" and kasper said "was" Not bitter at all then
cc_star Posted 3 August 2011 Posted 3 August 2011 Quite good friends with a Leeds fans who said his weakness is that he wasn't vocal enough & didn't command his area. So seeing him command his area & be extremely vocal against RM surprised me. This is exactly what we've not had for a number of years. We need a keeper who bosses and bollocks the defence There were quite a few times he reminded me of his Dad, when he came charging out and spreading himself, his distributions was also quick & excellent. Looks to be a good signing, and even if he makes the very occasional gaffe (was it Real Mallorca?) his benefits look to far outweigh them
