Maybes Posted 6 August 2011 Posted 6 August 2011 70 per cent stood throughout. Surprising for cov away. I expect 100 per cent at Forest.

Father Ted Posted 6 August 2011 Posted 6 August 2011 No, you haven't. At least put your own spin on it by doing it facing the pitch or something. Rather than outright stealing it from a set of fans who stole it from Lech Poznan. Shut up. I bet you're one of the Cov daytrippers that makes people sit down.
Austin Posted 6 August 2011 Posted 6 August 2011 Sounded cracking on the radio! gutted I missed it due to work
Al-aLondon-Foxile Posted 6 August 2011 Posted 6 August 2011 I was one of the extra 400 that bought on Thursday. We were near the cov vocal fans & tbh they were loud. Great atmosphere & I'd say approx 75% stood throughout. The team spirit from warm up to exit looks to be incredible. There is some great fun being enjoyed by the players and Nugent seems to be right in amongst it all. Did anyone see Wellens attempt to tug Bamba's shorts down while he was applauding the fans? Ace. I've gotta say that Kasper seems well up for it, he went round and hugged every player prior to KO, & at the end he assembled them all and brought them to us as a unit to applaud us. Fernandez was MOTM for me. Poznan moment of the match, 6000 bouncing loonies ;-)
anglodan Posted 6 August 2011 Posted 6 August 2011 Sorry to be a killjoy but the atmosphere was far from amazing from where I was (Block 11 row J) In occasional short bursts it was LOUD. But it was always over within a few seconds & we didn't get any momentum going For long periods we were outsung by that gaggle of Cov fans in the corner who just sing that 1 song all game When we did all open our mouths it was epic, but there was nowhere near enough of it. That, coupled with the fact that an obvious majority of our supporters just don't know the words to many of our songs so we just end up with "Leicester, leicester leicester leicester' I suspect this is because of the daytrippers tagging along for the day. I've been in far far louder Leicester away ends when there has only been between 1-3 thousand of us. On a positive - Poznan looked brilliant from where I was (not too far from the pitch) I'm happy though, and hopefully the fans & songs can gel together in the same way the team will
ajthefox Posted 6 August 2011 Posted 6 August 2011 Atmosphere was decent, nothing special though. In fairness that one block of cov fans to the right of us, they were alright. Even if that song was stupid they sung it for a good while not long after we scored
Simmsy Posted 6 August 2011 Posted 6 August 2011 I was in row C and fortunately the bloke behind be was a stander as well, thoroughly enjoyed it, great afternoon, cracking support.
Fosse Boy Posted 6 August 2011 Posted 6 August 2011 English Oxide has a point. Nowt wrong with originality.
Bert Posted 6 August 2011 Posted 6 August 2011 People on here were saying Cov away is always quiet and seated and never really gets going. Really? Today there was: - Everyone standing - Amazing volume, completely drowned out the Covscum - Nice variety of songs. - POZNAN after the goal! I didn't like it before I tried it today, and it was epic! I was on the very back row behind the goal and I was next to the guy who started about 25% of the songs! Sore throat, headache, but I don't give a shit!! block 9? Poznan looked awqesome when we scored. Did it happen at the start of the game?

My first time away against the Cov and i agree i thought it was good
fox ache Posted 6 August 2011 Posted 6 August 2011 English Oxide has a point. Nowt wrong with originality. My Cov(scum) mate was there and text me after match that it looked well good when we was doing it, if it gets the opposition talking bout us, then why not ? Steal it, make it your own.........saves thinking

Karljohn Posted 6 August 2011 Posted 6 August 2011 I was Row C Block 9 - had to sit, wanted to stand but was moaned at, Ali Mauchlen was sat near me kicking every ball....poznan was brilliant, turned around and as far as the eye could see just bouncing everywhere. 3 huge bruises on my shins as finished celebrating the goal on Row B.
StarFox Posted 6 August 2011 Posted 6 August 2011 Me and my mate sat down on row E. It wasn't because we didn't want to stand but rather so that others behind us could clearly watch the game.

Focus lads! Looked soooo good though! 6000 fans and the covscum didn't know what had hit them!
Jakemoore Posted 6 August 2011 Posted 6 August 2011 I was row Y seat 5, as close to the home fans as possible, it was epic! C'mon Leicester!!
Tomassi Posted 6 August 2011 Posted 6 August 2011 What would be the point of doing it facing the pitch  If we are the team in the championship doing it, then the opposition will remember US for it I did it facing the pitch as i paid good money to watch the game not a white wall

I was same block/row and fortunately I could stand, seats 21, 22.... etc seemed to be mainly standing.
Karljohn Posted 6 August 2011 Posted 6 August 2011 I was same block/row and fortunately I could stand, seats 21, 22.... etc seemed to be mainly standing. We were seats 1 and 2, had a good 3 rows directly behind us wanting to sit.
Blue_Wigston Posted 6 August 2011 Posted 6 August 2011 How about when city score against reading next Saturday the players celebrate doing the Poznan! I'd like to see that!
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 6 August 2011 Posted 6 August 2011 Block 7 Row CC and most fans were standing for the majority of the game near me (apart from my brothers girlfriend who has a bad back oops ), very good atmosphere in general from City fans, although as others pointed out there was a lack of variety of songs but who cares 3 points steady start, cant ask for much more
