David Guiza Posted 10 August 2011 Posted 10 August 2011 I'm quite surprised by the amount of people who haven't heard of him on here. When he was at Ipswich he was meant to be the next big thing but nothing ever happened. He's never been a massive goal scorer but I'd consider him to be a better option than Dyer personally.
J.Lisemore Posted 10 August 2011 Posted 10 August 2011 Is he better than Dyer i.e can he cross the ball? To be honest mate, I think hes a striker but I rekon he could player winger in the 4-3-3 we play i suppose.
FazzaF Posted 10 August 2011 Posted 10 August 2011 If he is better than Dyer then why not? I thought Haynes was a forward though
bcfc_fan Posted 10 August 2011 Posted 10 August 2011 He's shit, got all the pace in the world but is about as intelligent on the football pitch as my dogs poo
Happy Fox Posted 10 August 2011 Author Posted 10 August 2011 He's shit, got all the pace in the world but is about as intelligent on the football pitch as my dogs poo We still waiting for Maynard's transfer request any time estimate tomorrow perhaps
kingfox Posted 10 August 2011 Posted 10 August 2011 Was a big fan of Haynes when he was at Ipswich monitored him quite a bit tbh, think he deserved more of a chance with them. Also Bristol City he had a mix bag, but for Barnsley he came in and put in some quality displays from January last season. Would love him here to be fair, a very underrated player who has a lot to offer, only as back up again mind.
paddy Agyemang Posted 10 August 2011 Posted 10 August 2011 Good player reminds me of derbyshire but Danny scores. More
Darkon84 Posted 11 August 2011 Posted 11 August 2011 lazy journalism, linking our name, just becuase its us. Danny Haynes gets a big NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO from me
DB11 Posted 11 August 2011 Posted 11 August 2011 Used to sign him on FM a few years back. Ipswich he played for then. I really don't want him here though
Bezzanator89 Posted 11 August 2011 Posted 11 August 2011 He can play either right forward, right attacking mid or a full on out-and-out striker. Has played 196 games and scored 33 goals.
Happy Fox Posted 11 August 2011 Author Posted 11 August 2011 I would take him for 600k Same he would be a better option than Dyer
Happy Fox Posted 11 August 2011 Author Posted 11 August 2011 I don't see how he'd ever get in the squad Dyer's replacement
Burmesefox Posted 11 August 2011 Posted 11 August 2011 He's shit, got all the pace in the world but is about as intelligent on the football pitch as my dogs poo So we are talking another Danny N'Guessen then. Nah, I'm out and I would put money on it we aint interested. We are just being linked with anyone and everyone as the whole world knows Sven wants a striker and possibly a winger. On another note why do so many people talk about how well players do on FM...like it has the slightest bit of relevance? Are some so entrenched in the virtual world that they have a problem with demarkation between that and reality?
Tielemans63 Posted 11 August 2011 Posted 11 August 2011 On another note why do so many people talk about how well players do on FM...like it has the slightest bit of relevance? Are some so entrenched in the virtual world that they have a problem with demarkation between that and reality? I've always thought this too. Glad I'm not the only one who finds any mention of a player's ability on FM bloody annoying.
luke-b Posted 11 August 2011 Posted 11 August 2011 Danny Haynes was something speical on fm07 But now he is a player who has scored about 10 goals in three years Not someone a promotion club should be looking at especially when you have a form player like schlupp available
bluearmyfox23 Posted 12 August 2011 Posted 12 August 2011 Danny Haynes was something speical on fm07 But now he is a player who has scored about 10 goals in three years Not someone a promotion club should be looking at especially when you have a form player like schlupp available yeah but schlupp has only been tested against a league 2 defence so it will be intresting to see how he copes against a championship defence
MikeyT Posted 12 August 2011 Posted 12 August 2011 Barnsley have insisted that they have 'no intention of selling' Danny Haynes and have not received any approaches for the striker. It is understood that Burnley, Leicester, Portsmouth and Hull City are all monitoring Haynes' situation at Oakwell.
Freeman's Wharfer Posted 12 August 2011 Posted 12 August 2011 Sounds like top agent work to me. Name the three clubs that could realistically be after him then bang in Leicester as well to see if anything comes of it, and so that if anyone does get in there ahead of our supposed interest they'll be keen to bag him (on an attractive wage) before we come in with the big bucks...
kingfox Posted 15 August 2011 Posted 15 August 2011 Haynes mentioned again http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/football/3753882/Sven-Goran-Eriksson-wants-to-sign-Barnsley-hitman-Danny-Haynes.html
