gazfox9 Posted 15 August 2011 Posted 15 August 2011 Thing is, even if Kermo hadn't missed THAT penalty, he'd still have been released because he just isn't good enough.
Guest Basildon Fox Posted 15 August 2011 Posted 15 August 2011 So - describe Kermo in one word? You know you want to... Uselesspenaltychippingbastardwhowillthankfullyneverbeinaleicestershirtagain!!

The Year Of The Fox Posted 15 August 2011 Posted 15 August 2011 I would, but no one else send to hate him as much as you... Odd that. And Beckham was stupid, deserved to go for deliberate foul play. What's your point? Don't take this forum as for how the majority of city fans feel. I know far more people away from this forum who can't forgive him than there are on here sticking up for him. Maybe the people I know are more of the old fashioned football fan, I dunno. My point about Beckham was, was he in your opinion, right to be crucified from the stands and have the whole blame of englands defeat land on his shoulders? Certainly not IMO. But his sending off was of less consequence than kermos chip. I'm suprised as many city fans are as forgiving as they say on here. Imagine the reaction of our nation if an England player had a penalty saved in that manner in s similar situation. I do want to sympathise with him believe it or not. I can't though because to the best of my knowledge he's never come out and explained himself nor apologised for trying such a stupid stunt. Why apologise? Well... It's all very well him saying that he told the other players that he didn't want it and that he tended to chip his penalties. That means in my mind that kermorgant knew that it would be the wrong method of taking a penalty yet still chose to go ahead with it. Whose fault is that? Of course be didn't mean to miss it. Id be on a murder charge if I thought he did. (joke ffs) but he meant to chip it. It's a much bigger risk taking a penalty like that. Why is it that normally anyone who gets caught taking a risk (in any way or walk of life)is vilified, yet he's being defended?
GianEmmo Zola Posted 15 August 2011 Posted 15 August 2011 Rather have yann instead of waghorn anyway shame. Wagyy missed a pen too yes he wasnt fancy with his but he missed to. Just saying. .. Ha ha

That was the way he takes penalties and would likely have been a better choice than taking it in a different fashion. as for the two - Moreno is a good decision, we've got enough in midfield and he isn't a defender despite what Sousa thought. As for Yann I can't understand it - why release him when we've only 4 senior strikers in him, Howard, Nugent & waghorn - particularly when Howard seems to be off on loan, surely it would have been better to keep him and Howard, at least until we manage to get someone else in upfront?
Alexikokopops Posted 15 August 2011 Posted 15 August 2011 normally anyone who gets caught taking a risk (in any way or walk of life)is vilified? What on earth are you on about?
Corky Posted 15 August 2011 Posted 15 August 2011 Rather have yann instead of waghorn anyway shame. Wagyy missed a pen too yes he wasnt fancy with his but he missed to. Just saying. .. Ha ha Waghorn contributed far more during Kermorgant's time at the club.
Stig the Lawnmower Posted 15 August 2011 Posted 15 August 2011 I dont think I will ever forgive you Yann, one kick, and you chose to chip, you made a 3 hour trek back from Cardiff utterly miserable. You utter cnut. and that god waghorn didn't miss his? kermagant looks far more comfortable on the ball than waghorn, and better in the air afraid i don't rate waggy at all, the very rare bright spot, that's all. league one player
thybluefox Posted 15 August 2011 Posted 15 August 2011 Kermo is as good, from what I've seen, as Waggy or Howard. The club knows that the majority of fans are still living in the Pearson era though, and they'd never accept him back. Jesus, look what they did to Ricardo just because he ousted the as equally as average Weeuull.
TheUltimateWinner Posted 15 August 2011 Posted 15 August 2011 Releasing kermorgant made me realise something... I had to change my signature. But releasing Kermorgant is a mistake, He was better than the "decaying" Waghorn and Howard isnt getting any younger...
21st Century Fox Posted 16 August 2011 Posted 16 August 2011 In the back of my mind I always thought/wished Kermo's final game would be him coming on as a last ditch substitution in a big game, cockily chip in a winner and then just walk straight down the tunnel with his middle finger held aloft. It just wasn't to be Yann.

It's a flawed argument large al imo. Any footballer uncomfortable in striking the ball in a normal fashion from 12 yards shouldn't be playing the game.
Finnegan Posted 16 August 2011 Posted 16 August 2011 Will people shut the fuck up about Kermogant deserving a chance? He got a chance, Sven took him on tour, had a look at him, realised what we all know (which is that, regardless of penalty miss, he's not good enough to get us out of this division) and told him to get a new club. Honestly, what's wrong with some of you? Get over yourselves.

GianEmmo Zola Posted 16 August 2011 Posted 16 August 2011 Waghorn contributed far more during Kermorgant's time at the club. Well he should off beings yann had been out on loan for a year, Waggy has had one good year when he was on loan. Where we had no pressure on him. When he signed there was more expectation on him and he hasnt delivered, looks dissinterested. He says in his interview he wants to stay and fight for his place and prove his worth. But everytime he has been given a chance he hasnt taken it. Yann is probably not the answer. But he is a better option as back up in attack than what we have. Behind nugent vassell and gallagher. But IF we do sign maynard/yak/roque. Then id be rather excited ! Haha.
MC Prussian Posted 16 August 2011 Posted 16 August 2011 Ah well, all the best in the future, Yann. One hell of an unlucky spell. Could be worse - could be Leon Crncic.
