stillwater Posted 23 August 2011 Posted 23 August 2011 With my very own eyes have just seen Hargreaves and his agent pulling into the Marriott hotel at fosse park. Not sure if it is just an over night stay co-incidence or whether he Is meeting Sven either today or tomorrow. And you know what his agent looks like

Buck1983 Posted 23 August 2011 Posted 23 August 2011 I assume his agent. Could just be staying there. But 100% truth in this.

He said it's easier at hotels as his wife will be none the wiser.

He's not bald Posted 23 August 2011 Posted 23 August 2011 I assume his agent. Could just be staying there. But 100% truth in this. My god, I saw Tony Hadley going in there a while back thought he was going to sign for us,turned out it was just my Instinction!!!!

funkyrobot Posted 23 August 2011 Posted 23 August 2011 Why don't we say to west brom, you have abe and we'll take a risk on Hargreaves? Tell them the same yarn about abe being a fantastic international with excellent freekick skills that we got conned with and then change the locks before west brom realise they've turned down a footballing equivalent of an Aston Martin for a Suzuki jimny.
Petchy Posted 27 August 2011 Posted 27 August 2011 Not directly transfer related, but a good read none the less. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2030501/Owen-Hargreaves-fights-The-moving-story-gifted-footballers-refusal-up.html
Brenfox Posted 27 August 2011 Posted 27 August 2011 A great read that article. He sounds ready to play bar match fitness
Hinckleyfox Posted 28 August 2011 Posted 28 August 2011 I say stick him on a 1 year contract or pay-as-you-play although by the sounds of it WBA have already offered him some sort of deal which I cant work out why he hasnt accepted? If it panned out it would be a great signing but at least if you have him on short term contract its pretty low risk. Although definately NOT at the expense of a striker!!!!!!
Bryn Posted 28 August 2011 Posted 28 August 2011 Really was a shame it didn't work out at United, he could have been one of their greats. Like he says, he's a good athlete, not the best player, but with the mental strength to play above his level, and that really appeals to fans. I'd happily see him fit and back in the England squad. I'm doubtful though. I just don't see how you can go from having knee tendons like "apple sauce" to having "perfect knees" and I don't see that sustaining all those injuries in the course of a few months is anything other than injury prone.
John Matrix Posted 28 August 2011 Posted 28 August 2011 By the start of the following season, he was in trouble. 'It was killing me,' he says. Prolotherapy injections from a specialist in Leicester didn't work. In fact, he says, it made the condition worse so this is why he blew us off

andog Posted 28 August 2011 Posted 28 August 2011 We don't want another midfielder, let Villa etc have him, he's pants anyway
