davieG Posted 17 August 2011 Posted 17 August 2011 Some of you may have noticed there's been lots of new members signing up and posting there's even been some long-standing members who rarely post getting in on the act. This has made it harder to get ones opinion across without someone disagreeing or posting some infantile response. Have the the Admin and mods allowed too many new signings as it seems to have caused a lot of discontent with people talking about transfers and how good it used to be on this and other forums and saying this is not what I signed up for. Many people are questioning the layout of the forum and who should post where and whether there are too many square post in round holes. We're playing Bristol tonight what if Maynard turns up tonight all motivated and wins the game surely it will be the end of the forum. Its on a knife edge already kids. It could all tailspin very easily. Fascinating times directly ahead.
Libertine Posted 17 August 2011 Posted 17 August 2011 Just bring back HUME (to the banner) and we'll all be dandy.

But there are too many people creating too many similar threads IMO!! Plus the forum needs to attract more poon, too much testosterone on this forum, so much so, i'm surprised the hair on your head hasn't started growing back!

Zingari Posted 17 August 2011 Posted 17 August 2011 People need to be more patient and realise that you can’t just buy a successful forum , it takes time . We’re in this together , and there’s still a smashing bunch of lads on the forum and they may need time to gel with the new lads Some posters actually preferred it when the forum was even lower in it’s standing than it is today . Keep the faith
The Doctor Posted 17 August 2011 Posted 17 August 2011 We should only bring in new posters on Loan I feel we should establish a pre-sign up IQ test and only those that reach a certain standard should be allowed to join and post. It should probably apply retroactively as well.
ozleicester Posted 17 August 2011 Posted 17 August 2011 I feel we should establish a pre-sign up IQ test and only those that reach a certain standard should be allowed to join and post. It should probably apply retroactively as well. A forum with no members seems a little pointless though?
The Doctor Posted 17 August 2011 Posted 17 August 2011 A forum with no members seems a little pointless though? you need to scout potential new posters, otherwise you end up with a forum of Elvis Hammonds.
ozleicester Posted 17 August 2011 Posted 17 August 2011 you need to scout potential new posters, otherwise you end up with a forum of Elvis Hammonds. Perhaps all new posters could submit a youtube video of their previous best topics and posts?
Houdini Logic Posted 17 August 2011 Posted 17 August 2011 No starting threads with a post count sub 50. Hopefully after 50 posts you have learnt the general concept/layout of the forum. On that note, someone go sort out all the crap songs that have just been posted in the Leicester Forum
Simmo86 Posted 17 August 2011 Posted 17 August 2011 We should only bring in new posters on Loan Loan posters dont care about the forum though! They haven't got the PASSSHUNNNNN! Permo posters only please! No starting threads with a post count sub 50. Hopefully after 50 posts you have learnt the general concept/layout of the forum. On that note, someone go sort out all the crap songs that have just been posted in the Leicester Forum +1
ozleicester Posted 17 August 2011 Posted 17 August 2011 Loan posters dont care about the forum though! They haven't got the PASSSHUNNNNN! Permo posters only please! +1 But just imagine, we could get 2nd choice posters from Manure, Chelski et al.. not to mention some wannabe french posters. It must be better for the forum overall
Zingari Posted 17 August 2011 Posted 17 August 2011 Webbo is a bad influence on the forum spirit now , ever since he didn't get the mod's armband he's spoiling for a fight in every thread and upsetting our morale. just joking Webbo
Guest Mee-9 Posted 17 August 2011 Posted 17 August 2011 We should loan LargeAl to Talking Balls, with a view for a permenant deal.
purpleronnie Posted 17 August 2011 Posted 17 August 2011 I feel we should establish a pre-sign up IQ test and only those that reach a certain standard should be allowed to join and post. It should probably apply retroactively as well. I'm screwed then.
MC Prussian Posted 17 August 2011 Posted 17 August 2011 Perhaps all new posters could submit a youtube video of their previous best topics and posts? We'll start the first FT-Factor show - where you have to prove in front of a live audience that you have what it takes to be a respected member on here. I can imagine Thracian, Bernie and Jobber in the jury: "You're shit - aaaaaaaaaaaaargh!" Jobber bangs the drums. And Thracian finishes it off with "You're just no Maxi Gradel".
The Doctor Posted 17 August 2011 Posted 17 August 2011 I'm screwed then. The limit can be lowered for Americans. And Mee_9 - sounds like a decent move, slightly better quality there than the newbies here.
Zingari Posted 17 August 2011 Posted 17 August 2011 WEBBO FOR MOD! Is he the missing link? I reckon so , he's FT through and through , we've had enough of the mercenary fancy dans coming here with no passion . Webbo has the old Jock Wallace approach and would insist every poster would have to run up to the top of Old John every morning ( whether John liked it or not )before they were allowed to post WEBBO FOR MOD !!

Dr The Singh Posted 17 August 2011 Posted 17 August 2011 WEBBO FOR MOD! Is he the missing link? Agreed WEBBO FOR GOD!!
Smudge Posted 17 August 2011 Posted 17 August 2011 FFS we've only had three post match threads, lets see what the mood is like after 10 of them
