davieG Posted 30 August 2011 Posted 30 August 2011 It's a shame he was sold but I don't think it was a mistake from Pearson's view, he had a certain way of playing that didn't suit Gradel and as he had no reason to believe he'd be leaving/forced out of the club it was correct for him to cash in.

At the time Maxi wanted and needed to play but wasn't gonna play in our 1st team regularly enough, NP had to let him go, playing for Leeds every week helped him improve into the player he is now
