Ricey Posted 22 August 2011 Posted 22 August 2011 http://www.dailymail...Leicester.html? Mentioned as interested but Gradel himself only mentions Fulham and West Ham.
topharry123 Posted 22 August 2011 Posted 22 August 2011 Would love him back, exactly what we need. Remeber being incredibly disappointed when we sold him.
TheUltimateWinner Posted 22 August 2011 Posted 22 August 2011 Gradel, He would welcome a move back and I did hear we are chasing him. All i can say at the moment sorry everyone!
Stevosevic Posted 22 August 2011 Posted 22 August 2011 He has improved massively since he left and i think Sven would love him Can't see it happening though.
boring_jester Posted 22 August 2011 Posted 22 August 2011 I hope it happens. that nack of scoring against us would end lo. and he is a lot better then before we sold him
FallenAngel Posted 22 August 2011 Posted 22 August 2011 I was sad to see him leave too, he has come on in leaps and bound since, a brilliant lad, have always liked him
lcfcsmith Posted 22 August 2011 Posted 22 August 2011 He does only mention Fulham and West Ham, probably another reporter thinking that just because a player is being linked with a move to top-end championship/bottom-end premiership clubs, they must also have Leicester after them. And I was glad to see him leave, at the time he was not good enough for the Championship and it took him a while to settle in at this level with Leeds, but I'd welcome him back now.
CKB Posted 22 August 2011 Posted 22 August 2011 If we are geniunely interested and so are Fulham, then no chance... If we are interested and only West Ham are then it's a possibilty, but either way i just can't see this happening and is more than likely lazy jounalism
Jaspa Posted 22 August 2011 Posted 22 August 2011 Wouldnt get him back myself Good flair, with pace, skill, trickery. But has a huge temprement problem, and don't think he's full suited for the prem, should go a high end French side IMO. Besides I think we might have a chance with Gio Dos Santos, big links with Sven, still isnt doing anything and is way better than Maxi. Best of luck to Max, but c'mon Sven you know u want abit Mexican
ronnup Posted 22 August 2011 Posted 22 August 2011 Jesus. This is getting embarrassing. Maybe linekar will sign for us?
thybluefox Posted 22 August 2011 Posted 22 August 2011 Jesus. This is getting embarrassing. Maybe linekar will sign for us? Uh who? Would like him back but I'm not going to start spaffing my pants because I really can't see it happening.

Jaspa Posted 22 August 2011 Posted 22 August 2011 Agree, but maybe that's what dirty Leeds have taught him? Did look like it when he was pummeling the ground a couple weeks back. Wasn't that bad here. But we shouldn't bring him back, basicly giving Leeds free money and goals(last year)
accessory Posted 22 August 2011 Posted 22 August 2011 Would be worth it to see WACCOE explode with rage and probably take out a contract on Ken Bates. But there's no way either Bates or Grayson are going to let Maxi follow Kasper down the M1..
LeeTheFox Posted 23 August 2011 Posted 23 August 2011 Gradel will cost us around 5-7 mil, this cant be right.... surely?
wolfgang amadeus Posted 23 August 2011 Posted 23 August 2011 Gradel will cost us around 5-7 mil, this cant be right.... surely? Knock a few million off as he's not British.
Ric Flair Posted 23 August 2011 Posted 23 August 2011 We also have a 25% sell-on clause so knock that off it too. Bargain.
General Smuts Posted 23 August 2011 Posted 23 August 2011 FFS HE CAN'T ****ING CROSS! I'm beccoming a full time Stevenage fan if he re-signs.
isaidno Posted 23 August 2011 Posted 23 August 2011 This is from the same paper that said that we were signing Grant Holt and announced that we had signed Matt Derbyshire.
Thracian Posted 23 August 2011 Posted 23 August 2011 It is amusing thinking of Leicester paying millions to re-sign a former player they just couldn't and wouldn't use properly. Gradel has improved - and inevitably so - but not dramatically. What changed was that Leeds appreciated his ability and showed faith by giving him the role and the game time he needed to do his job with confidence instead of trashing him for making the odd mistakes that couldn't compare with the errors of senior players I've witnessed even in this short-lived season. If Pearson had done what Grayson's done we'd have put the final polish to our own asset instead of leaving others to do it for us and losing all the financial benefit from years of people like Beaglehole developing that talent. I'll be amazed if he comes back here. In recent times we've been a graveyard for wingers, when we've bothered using them at all. We don't even seem to have an attacking coach or anyone who seems capable of attending to the details necessary to score goals consistently. And when we leave the young, fast, powerful, enthusiastic, "something-to-prove" Schlupp on the sidelines while deploying the likes of makeshift winger Gallagher as a central striker, with the brief of pressurising the opposition defence, it just shows how way off the mark our decision-making is when it comes to attack. Schlupp must have felt great - just like Pearson made Gradel feel. First Schlupp's dropped after one game of being deployed completely out of position. Then we choose a pretend centre-forward ahead of him... a psychological masterpiece and exactly the sort of shit Gradel should want to avoid cos wingers aren't just functionaries. They're risk takers, people who might lose the ball in trying to rip some holes in defences. They make mistakes ... look how many mistakes Giggs makes. But they bring rewards too, as Giggs' trophy cabinets will readily testify.
Bettsy82 Posted 23 August 2011 Posted 23 August 2011 The sale of Max Gradel was one of the worst pieces of business in this clubs history. Would love to see him back but can't see it, cheers Pearson.
Dicko Posted 23 August 2011 Posted 23 August 2011 I'd love to see Gradel back, I was disappointed when we sold him, and he has clearly improved since he went to Leeds. I do also think that he would fit into the 433 system perfectly when we use that, as he's comfortable on either flank and can finish as well. As people have said though, I cant' see it happening especially if there is Prem interest.
General Smuts Posted 23 August 2011 Posted 23 August 2011 That Levi Porter looks dangerous for Wigston Car Breakers FC.

How many players have made a successful return to LCFC over the last ten years, players should not go back as they have moved on the club has moved on and it is virtually impossible to fullfil the fans expectations,
