Sven has made no attempts to sign a real winger so far and that's despite us having very little in terms of real wide players. Not to mention that there isn't anything in stone that links us, sky have simply proclaimed we are "keeping tabs", whatever that means. The only reason we're being linked is because we've had a massive change in personnel, we have plenty of backing and we are his old club.

That article was posted on the 25th and the first article that started this on the 22nd. I don't recall there being any prior mention from Sven of us wanting a wide man and either way, there's been no mention of Gradel and if he hadn't played for us we'd never have even been mentioned. This is based on as much of a solid ground as every other rumour we've seen this summer.
foxes2011 Posted 28 August 2011 Posted 28 August 2011 the way i see it is max gradel is to dear and unavailable, i see maynard as unavailable and certainly to dear but would be happy to get him or gradel but dont think it will happen. when the club really thinks about it have 12 more months of the yak on 40 grand a week for 50 weeks would be 2 million pound to have yakubu for one year i think that is worth it, if we did get promoted then we could probley afford to buy him im guesing they have been quated 8 million for him and that with the wages is just rediculous and sven wouldnt accept that but i think a loan deal would be worth it, hope they do he is quality.

Not disagreeing with your point, but Micky Adams did get us promoted to the top tier in the past 10 years.
