broughtonblue Posted 25 August 2011 Posted 25 August 2011 Anyone going, or did anyone go last year? Just wondering whether it will be up to much?
The Year Of The Fox Posted 25 August 2011 Posted 25 August 2011 I know of a fair few who are going. Not bothering myself, but its pretty good by all accounts
Kenners Posted 25 August 2011 Posted 25 August 2011 I went last year and it was okay. It was in the first year so it wasnt really 'buzzing' and you found yourself sitting around for ages waiting for something to happen. It promises to be better this year but i'm not going. It was £27 for me including camping, this year the only camping ticket is £70. granted its for 2 nights but still too much imo for whats effectively only a local festival.

There wasa big feature in tonight's Mercury. Some good acts are on, but none I'd pay £70 for.
Ric Flair Posted 26 August 2011 Posted 26 August 2011 The Rifles are worth paying £70 and to sit in the rain for two days off your tits on meow meow. I'd go if I wasn't otherwise engaged.

The Year Of The Fox Posted 27 August 2011 Posted 27 August 2011 My mates band Great Imitaion are playing at 1pm today.( Guitarist currently steaming round my house)
DB11 Posted 27 August 2011 Posted 27 August 2011 I know a few people who are going, couldn't justify the money myself when I could have done a game today for £30 and have to be at work tomorrow at 10am. Work was ridiculously busy in Co-Op Ibstock this morning with all of the people going to the festival!!
Filbert_Ross Posted 27 August 2011 Posted 27 August 2011 My mate's band By The Rivers are playing tonight. Check 'em oot if you like white-boy-reggaeish stuff. Gonna be supporting The Specials soon. Nile is my cousin. topband.
