Trav Le Bleu Posted 2 September 2011 Posted 2 September 2011 Dammit, I started on a NINETIES List before I realised! The Sophtware Slump - Grandaddy Songs for the Deaf - Queens Of The Stone Age Let It Come Down - Spiritualized Relationship of Command - At The Drive-in. Deloused At The Comatorium - The Mars Volta (If that's not really the same band as above ) Thunder, Lightning, Strike - The Go! Team Antics - Interpol Come On Feel Illinoise - Sufjan Stevens Ballad of the Broken Seas - Isobel Campbell and Mark Lanegan Angles - Dan Le Sac vs Scroobius Pip Fleet Foxes - Fleet Foxes well that's 11, but since At The Drive-In and The Mars Volta are practically the same band, they kind of count as one, but I couldn't cut either - sorry! My very difficult short list that I had to cut ran to 20.

Stay Positive Posted 4 September 2011 Author Posted 4 September 2011 1. Gaslight Anthem - The '59 Sound 2. The Bouncing Souls - How I Spent My Summer Vacation 3. Burial - Untrue 4. The Hold Steady - Boys And Girls In America (Although Constructive Summer is on Stay Positive, easily their best song) 5. The Streets - Original Pirate Material 6. The Strokes - Is This It 7. Kings Of Leon - Aha Shake Heartbreak 8. Gallows - Orchestra Of Wolves 9. Arctic Monkeys - WPSIATWIN 10. Jimmy Eat World - Bleed American I do love all their albums, I must admit, and BAGIM would have been my second choice by them. I think they got better with each album up to Stay Positive. Actually Heaven Is Whenever is a fine album too, but it couldn't quite surpass Stay Positive for me, though "A Slight Discomfort" is an incredible finale.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 4 September 2011 Posted 4 September 2011 I'd just like to give Junior by Royksopp an "honourable mention."
Fox42 Posted 6 July 2012 Posted 6 July 2012 1. Royksopp - Melody A.M. 2. Chicane - Thousand Mile Stare 3. Royksopp - Junior 4. Chicane - Giants 5. Royksopp - Senior 6. Plej - Electronic Music From The Swedish Left Coast 7. Lemon Jelly - KY 8. Katie Melua - Pictures 9. Coldplay - Viva La Vida Or Death And All His Friends 10. James Blunt - Back To Bedlam
Leicester_Numan Posted 13 July 2012 Posted 13 July 2012 (1) Gary Numan - Pure. (2) Gary Numan - Jagged. (3) LCD Soundsystem - Sound of Silver. (4) NIN - With Teeth. (5) Disturbed - Believe. (6) Ade Fenton - Artificial Perfect. (7) Little Boots - Hands. (8) La Roux - La Roux. (9) Calvin Harris - I Created Disco. (10) OMD - History of Modern. I could have easily filled that top 10 with Numan albums but it would look like I don't listen to anything else. Some good electronic & rock albums in that lot. EDIT actually, I think History of Modern was 2010 so (10) Queens of the Stone Age - Songs for the Deaf
