Rincewind Posted 6 October 2012 Posted 6 October 2012 May be so but to some people he and Stringer are lifesavers. I have a friend who is blind so the commentry is vital and he is thankful for them. One story he told me was how he was listing to one game a few years back (forget which one) and City conceded a late goal and my friend threw his radio across the room througgh an open window. The radio still works but has a lot of tape around it. 2-0 yeahhhh! SWtringer saying OG. Who cares?
21st Century Fox Posted 6 October 2012 Posted 6 October 2012 Young: "I'll be on the phone to you, never mind this text nonsense".
AKCJ Posted 6 October 2012 Posted 6 October 2012 Am I the only one who thinks they're that shit they're good? I enjoy listening to them.
Rincewind Posted 6 October 2012 Posted 6 October 2012 Given the alternative (nothing) I can bear them for a couple of hours a week. I try and think of them as a comedy duo. Not Premier League though.

Rincewind Posted 6 October 2012 Posted 6 October 2012 Young reckons he's going to travel to an away game on a supporters coach. You have been warned.
Northants Fox 3 Posted 6 October 2012 Posted 6 October 2012 Am I the only one who thinks they're that shit they're good? I enjoy listening to them. Nope your not the only one, I like listening to then too
ScouseFox Posted 6 October 2012 Posted 6 October 2012 Yeah, as much of an absolute disabled Young usually is they're both decent to listen to if you can't watch/get to the game. I've listened to a few other local radio comms and they're very dull in comparison.
Leicfox Posted 6 October 2012 Posted 6 October 2012 I always listen to the opposition commentary until the post match interviews, not because I dislike Stringer or Young but because I like to know what's going on in the game and to see what others think of how were playing.
AKCJ Posted 6 October 2012 Posted 6 October 2012 Does Wes Morgan say 'yeah absolutely' every time someone addresses him?
Danno Posted 6 October 2012 Posted 6 October 2012 Does Wes Morgan say 'yeah absolutely' every time someone addresses him? Haha me and my Dad have counted 17 'erms' in the car, 4 'obviouslys' and 3 'yeah absolutely'
LeicesterAreGoingUp Posted 6 October 2012 Posted 6 October 2012 'lee danns' 'i've been saying it for a while now, play marshall behind the strikers' - please
ealingfox Posted 7 October 2012 Posted 7 October 2012 Young : I often get Ben and Dannsy mixed up and call him Lee Marshall. Stringer : What? Neither of them are called Lee. Young : It's Lee Danns! Stringer : City have just got a penalty and scored it while we've been waffling. Did the penalty bit actually happen? That should be cause for a disciplinary really, I'd be furious if I was listening.
LCFC BEAST Posted 3 November 2012 Posted 3 November 2012 Stringer: Why is he called 'One Size' Alan? Young: Because 'One Size' Fitz Hall
Guest MattP Posted 3 November 2012 Posted 3 November 2012 Stringer at 3.25: he's everything what's wrong with the game instead of shooting hes looking for a free kick Stringer at 4.30: James needs to go down there, take a swan dive and you probably get a pen.
Petchy Posted 3 November 2012 Posted 3 November 2012 Stringer: "Ferme la bouche... that's french for shut your mouth... isn't it? That's what I always got told...." *Awkward silence*

Football at the moment in a nutshell. That and all this he called me names bollocks.

Pissed me off, that. Double standards. No-one should ever 'need to go down'. We are all crying out for honesty in this day and age and it doesn't help when you have crap like this being said (by a lot of people, not just Ian). Just hypocritical and annoys the hell out of me.

Gary Neville was saying the same the other day, going on about how we need to clamp down on diving but then saying you're entitled to go down if you feel a touch. Which brings me to Tony Pulis, who is totally ok with cheating and diving unless it's done by the opposition.
