davieG Posted 22 September 2011 Posted 22 September 2011 http://www.thefa.com...charged-220911? Brighton and Hove Albion have been charged by The FA for failing to control their players during their match at Leicester City on Saturday 17 September 2011. The club has until 4pm on 26 September 2011 to respond to the charge.
Bugg Posted 22 September 2011 Posted 22 September 2011 What did Brighton do apart from get a player sent off?
Guest MattP Posted 22 September 2011 Posted 22 September 2011 are they just handing these out for anything now?
Guest Bilo Posted 22 September 2011 Posted 22 September 2011 These charges are almost a badge of honour now.
davieG Posted 22 September 2011 Author Posted 22 September 2011 £5 grand a time easy income for the FA.
RowlattsFox Posted 22 September 2011 Posted 22 September 2011 What did Brighton do apart from get a player sent off? They were a little robust with their complaints after the red, remember thinking at the time that they may get a fine.
Matt Posted 22 September 2011 Posted 22 September 2011 The F.A need to get of their fucking high horses. Respect? What respect? Little tin gods. Not too bothered as this doesn't affect us, but they have affected us with it, and they have affected us with shite referee decisions this season so far.
lcfc_sam_p Posted 22 September 2011 Posted 22 September 2011 Do we get 5k every time a ref or lino makes a shocking decision?
Guest shearfox Posted 22 September 2011 Posted 22 September 2011 Do we get 5k every time a ref or lino makes a shocking decision? If we did, we would have easily got back all the money we spent over the summer!
ScouseFox Posted 22 September 2011 Posted 22 September 2011 Isn't it a fine for the amount of yellow cards they received, seen as they got 5? Pretty sure that's the rule.
Zingari Posted 22 September 2011 Posted 22 September 2011 are they being charged with having miserable fans too ?
Bilbo Posted 22 September 2011 Posted 22 September 2011 Isn't it a fine for the amount of yellow cards they received, seen as they got 5? Pretty sure that's the rule. I hope this is the case otherwise it's just embarrasing. Giving out fines "willy nilly" to any team that doesn't act like a bunch of emotionless robots is a joke.
shade Posted 22 September 2011 Posted 22 September 2011 overpaid philandering jerkwads surrounding a referee is getting old now, the FA should fine any home club 10% of gate receipts if anyone other than the player involved and captain even talks to the referee, and away teams 10% of their next home game. that would stop it.

Larry_LCFC Posted 22 September 2011 Posted 22 September 2011 Ridiculous. Brighton didnt do anything wrong, just like we didnt either when we got our fine. Stupidity on behalf of the moneygrabbing FA.
stockyfox Posted 22 September 2011 Posted 22 September 2011 I am of the firm opinion that there is no person, no manager, no player, no Club any guilty of bringing the game into disrepute more than the FA itself. It's refusal to readily accept technology into the game epitomises their archaic attitude. Their unequivical support for referees and the way they come down like a ton of bricks on anyone affiliated to a Club who dares to even mildly criticise a ref, even though video evidence will more than substantiate their perceived criticism, is a national disgrace. Alan Young came out with a pearler last night, to the effect that 'referees are not always right but they are never wrong'. The FA are like daleks chirping 'Disrespect, disrespect, disrespect'. However, they daren't turn on the fans because they are sensible enough to realise that without us, there would be no FA, no Clubs and they would have to live the same mundane lifestyle like everybody else. Don't get me going! No! rant over. Sunday prediction; Bluebirds - very few,n if any: Foxes - goals galore! Now what does 'FA' stand for? Oh yes! 'Foxes Again' or whatever comes to mind!!!!
lcfc_sam_p Posted 22 September 2011 Posted 22 September 2011 Personally I wouldn't like goal line technology in the game. Like nothing more than the controversy. Something to speak about in the pub, or at work on monday. Yes its horrible when a bad decision goes against your team but it'll make the game too stop start, I like the human error part of the game.
shade Posted 22 September 2011 Posted 22 September 2011 Please tell me you're kidding. serious as cancer. of the face.
Corky Posted 22 September 2011 Posted 22 September 2011 Their sending-off was a red card (well, second yellow), we had a perfectly good goal ruled out. Yet their protests were obviously louder and harsher than ours. Great restraint shown by the players.

To be fair to the FA they have offered to trial new technology but it's FIFA and UEFA that keep blocking it. Even with referees the guidelines are laid down by FIFA. In fact the FA are fairly toothless and I'm sure if they didn't bring in these charges then UEFA/FIFA would have something to say about. The FA died when the Premier League was formed.
Yojoe36 Posted 22 September 2011 Posted 22 September 2011 What!? The FA have lost it Or they're just bigots
Fmfox Posted 22 September 2011 Posted 22 September 2011 doesnt surprise me, i remember a player pushing the ref when he sent the guy off. Pretty sure you can see it on the highlights
ScouseFox Posted 22 September 2011 Posted 22 September 2011 I'd like to repeat that I am almost 100% sure that this has nothing to do with "overreactions to decisions" or anything like that, it is purely a formality if a team receives 5 yellow cards in one match. Which Brighton did.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 22 September 2011 Posted 22 September 2011 I'd say it was handbags at 10 paces, but with it being Brighton I'm afraid I'd be accused of homophobia.
