Do Derby or Forest care?

Recommended Posts

weather we play against southhamton, derby or whoever else we may play against obviously we want to win and that goes for every other team and if it dosnt then it dosnt speak much for there ambitions. Obviously we care, obviously we want to win everyone secretly hopes to be a bit like united and become all about glory its only human. We are Leicester City and we want to win the league, same as every other club, if you dont want to win then you may as well not turn up.

I reckon that's about right, especially in Loughborough the Forest-Leicester rivalry is stronger.

Im from Loughborough originally and grew up in the Clough European Cup era so all i had at school was a load of abuse from glory hunters whilst we had a fairly average to poor team at the time. I would definately say there is some real tension in the town, i have a few mates from the dark side of football life and although we laugh and joke to try and be mature about the situation, there is no doubting football wise we detest each other

I couldn't give a flying ****. THE most deluded set of fans you'll come across. Just leave them alone to think they're Real Madrid and Barcelona, we'll go about our own business.

I work with lots of Derby and Forest fans and I think the prize for the most deluded goes to...Fo*£st.

They are a bit arrogant as well.

Derby fans can be talked round and you can even see eye to eye with them about the way that achievement 30 years ago counts for nothing today.

That is not a point to which Forest fans can agree.

Derby and Leicester fans like the banter and rivalry, whereas Fo*£st fans go on the defensive every ****ing time.

Can i just ask. Why do we care what they say they think about us.

If I was a tree or a sheep reading this I'd be laffin like fvck.

Lets all get wound up by them fvckers.

Just out of interest when football hooliganism was at its most promenent in the mid 80's Leicester actually sided with Derby to have a pop at Forest one saturday afteroon because Derby couldnt get enough boys together. The game made so called history as its was the first time two rivals, who clashed with each other only a few weeks later, got together to have a go at another rival.

I used to live in Derby and I know a lot of Derby and Forest fans......they do seem to spend an awful lot of time and energy banging on about how much they don't care about us!..hahaha

Also, this seems to come down to how old you are and what area you live or grew up in.

My personal opinion is as follows:-

I love to see Forest fail the most, deluded bunch living on past glories. (gutted mcclown didn't finish the job he started)

I Lived in Derby and wow...what a city that is!! I pity them more than anything and from what I have seen and been told a large number of their hardcore fans are BNP!! (ooh controversial!)

I like to see Cov fail, but that has just become a little too predictable over the last few seasons!

Peterborough!..I have racked my brain and...well, no opinion!

My brother works the away section and he said the Derby fans we're pleasant and saying the whole we don't hate you thing when they arrived.

He said during the match the mood started to change and as the goals went in some of them we're holding their heads in disbelief and frustration.

Towards the end he said they we're hurling insults and abuse at L block, no surprise there then since i worked in the away section for a time and this can often happen :crylaugh: and one chap was about crying :dunno:

Stewarding the away section is quite fun but i had to give it up fairly early due to being reemployed to my old job and the hours for training clashed :(

Was alledgedly called the DLA (Derby Leicester Alliance) for this punch up, so i heard rumour has it etc etc

Sums up their desperation. What's that saying about protesting too much?

My mate goes uni in Nottingham and says when he speaks to Forest fans and says he's from Leicester (he's a Manure fan so it's not like he'd be telling them he hates Forest) the VERY first thing they say is 'we don't care about you, we only hate Derby'.

They are a bit embarrassing to say the least.

I do enjoy these Forest and Derby love-ins.

So sweet.

"We don't care about Leicester" say Forest.

"Neither do we" reply Derby.

"They are just a small club" they say together.

"Of course, we never discuss them on our forums, or sing about them at games, or sign up to their forums to tell them we don't care".

I don't but then I don't live in the midlands. Beating teams like Brighton and Palace is much higher on my priority.

I think they care a bit, everyone hates Leicester.

Whats gonna happen to poor old Derby next season when we are promoted and forest are relegated??

also, I wonder if east midlands today will still be rimming forest when they are back in league one??

Posted

Iv always seen the east midlands rivalries as a bit of a family love in. Derby being the little brother always trying to up us and Leicester the cousin nobody likes trying to get involved..unsuccesfully.

Forest will always be the club people from outside the midlands think of first when it comes to this part of the country. The fact that we are shit now doesn't change that :D

I dont care much for Derby in all honesty,I care more about doing over cov than Derby. They both care they're just ficle about being absoultely slaughtered.

If Billy Davies returns to forest, Natalie Jackson will be licking his arse every week like last season.

Forest will always be the club some people from Nottingham think of first when it comes to this part of the country. The fact the they are shit now is just amusing :D

I love the irony in that facebook group - they care about us so little their only recent news involves us.

Even better when you click on the creator of the group and his one mutual friend with me is "Matthew Fryatt".

Doesnt care about us though. :crylaugh:
