tylesta Posted 2 October 2011 Posted 2 October 2011 Hahahaha Forest & Derby fans don't care???? on football forums they loiter the leicester threads like fuk!!! they have special nicknames for us bin dippers festa etc. rivalry will always be there, rivalry just doesn't go out the window overnight they both hate us like we hate them. like the west midlands teams they, birmingham v villa, wolves v wba but they all are rivals and hate and want to beat each other, anyone remember the forest song that used to go through you? we hate derby we hate leicester the day they stop hating us will be that one of us went out of buisness there jsut fickle and have there heads up there arses, if derby smashed us 4-0 yesterday i gurantee that youtube would be buzzing with sweaty sheep giving us stick. they class doncaster as a local rival which is in south yorkshire come on!!! if they wish to calim to not bother about us then let them ignore them on forums etc let them have there 2 games a season!! i class all teams from the midlands rivals hate some more than others as you do i will always hate forest and derby and they will always hate us!
Ilkeston_Fox Posted 2 October 2011 Posted 2 October 2011 No. Who cares, hate/dislike who you want to. Enjoy the moment when you get it, put up with it when they get their moment.
shade Posted 2 October 2011 Posted 2 October 2011 sorry to be mr sensible but does anyone else think that claiming you "hate" someone because they live quite near to you is mental? anyway, I've got to get back to poisoning my neighbours dog, god I hate him.

I've always wondered about that logic in all honesty. I guess it's just living in Leicestershire, you're more likely to see Derby/Forest/Cov fans than Ipswich/Middlesbrough/Cardiff, so you're automatically more fussed about getting one over the people you'll actually see.

It's not that difficult to grasp
Guest Bilo Posted 2 October 2011 Posted 2 October 2011 Yes they do. They claim otherwise but their excessive keenness to do so shows their true feelings. You had only to see the way the Forest fans reacted to the abandonment of the game where Clive Clarke had a heart attack, as well as the way they come pouring on here pre and post matches with us. Derby fans are the same with their numerous threads devoted to how little they care about us. It's the same with us. Forest are our main rivals with Derby second.
Socks Posted 2 October 2011 Posted 2 October 2011 who cares! Forest lost again today... he he he he I hope they go down dont really care about Derby
Kitchandro Posted 2 October 2011 Posted 2 October 2011 Who cares. They're shit, we're not. This. We are a bigger club than them so they can have their little bumboy 'lets be famous by association thing' and we can just laugh at them being shit.
Socks Posted 2 October 2011 Posted 2 October 2011 err is there a MOD about ? The time stamp on posts is an hour behind
potter3 Posted 2 October 2011 Posted 2 October 2011 err is there a MOD about ? The time stamp on posts is an hour behind That'll be down to your personal settings.
Kitchandro Posted 2 October 2011 Posted 2 October 2011 Words from a true forest fan there. Your fellow trees would be proud.
Raw Dykes Posted 2 October 2011 Posted 2 October 2011 It'll also depend on which teams are in the same division. Leicester vs. sheep shaggers was the only East Midlands derby for a while not so long ago when f*rest were stuck in league 1 for years. There might not be an East Midlands derby at all next season - there might only be one East Midlands club in each of the top 3 divisions.
ajthefox Posted 2 October 2011 Posted 2 October 2011 I love smashing Forest, Derby and Cov. I bet they all feel the same. No. Who cares, hate/dislike who you want to. Enjoy the moment when you get it, put up with it when they get their moment. These two sum up how I feel on the matter. Most of our fans play down the cov rivalry but a win against any 3 of them for me is worth more then the rest of the games and I have no doubt Forest, Derby and Cov all prefer wins over us to the average team, even if we aren't their biggest game. It just annoys me when people bang on about it. Other fans can say what they want, as can we but there is something there no doubt about it.
thybluefox Posted 2 October 2011 Posted 2 October 2011 A lot of it is also down to where you live, to me Cov is a much bigger game than Derby ever will be.
wellyfox Posted 2 October 2011 Posted 2 October 2011 Kids in the play ground or what. Ignore the fvckers and they will care. How do i know that. This topic proves it :crylaugh: Now they have seen this they will care about us even less.
Spudulike Posted 2 October 2011 Posted 2 October 2011 that isn't as big a factor as you think - ask the older generations of city and forest fans and the general consensus is that Leicester - Forest was "THE" derby until the derby - forest connections with Clough started. Spot on The current Derby/Forest rivalry has no great history.
lestajigs Posted 2 October 2011 Posted 2 October 2011 It's the same as half of leicester fans saying they don't care about cov!!!
JmorsonLCFC Posted 2 October 2011 Posted 2 October 2011 I hate everyone that isn't leicester so I don't care whether they see us as a rival or not
Kilworthfox Posted 2 October 2011 Posted 2 October 2011 Why are you even bothered? As long as we get 3 points every game, surely it dont matter who thinks what about LCFC?
Kitchandro Posted 2 October 2011 Posted 2 October 2011 For the record, I think quite a lot of them do care. Most of them probably think games with each other are more important but that doesn't mean they don't like beating us. I don't really see how it's relevant though, Leicester fans see it as a derby game and that doesn't really change because some Forest and Derby fans deny it. After all they are factually, East Midlands derbies. It's not like it affects the matchday atmospheres or makes it any less sweet when they are doing as shit as they are
buzzy Posted 2 October 2011 Posted 2 October 2011 well derby must care because i went on there forum this morning to see what they are saying about the game and all i read was we are a nothing club. got no history. we are the middlesbrough of the east midlands etc etc. so i replied back a though times and tonight when i got home they have banned me from the forum. so derby must care and i have only got one thing to say to them brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

LestaFox92 Posted 2 October 2011 Posted 2 October 2011 I've always grown up being told its forest then derby but i hate them both equally but if by some minor miracle they get MON i will ****in despise forest i swear to god!
Mike the Metal Ed Posted 3 October 2011 Posted 3 October 2011 sorry to be mr sensible but does anyone else think that claiming you "hate" someone because they live quite near to you is mental? anyway, I've got to get back to poisoning my neighbours dog, god I hate him. It's not about hate, it's about local bragging rights. If you've ever worked with a Forest fan or a Derby fan and been on the losing end the previous Saturday, it's that dread of going in that makes a derby.
Stay Positive Posted 3 October 2011 Posted 3 October 2011 I think this can be answered by a certain end of season match at the City Ground under O'Neill's tenure... We'd already got another top ten premiership finish in the bag, and Forest had been convincingly relegated after a shocking season. They managed to scrape a 1-0 win in a very poor match, and what did they do? They were so delighted that they actually invaded the pitch at the end! Now, normally losing at Forest is no fun at all, but on this occasion, it was utterly hilarious to see all their fans' faces as they realised that we didn't actually care all that much and were just happy to watch them being relegated. That was a great day out, despite the result.
