blueredswed Posted 22 October 2011 Posted 22 October 2011 Billy Davies or Karl Robinson for me. But knoqing Top he would go for a big name who has no experience in the Championship and do a Sven I think you would sleep now little kid
Danny the Fox 95 Posted 22 October 2011 Posted 22 October 2011 I think you would sleep now little kid doesn't make sense
HoustonFox Posted 22 October 2011 Posted 22 October 2011 I think you would sleep now little kid First time I've not seen you end a post with dude!!!!
Nocturnal Posted 22 October 2011 Posted 22 October 2011 doesn't make sense Perhaps you could say it properly in Swedish for him?
THEFATBASTARD Posted 22 October 2011 Posted 22 October 2011 A new manager? never thought of that one before, A cunning plan, bound to work.
tyneside fox Posted 22 October 2011 Posted 22 October 2011 chris powell is doing well at Charlton.. If we are going to stick with SGE would like to see an attacking coach come in to replace Dietmar Hamann/Chris Powell instead of it being left to Stowell who is a goalkeeping coach.
Guest shearfox Posted 22 October 2011 Posted 22 October 2011 A new manager? never thought of that one before, A cunning plan, bound to work. Never been tried before I'm up for it, it could be what takes us to the prem.
tyneside fox Posted 22 October 2011 Posted 22 October 2011 If we are going to stick with SGE I would like to see an attacking coach come in to replace Dietmar Hamann/Chris Powell who by the way is doing a good job at Charlton.
Father Ted Posted 22 October 2011 Posted 22 October 2011 I would go for Chris Powell. Failing that I'd go for Gus Poyet (pay the compensation). Failing that I'd have Mark Robins. EDIT: Also, am I the only one that thinks Derek Fazackerley is a shit coach?
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 22 October 2011 Posted 22 October 2011 Chris Powell is doing okay at Charlton at the mo, but how about Mark Hughes?
Guest Col city fan Posted 22 October 2011 Posted 22 October 2011 This thread is pointless tbh For me, it would be either Billy Davies or Lee Clark, both of whom are realistically gettable.. However, it's about money and improving the image of the club in Thailand. 'Big name' Sven achieves this Sod whether Sven can manage players or not.... All wrong really...
blueredswed Posted 22 October 2011 Posted 22 October 2011 First time I've not seen you end a post with dude!!!! Forgotten that sorry :scarf: Wish you a good life and thanks! :scarf:

Whatever people think about Sven, I certainly wouldn't want billy Davies. He bottled it when he was at city as a player, and he's a moaning git as a manager.

thybluefox Posted 22 October 2011 Posted 22 October 2011 All these names being banded about, I wouldn't want any of them.
Libertine Dream Posted 22 October 2011 Posted 22 October 2011 Mark Hughes Owen Coyle(if sacked) Solskjaer(great shout) Poyet Lee Clark Dave Jones Would make up my shortlist, would be happy with all of them, at least we'd have purposeful, attacking football

Kitchandro Posted 22 October 2011 Posted 22 October 2011 Billy with this squad would pish all over Sven.... Wakey wakey.... TBF, I do remember Forest playing some really good football 2 seasons ago, if only we could play like that. But no, still think he's a whinging bottler.
I am Rod Hull Posted 22 October 2011 Posted 22 October 2011 We need a motivator... Sven aint it... Sven move up stairs and Billy Krankie in... Happy days...
Cropwellfox Posted 22 October 2011 Posted 22 October 2011 If somebody more mathematically minded than me was to come up with a clever points gained per million spent formula, I'd imagine we would be adrift at the bottom of the league. I can think of any number of managers i'd rather have in charge - and there are some good ones available at the moment, who will find clubs easily enough as the merry-go-round really starts to pick up speed.
Bugg Posted 22 October 2011 Posted 22 October 2011 Billy Davies is a bottler on a big budget Dave Jones is a bottler on a big budget How are these any different to what Sven apparently is?

Freeman's Wharfer Posted 22 October 2011 Posted 22 October 2011 Two points: a) The Thais would want someone who can help the club's image in Thailand. No matter how sensible a choice or proven people like Davies or Jones might be, your average South East Asian football fan probably hasn't heard of them. And this includes Top and co. who came into the club openly stating that they had a lot to learn (why Hoos was gradually phased out), so rule candidates such as them out. b) When people talk about Jones and Davies as 'bottlers', what exactly do you mean? As far as I can see it's the eleven players out on the pitch whose nerves would lead to losing games. Unless either of these guys drastically changed something in their teams because they suddenly had a shot at promotion I don't think you can level blame at the managers. I would argue it's more to do with the make-up of a squad's character and not the manager's courage.
