Trav Le Bleu Posted 22 October 2011 Posted 22 October 2011 Who will replace him? And NO, you can't say MoN because this is reality, ok? Come on, just throw some names out of people who are available and will want to come here?
somebum Posted 22 October 2011 Posted 22 October 2011 On what basis do you exclude O'Neill? Has he personally said he will not come?
BlueSi13 Posted 22 October 2011 Posted 22 October 2011 Who will replace him? And NO, you can't say MoN because this is reality, ok? Come on, just throw some names out of people who are available and will want to come here? It's not the right time for Sven to go but if i could take a look at anyone it would be Lee Clark, doing very well with Huddersfield 2nd in League 1, 38 games unbeaten up to now and plays some cracking football
Brown Fox Posted 22 October 2011 Posted 22 October 2011 Dave Jones. Well if you think Sven has bottled it or gets our hopes up with a win then you won't want this guy. He'll get us up there no doubt but when it matters as seen with Cardiff for the last how man years, he'll bottle it worse than ever.
Guest shearfox Posted 22 October 2011 Posted 22 October 2011 Has Sven been given everything he needs to build a team? YES, I'm sorry but we can't continue like we are, today proved how far we are from the prem. Millwall are poor and looked it today yet we are beaten 3 nil at home. Any body deserves stick for that.
BlueSi13 Posted 22 October 2011 Posted 22 October 2011 On what basis do you exclude O'Neill? Has he personally said he will not come? But why would be come here? He already took us to our peak in the 90's, why would he risk his outstanding reputation with a mid-table Championship side? The Manchester United job could easily be his when it becomes available.
cc_star Posted 22 October 2011 Posted 22 October 2011 Sven should see his contract out, the thought of paying him proportion of £1.5m to go & look for another job is abhorrent. Failing that Billy Davies is the man for this division & that's as far as we should look. But for me Sven needs to stay.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 22 October 2011 Posted 22 October 2011 Billy Davies. I think he would soon sort us out. Least we would always be hard to beat and motivated. Dave Jones could do no worse than Sven either.
accessory Posted 22 October 2011 Posted 22 October 2011 If MON won't come, then any of the following: Roy Keane Billy Davies Dave Jones Iain Dowie Nigel Worthington Aidy Boothroyd Phil Brown All have had success in this league, which is more than the ageing Swedish mercenary will EVER do. The happy-clappies need to wake up and smell the coffee.

Bryn Posted 22 October 2011 Posted 22 October 2011 Sven needs to be the man to figure it out, noone else

Not if he spends to much longer out of the game IMO. He's shown he can do it, he needs to show he can still do and can continue to do it. He can't sit there and wait for that job to come up. Man Utd could easily take any manager from any English club if they wanted, because most would happily walk away from their club to take that job. They'll probably go for Moyes and he won't show Everton any loyalty when the offer comes. Not saying he should or would come here, but he needs to take a job somewhere soon to still be in consideration for the big job.

Fox1651 Posted 22 October 2011 Posted 22 October 2011 Bottom line is we shouldnt lose 3-0 at home to ANYONE!!!!! Sven OUT!!!!
accessory Posted 22 October 2011 Posted 22 October 2011 Nigel Worthington, Roy Keane or Iain Dowie......are you on drugs! All I remember from those guys is dismal failures! They've managed promotion-winning sides (Keane and Worthington have even won titles) with far less resources than the mercenary has had with us. Or don't you think 13th in the league (and likely to fall even further) is a dismal failure?

At least half of those managers would leave me with the worst sense of disappointment since the day I found Miss Blows was a teacher's name and not a promise. Roy Keane - Spends money like water with little result. Attitude problem the size of Brazil too. Billy Davies - As above in some ways but with better results. Davies' teams are always tough to beat. Dave Jones - Comes across as a thoroughly decent bloke and his teams play decent football. Would approve. Iain Dowie - Had some shockers since Palace. On a downward trajectory. Nigel Worthington - Has fallen spectacularly at Norn Iron. Aidy Boothroyd - Did you ever see Coventry under him? I'd rather gouge out my eyeballs with rusty tent pegs than spend 90 minutes watching a Leicester team playing his 'style' of football. Phil Brown - Spectacular ability to lose a dressing room and only one good season at Hull.
