Fjällräven Posted 22 October 2011 Posted 22 October 2011 Gotta give a shout for my fellow countryman Ole Gunnar Solskjær. Will almost certainly win the Norwegian league in his first year as a first team manager, with Molde. Which I hate. He has done wonders for them. A role model professional, just as in his playing days. Currently linked with the vacant job at Pompey...

He knows the English game well too with his experience as Manchester United's reserve coach, so we could pick up some of their young 'uns on loan.
LukeyZade Posted 22 October 2011 Posted 22 October 2011 billy davies. no 1 else springs to mind other than o neill, problem is no 1s ever happy on here, i just cant beleive how many people out there finding current form is not the end of the world
Stadt Posted 22 October 2011 Posted 22 October 2011 Lee Clarke is a young promising manager but inexperienced(Championship +) - I think Coppell is out of a job and stills holds the record of most points in a championship season with Reading but recently failed at Brizzle City.
Stadt Posted 22 October 2011 Posted 22 October 2011 Nigel ADKINS? Mark Hughes Why would Adkins leave a better side in good form for us? And he won't come to us.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 22 October 2011 Posted 22 October 2011 We are not an unnatractive option these days - im sure we could attract a decent new manager. Having said that i think we should give Sven until Christmas to turn things around
Corky Posted 22 October 2011 Posted 22 October 2011 No idea, but the performance today was as bad as anything seen under Levein, Kelly, Holloway etc.
Kitchandro Posted 22 October 2011 Posted 22 October 2011 I don't want Sven to be sacked. I can't bare another year of 'he needs more time' or 'they haven't gelled yet' or 'he had to clear up Sven's mess'. But it's hard to argue a reason he should stay regarding his qualities as a manager. He does not motivate the players and that is the biggest thing, that is what got Sousa sacked and rightly so. His tactics are very questionnable also. He is getting very little out of a pretty talented squad. I think 'it can't get any worse' but at the same time I'm thinking the only way is down. I've got no faith in Sven anymore, he's had chance after chance to prove me wrong but hasn't done it, and I think the more peope begin to lose faith the more depressing it will be going to Filbert Way. If he goes though, I can't think of any appointment that wouln't deflate me. The fact that we are thinking of possible replacements for Sven is a terrible situation. I did just not feel the same excitement leading up to this game as I do usually, mainly because I knew Leicester wouldn't entertain me. This our best chance in forever to play some attractive football, but it seems we are destined to play dull, uninspiring and one-dimensional stuff for all time. Regardless of the result today, this is the most disappointing thing. I don't want rid of Sven yet but it is clear to all of those who will face the truth that he was a poor appointment, and that if he keeps his job til the end of the season it is only a stay of execution.

Bob Weasel Fox Posted 22 October 2011 Posted 22 October 2011 too long mate, southampton and west ham will be 15-20 points ahead by then you could be right, i just dont know whats best, difficult times because clearly something isnt right at the club
Fox92 Posted 22 October 2011 Posted 22 October 2011 Dave Jones or Billy Davies. Both get their teams organised and motivated.
HoustonFox Posted 22 October 2011 Posted 22 October 2011 It's not the right time for Sven to go but if i could take a look at anyone it would be Lee Clark, doing very well with Huddersfield 2nd in League 1, 38 games unbeaten up to now and plays some cracking football I like this but don't think that Top and his team would do this. Also knows Pelts and plays with WINGERS!!!! (although that means he'll never win any games according to some people - Youngy).
Kitchandro Posted 22 October 2011 Posted 22 October 2011 too long mate, southampton and west ham will be 15-20 points ahead by then The new manager will most likely have a slow start (which will be blamed on the fans as usual) and we will continue to fall behind the top sides. Sights will be set towards next season, when the exact same thing will happen again, and we will be back to square one, (which is the area of the pitch where Sven wants us to be for the whole of all of our games as long as we aren't losing already).

Why slow start? Cotterill hasn't. If anything kick in backside and resets who is in First XI.
Kitchandro Posted 22 October 2011 Posted 22 October 2011 Why slow start? Cotterill hasn't. If anything kick in backside and resets who is in First XI. It always happens with us. I''m not saying it would definitely would again but it's still a risk even with the rubbish we are seeing now.
Number 6 Posted 22 October 2011 Posted 22 October 2011 I don't want to get rid of Sven, think he needs the full season, but as we're throwing names around I'd say nab Di Matteo from Chelsea.

Danny the Fox 95 Posted 22 October 2011 Posted 22 October 2011 Billy Davies or Karl Robinson for me. But knowing Top he would go for a big name who has no experience in the Championship and do a Sven
