Ilkeston_Fox Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 Agree Col. Fools & Horses, Men Behaving Badly, one foot in the grave, Porridge, open all hours, fawlty towers, dads army Allo Allo are all top stuff. Not much in recent times has come close for me.
21st Century Fox Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 I transcend race hombre. New season soon!!

Sorry mate..forgot about Men Behaving Badly!! classic... Anything with Ronnie Barker in... the man was a comic genius
Saxondale Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 On telly at the moment = Idiot Abroad 2. Class.
Finchy Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 It's STILL "Curb Your Enthusiasm" for me Easily the best comedy show on tv and has been for years in my opinion. This latest season is superb, especially last nights with Ricky Gervais.

This latest season is superb, especially last nights with Ricky Gervais. I was trying really hard to stifle my laughter so as not to wake my son up (he's nearly two) but had to laugh out loud several times. The bread attack was sensational, as was the look on Gervais' face.
Darkon84 Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 I transcend race hombre. New season soon!!

Rincewind Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 I like all the satire ones. Even Mock the week. Have I got News For You. 8 out of 10 cats (although Jimmy Carrs laugh is irritating at times) QI is brilliant. Basically anything that takes the piss out of polictitians and the so called celebrities that parade themselves in the news.
21st Century Fox Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 If you like Eastbound & Down and Arrested Development, you have to check out Party Down, another amazing show that was cut short after 2 seasons.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 Have I Got News For You. Mock the Week used to be up there, but has gone downhill a lot. Sadly true. Would I lie to you But this show has picked up the slack. Also really, really liking Wilfred.
General Smuts Posted 25 October 2011 Posted 25 October 2011 If you like Eastbound & Down and Arrested Development, you have to check out Party Down, another amazing show that was cut short after 2 seasons. I literally started watching this the other day. Loved the first episode so will be getting involved with that I reckon. Community is the nuts at the minute though. Donald Glover is a don. Same team as Arrested Development and has Chevy frigging Chase in the cast. Totes amazeballs. Parks and Recreation is next up on my list once i'm finished the current series of 30 Rock and get up to date with The Office (US). Chuck starts again Friday which I LOVE.
Rincewind Posted 25 October 2011 Posted 25 October 2011 Saw that listed but when I clicked to play Virgin Media was unable to broadcast it. Message contact XXXXXx number for help. Watched Episode 11 and 12 of Fringe series 3. No more listed so looking for something else to watch. Maybe coming home after my IT course instead of going to a pub to save money so will have more time to watch crap on the TV and post crap on here. You lucky people.

Chevy is legendary in Community. Parks & Recreation is also amazing, Amy Poehler is possibly one of the best female comic actors about. Ron Swason is probably one of the best comedy boss' ever created too.
accessory Posted 25 October 2011 Posted 25 October 2011 I hate Mock The Week and instantly judge anyone that claims to love either it or Frankie Boyle. I have similar issues with anything featuring Jimmy Carr. The Simpsons and Family Guy are my favourites right now.
Rincewind Posted 25 October 2011 Posted 25 October 2011 Just started to watch Part Down from the start. Hope its OK or I wont be happy. Just saw Screwed advertised in a trailer. Read the book so may watch it. Its a pay thing tho I think on Filmflex.
Rincewind Posted 25 October 2011 Posted 25 October 2011 Couldnt really get on with Party Down watched 3 episodes. Started to watch 30Rock. Think that is better. The wacky type of humour I like. Alex Baldwin character Jack is good. The aside little bits are done well. Just watched the one where Jack set up the main star on a date with a lesbian. Reminds me of the Airplane type films a little. Only problem the episodes are only available for another 6 days..
Guest MattP Posted 26 October 2011 Posted 26 October 2011 Easily the best comedy show on tv and has been for years in my opinion. This latest season is superb, especially last nights with Ricky Gervais. Curb has been my favourite show for a good few years now. I met Larry David in Santa Monica in 09 and he had me in absolute stitches.
New England Fox Posted 26 October 2011 Posted 26 October 2011 Dunno how popular it was over there but over here BBC America just showed Friday Night Dinner, thought that was pretty good.
GLC Posted 26 October 2011 Posted 26 October 2011 QI, Not going out, Big Bang theory Peep show 8 out of 10 cats Plenty of others
Tielemans63 Posted 26 October 2011 Posted 26 October 2011 Are we only talking current shows? Of not, how can you have missed the absolute genius of Alan Partridge? Still one of the absolute best comedy characters ever created - genius! Also been watching a bit of Garth Marenghi's Darkplace on DVD recently. Priceless stuff!
LukeyZade Posted 26 October 2011 Posted 26 October 2011 family guy, just genius stupid cartoon comedy. giggity giggity goo

Still one of the absolute best comedy characters ever created - genius! Also been watching a bit of Garth Marenghi's Darkplace on DVD recently. Priceless stuff! Yes, hence the heading of the post. Otherwise, OBVIOUSLY Partridge would be up there. Curb has been my favourite show for a good few years now. I met Larry David in Santa Monica in 09 and he had me in absolute stitches. Now THAT'S made me jealous.
Narborough_fox Posted 26 October 2011 Posted 26 October 2011 Him and Her is absolutely hilarious if the 2nd series is half as good as the 1st I'll be over the moon. Ask Rhod Gilbert is funny as well. Used to love Russell Howard's good news so hoping this series is good.
