It will be MON, but on his terms. Initially until the end of the season and then rolling yearly contract as is his way. Something big comes up he's off. Simples!!!!!

Cheers for the info, interesting with regards to Ole, at least we know the owners are working their asses of to get either MON or OGS

The club are trying to get Martin O’Neill or Ole Gunnar Solksjaer to manage city.

MON is the favourite, and MON has agreed to come back, but as he wants to be available for other opportunities ( I guess England & Man U) so he will only agree if he has a option to leave at any time. The club are concerned about this and would like a contract that quantifies the reasons that may cause MON to leave. MON is not willing to specify the details. So, they are at a dead lock but still negotiating.

Option 2) The club are therefore trying to get OGS to join, but he is happy where he is and he is not convinced that city will be promoted this season he does not want to leave a club where he is successful to one that may lead to a sacking.

The club can not guarantee this will not happen so they are also at dead lock.

The club are putting together a very good offer and working on the contracts with agents to try and get around the issues and tempt one of the two to join city.

The club is also talking to other potential managers but as all discussions are confidential no statments will be made untill contracts have been finalised and then the club will make an announcement. prefably this will be at the Leeds match, untill then ignore all rumours.

How do you no this?

10 days after Sven got the heave ho (and who knows how long since they actually decided to give him the HH) and still no idea who the new manager might be? I'm calling it. FARCE.

How do you know they don't have a clue?

I am fed up of your negativity the owners are working their bollocks of to get MON show them a little gratitude.

I know some folks are against it, but I would be 100% happy if we got Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in as the next manager.

He knows English football from his time at MUFC, he was obviously a very studious and intellectual player and has shown that there is definite management potential in his first year at Molde.

I am hoping that our lack of first week rush in appointing a new manager was in part due to letting Molde tie up their league title and then be able to approach for OGS and let him decide on his future.

Ole also has a lot of contacts in the english game and it would be interesting to see who he could / would bring in on both the playing side and staff side.

100% personal speculation, but I have a feeling this may be the reason for the delay.

Complete off the wall thought if this does happen, odds on McClaren being assistant manager? Time together at MUFC, McClaren perhaps would welcome the english involvement without the abuse / direct intensity of the role....

Just posted my full thoughts, but my hunch is they were waiting on Molde to tie up their title and then approach Solskjaer....

I'm calling it THOROUGH.

We've got some very good people in temporary charge so there is no point in rushing and suffering in the long term.
