10 days after Sven got the heave ho (and who knows how long since they actually decided to give him the HH) and still no idea who the new manager might be? I'm calling it. FARCE.

Why? The players have taken it in their stride, Rudkin and Stowell are holding the fort. Hopefully the owners are taking advantage of that to make a very considered decision. Apart from satisfying the media and public's need for instant information, I don't see the problem.

And you know this for a fact how?? :dunno:

Not as a fact but come on do you really think would be spending this amount if we were not trying to appoint someone of his caliber?

This highlights the problem. Silence leads to wild speculation. And if MON doesn't come there's going to p*ssed off punters aplenty.

I think you need to read the bangkok post and my message again and you will see they are not the same

its where you was getting you assumption from...

or you trying to say you know whats going off....

But he's not the one slagging them off about things you have no idea about.

No, conversely, he's defending them based on things he has no idea about. What's the difference? We're even resorting to stuff in the bleeding Bangkok Post now

BIEREDeLux, I have to disagree with you. I think there is an extremely high likelihood that the club are doing everything right.

They had decided that Sven was the wrong man. Part of that decision, I believe, was made because they assumed someone like Sven would be able to bring immediate success, no problem. Now they believe we need someone with football league experience to give the club it's best chance of promotion.

Sven was sacked without there being a successor lined up, which is totally within the style of the club, it's owners and officials. As a club we do things in the right and proper way, which pleases me.

I believe we are considering a large number of alternatives, and trying to make absolutely sure we make the right decision.

I have no doubt interviews have occurred with a number of alternatives. I believe we have made a choice which is not Lee Clark.

( He has issued a statement saying he is not interested in the LCFC job, not that he has turned it down ).

The reason Sven was dismissed so early is so that the new manager has a few weeks to assess his squad and then have time to make the transfer judgements he feels he needs to, ready for transfer business in January.

I believe we are being very professional, and I take heart from that.

The club are trying to get Martin O’Neill or Ole Gunnar Solksjaer to manage city.

MON is the favourite, and MON has agreed to come back, but as he wants to be available for other opportunities ( I guess England & Man U) so he will only agree if he has a option to leave at any time. The club are concerned about this and would like a contract that quantifies the reasons that may cause MON to leave. MON is not willing to specify the details. So, they are at a dead lock but still negotiating.

Option 2) The club are therefore trying to get OGS to join, but he is happy where he is and he is not convinced that city will be promoted this season he does not want to leave a club where he is successful to one that may lead to a sacking.

The club can not guarantee this will not happen so they are also at dead lock.

The club are putting together a very good offer and working on the contracts with agents to try and get around the issues and tempt one of the two to join city.

The club is also talking to other potential managers but as all discussions are confidential no statments will be made untill contracts have been finalised and then the club will make an announcement. prefably this will be at the Leeds match, untill then ignore all rumours.

I can only hope and prey that this is true, I would be over the moon with either

Mark Hughes has been in talks and we believe is still the main candidate for the job #Lcfc

The club need to come out and say/leak that its not MON now, otherwise any other manager that is appointed in the next few days will lead to a wave of fan apathy and disappointment - it will be worse the longer the MON speculation / hope / dreaming / delusion goes on.

They won't stand a chance with the fans.

What an absolute load of bollocks! If the fans have got them selves worked up thinking that it is MON and it isn't it's the fans fault.LCFC have been nothing but proffesional during the last week.

If its MON then great!!!! If it's Sparky then not so great but still very good. Any MON hangover will clear. But watch his odds keep shortening.

Like I've said elsewhere he is interested, but it's for Top and Co to make happen.

Right, I'm off to watch a film...and when I get back I expect someone to have sorted out a new manager!

I'd watch, lord of the rings trilogy, 6 times over, then maybe you'll no more
