Give it to Jonny Rudders with Micky Stowell as his assistant.

Been thinking about this but why not.. Hasn't really been a bad combo, unlucky to come away with something from West Ham despite a bad start and what sounds to be a convincing display tonight!

I say give them a chance at Leeds.

I was joking actually mate but they have done well so far.

Weird hypothesis I have but I am inclined to believe that none of the frontrunners are in for the job, but somebody that is not in the bookmakers eyes at the moment is a certain MON who I still believe may be the first choice the owners still want and will wait for him until he makes his mind up.

Haha - even if we could somehow guarantee promotion there's some on here wouldn't take it.

They just couldn't bring themselves to believe in attacking football, they'd still want a "name" and they'll probably die believing in the mythological "winning at home and drawing (or being cautious) away".

haha every fan wants attacking football but most realise that just playing attacking football is not as simple as you make it sound and can compromise other areas drastically!

Football is about getting the right balance!!

I would absolutely LOVE you to take over though!! It's a WIN WIN, if you do all you claim then great we are in the Prem but if you fail miserably, then I never have to hear your naive, one dimensional philosphy again!!

Anyone can sit back and say I want ATTACKING football. Putting that in to action and sustaining that is a lot harder than you think. Hence why majority of Football managers struggle

The Situation with O'Neill- (What I think is going on)

The story of him rejecting the job last Wednesday was rubbish, O'Neill hardly speaks to the press about anything,

-Thursday 27th October- Owners wish to speak to O'Neill, his agent says we'll meet in London on Saturday

-Saturday 29th October- Owners meet up with O'Neill, O'Neill going into the meeting not sure about taking the job, but willing to listen to what they've got to offer. Owners make O'Neill a good offer, but O'Neill asks for time to think about it. The owners leave the meeting & decide to interview everyone else, O'Neill number one choice for them, but play it safe by having a back up plan.

-Wednesday 2nd November- O'Neill will tell the board if he wants the job or not

Spot on this is what I am thinking as well.

Also perhaps a back up plan for would be once they know if O'Neill's coming or not, they then make official approach to Huddersfield Town for the services of Lee Clark. (If O'Neill doesn't come)

I just want someone who can put a solid structure in at the club. Obviously the owners will demand promotion but sustainability won't come unless we do the small things correctly. A top notch scouting network supporting the academy and first team is a must. From what I've heard about Clark he is extremely modern in the way he coaches & prepares the team. Every angle is looked at to gain an advantage. If its not him then someone with a that sort of dedication would be first choice for me. I know a lot of people want a guy to go and slap these players in to shape, that simply doesn't work these days.

Managers now almost have to be psychologists with these selfish overpaid brats. My first choices would be MON or Hughes but after that Clark is definetely the type of manager I would like us to look at.

Tanner knows nothing.

He has been sucking up to everyone for years with little success apart from Mandaric who used him as a mouthpiece to justify his crazy decisions when removed from his anus.
