accessory Posted 2 November 2011 Posted 2 November 2011 I will freely admit that I rarely saw Walsh play and his behaviour off the field was known to be pretty crap from time to time, but I still maintain that Keane is on a different level. I have met a fair few players (and ex players) over the years due to my involvement in various anti-racist movements from the Anti-Nazi League to the more recent Kick It Out campaign and no, I have never met Mr Keane. Most of the players are on their best behaviour and pretty anodyne to be honest but I did manage to introduce Steve MacClaran to a few (musical) people at one event which resulted in a nice chat over a sparkly water. As i said in another thread I thought he was a really decent bloke. Keane did his knee in a 'nothing' tackle and Haaland, thinking he was faking it gave him some abuse, not nice but happens in virtually every game. Keane's cold blooded visciousness some two years after the event says it all for me. Haaland wasn't exactly renowned within the game as a nice guy either. Indeed it was alleged that in his Forest days, he racially abused his own team mates and incurred the wrath of a certain Stan Collymore. It's also sickening that some of the same people who have so fiercely denounced Keane on here were previously the ones bemoaning the departure of Wayne Brown and in some cases even calling for him to return.

Its always been the case that you wait your chance and then pay the ****er back! I've played at a decent level and thats the way it is. Haaland was a c*nt, Keane was a c*nt. Shit happens!

Anyone who was at Wolves when Walshie took Steve Bull out with a blatant nowhere near the ball header will believe absolutely that they go in with intent - Brian Little stripped him of the captaincy over that - ahh the glory days

Waiting to see the Walsh elbow on Central Goals Special seemed a weekly occurance!

FrankieWorthoYaggedMyWife Posted 2 November 2011 Posted 2 November 2011 Yup, it was that incident that stuck in my head when I was asking people what they thought of Walshie after they slammed Keane for no different. If he came in and took us up he would be hailed the messiah with people praising his no nonsense approach! Its like the geordies all over, they soon f8cked there boxes of special K off when Pardew got them winning! "Ha'way, am never ganning down the toon agen while them cockey bastard are in charge" Hmmm, the fecking northern gimps are full of it now though, even if Pardew is hanging out the back of half the players girlfriends!

I actually consider myself a pretty naive person in some respects, I sometimes find it difficult to understand the way some people behave. I can relate easily enough to players doing things in the heat of the moment, we've all done that, whether on the football field or off, it but the shear cold blooded brutality of Keane in this instance is way beyond anything I can understand. Not sure what Wayne Brown has to do with this, a mediocre footballer dumped for his racist views, good riddance.
John Matrix Posted 2 November 2011 Posted 2 November 2011 Hmmm, the fecking northern gimps are full of it now though, even if Pardew is hanging out the back of half the players girlfriends! go on...
EnderbyFox Posted 2 November 2011 Posted 2 November 2011 Yeah and how did Keane get injured - as a result of fouling Haaland! Apparently Haaland said "stop faking it". So you think it's fair and sane that Keane hears that, waits 4 fucking years and then puts in a tackle that he himself later admits was intended to cripple? Sure there are worse and the comparisons to child rapists and Mugabe are incredibly rertarded (I assumed they were jokes at first, apparently not) but this is not a man I want anywhere near the football club. I'd live with it sure, there are lots more important things in life than who manages LCFC, but I wouldn't like it at all. He's a twat. This
The Year Of The Fox Posted 2 November 2011 Posted 2 November 2011 ROY KEANE- THE ONLY MANAGER IN 8 SEASONS TO GET A TEAM PROMOTED AFTER COMING IN HALFWAY THROUGH A SEASON
accessory Posted 2 November 2011 Posted 2 November 2011 ROY KEANE- THE ONLY MANAGER IN 8 SEASONS TO GET A TEAM PROMOTED AFTER COMING IN HALFWAY THROUGH A SEASON Ermm,, it was actually four games into the season - hardly halfway..
accessory Posted 2 November 2011 Posted 2 November 2011 go on... A source I know at West Ham says that's why they got rid of him. His Terryesque antics also apparently had a hand in his sudden departure from Southampton.
flowwolf Posted 2 November 2011 Posted 2 November 2011 Wtf going on here, has he been appointed as our new manager then???? I hope to God not and I don't even believe in God.There is not buts about this he is a vile human being interested in only in his self. He would go down in the history of this club as the most hated manager even before his first match. I will vote with my feet if this happens. One because he has been appointed and two because our owners clearly don't care what the supporters think or know what they are doing. He is a thug end of and would quickly loose the players and the fans in record time , just ask any one at Ipswich what they thought of him. Do we really need him as opposed to Clarke of Davies ? For you FEW on her who say give him a chance I would say be careful what you wish for because under that disgusting snarling image is an even more awful man than you can imagine.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 2 November 2011 Posted 2 November 2011 Ermm,, it was actually four games into the season - hardly halfway.. Alright then, the only manager to come on during the season and get promoted. Your pedanticness doesn't disguise my point.
irDeano Posted 2 November 2011 Posted 2 November 2011 I’ll come down there with a water cannon full of shit and blow you fvckers down. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q4_k3cxxYLw Not shit granted (depends what beer I guess...), but the same idea.

I asked you about this a couple of months ago and you didn't reply..... What story did you hear on Wayne Brown and what he said as you seem pretty convinced he's an outright racist and that contradicts the story I've heard from a player in the changing room at the time?
Corky Posted 2 November 2011 Posted 2 November 2011 Alright then, the only manager to come on during the season and get promoted. Your pedanticness doesn't disguise my point. It's not pedantic, he was stating a fact.
Guest MattP Posted 2 November 2011 Posted 2 November 2011 It's not pedantic, he was stating a fact. "pedantic" to point out August 28th isn't the "middle of the season".
