Leicfox Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 Just got back and need to say a few things. Many people around me commented on the amount of work that Andy King does off the ball that not everyone sees. Now i'm not sure if the people making these comments have some sort of Jedi connection with Andy King but I really dont want him to be doing work off the ball. I want him on the ****ing ball and doing something with it. I've seen many games where he has offered very little but today really was poor. Wellens and Danns did nothing for the midfiled apart from slow attacks down and go backwards with the exception of injury time where Wellens thought it would be a good idea to flick it up and try an overhead kick when laying it off would have been the better option (he's supposed to be an experienced pro for ****s sake, what the **** was he thinking??) Another thing I find baffling, if Steve Howard is the plan b that everyone has craved so much, why the **** did he start today? I'm bored of watching him asking for free kicks that are never going to come. His flick ons were rubbish, his passing was awful and he offered none of what everyone says that he brings to the party. He should have come off at half time for Beckford who was quite clearly up for it today. Moving on to the officials. Officiating has decended into farce. At one point, an offside was claimed but when the defenders looked over to the linesman to claim, they were about 40 yards behind the play. Absolutely embarrasing. The amount of niggling fouls that the Leeds players got away with today was nothing short of disgraceful. They are a dirty team and they were not punished today. Finally the fans. Our stadium and atmosphere is bloody awful. What the **** is going on?? From start to finish the atmosphere was negative, subdued and embarrasing. The Leeds fans taunted us and outsung us, and all we had was that fat bastard banging his ****ing drum. We have no chants individual to our players, we have no originality to any of our songs (on the odd occasion one is sung) and all we seem to be good at is sitting on our ****ing arses and moaning about anything and everything. I'm moving to Cornwall in 3 weeks for a job and the Palace game will be the last game i'll get to go to in a very long time. I very much hope the appointment of a new manager perhaps injects some gusto into the crowd and also the team on the pitch. It's upsetting and depressing that something I have loved since the age of 5 has turned into what it has. Often callers on the phone in talk about a lack of passion on the pitch. It's sad to say that this is the case of the fans but unfortunately, 90% of that stadium have zero of what we crave from our players. I love Leicester City Football Club and I always will, but the way things are at the minute, I certainly wont miss it as much as I should. Well at least he's trying and you call him "That Fat Bastard banging his ****ing drum" Nice one.
FateLUFC Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 Leeds supporter here, well obviously. Read the thread before commenting and quite frankly I'm shocked at the kneejerk reactions and fakeness from some people, not naming names as I don't wish to argue but I think some people here were expecting a Leicester win, or have expectations equal to those of your owners aka promotion, to be champions of this league etc. I like the Leicester vs Leeds games, they are always a good experience to watch, even when we lose, you're our bogey team, it means something to a lot of Leeds supporters. Anyway just because you lost doesn't make you shit, you're not. It takes time for a bunch of newish players to gel together you can't keep expecting Leicester to win week after week and then bashing the players when you lose, life doesn't work that way. I personally thought, although we marginally outplayed you, the game was such that the result could of gone either way aka Leeds win, Leicester win, just we got the goal and that simply was that. I think some of you need to drop back into reality, you won't get automatic promotion this season, nor will we, however you stand as much as a chance as we do in the playoffs and i wouldn't mind seeing a Leeds vs Leicester playoff game. But yeah, both are teams are in the shit at the moment, we've had 3 horrifically bad results(mostly down to the goalkeeper) bad results happen. However losing 0 - 1 isn't a bad result, you wern't hammered today you put up a fight, I can honestly say that Leicester stood just the same chance of winning today as Leeds. That's all I have to say, no doubt I'll offend some but I'm just being honest and haven't been negative to anyone =/
Guest Basildon Fox Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 Well at least he's trying and you call him "That Fat Bastard banging his ****ing drum" Nice one. Yes the pride of Leicester isn't he. Where would we be without his constant tuneless banging on the drum.
bettso Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 Well at least he's trying and you call him "That Fat Bastard banging his ****ing drum" Nice one. You're completely correct he is trying. It's just embarrasing that it takes that. If you're a relative or a friend of Jobber I take bat the Fat Bastard comment. Everything else though I stand by.
Leicesterpool Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 I liked the parade at half time today, the only downer was playing the bagpipes. Playing Scotland the brave really p+ssed me off, as the war was about Britain, you don't see an English band going up to Scotland singing England the brave.

One performance like this doesn't set alarm bells ringing, a number of them do. You saying we won't get automatic promotion sums up why we're all calling us shit, we have spent loads and for us to be possibly out of the running for that already, well it's a shambles.

Leicesterpool Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 Our performance today was far from good & far from worse, unlike Burnley & West Ham today we looked like a team without a manager.
z-layrex Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 I'm saying that I'm sure they have a lot of non-local fans. I'm not saying they can't support them, jus that they are a different kettle of fish to us with the amount of fans they have not from Leeds. People compare their support to ours as if they are a similarly sized club, whereas in reality they have a fanbase big enough for the top 4 in the Premier League, and ours only big enough for the top 10. I was about to argue against your point saying i'm southern and support Leicester, but I see what you meant. My answer to this would be, there are a lot of people here in the south who got into Leeds as it's their Dad's team, as they were the glory hunters of choice back in the day.
sphericalfox Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 When the highlight of one's afternoon is that the lad streaming the game forgot at 1/2 time that he was streaming and started broadcasting the porn he was watching, you know it's a dull afternoon. At least it probably had a happy ending

lcfcliam Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 I thought we were robbed in many ways today tbh. The referee was very incosistant with decisions especially on Stevie Howard. Their goal also came from a throw in which should of been ours but that's not the point. Poor performance in the end, why don't we ever shoot?
When_your-smiling2011 Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 just been a poor performance after we win a game and hope to get back to back wins we lose hopefully our new manager will be able to sort this out
NewarkeWhite Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 I'll confess right away, I'm a Leeds fan Today was my first visit to the KP stadium, just started uni at DMU so had been looking out for this fixture obviously. I was sat in the end to the right of the away support and the only Leicester chanting I heard was a couple of songs about our 5-0 defeat on wednesday. But my point is dont worry about it, it's the exact same at elland road (well not quite as quiet), there is very little atmosphere there anymore for the average league game, we didn't even sell out for our league cup tie v man u which says it all really. As for the game itself it was effectively two teams who had very little desire to take risks. Sol Bamba (what a game he had) had keogh and mccormack under his little finger from the start. Both midfields were happy to keep going backwards. One very good finish settled it in the end, clayton gave kasper no chance (enjoyed watching kasper have his usual tantrum whenever something didn't go his way) but I'd say it oculd have gone either way. Regarding beckford, I'd say give him time to get to know his teammates, took him a long time to get going in a leeds shirt but we all know what he eventually became, he will get you goals that is a guarantee. Today however he seemed more bothered about taking in the reception from leeds fans than inspiring his new supporters, but that will change

NewarkeWhite Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 Thanks... You're more than welcome. Forgive me for thinking you may be interested in another perspective on your team
wurmer Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 You're more than welcome. Forgive me for thinking you may be interested in another perspective on your team I was interested, it was a genuine thanks! I know I'm a sarcastic sod most of the time, but I meant it!
ajthefox Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 Cracking finish for their goal, but should never have had that free ball from such a bad clearance.
Danny the Fox 95 Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 Clayton for Leeds is a quality player can see him playing in the Prem very very soon. Atmosphere was poor from our fans I thought today.Do Leeds count us as our rivals?

I often read other team's forums around the time we played them, that's just something I do. The only reason I commented in here was Jermaine Beckford was a player well loved at leeds as you saw today so felt the need to comment having seen all the negativity to him. I am not gloating, I was pointing out similarities in both our team's home supports and mentioning a player who means a lot to LUFC.
dannythefox Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 why is there support so good That's what we sound like when were away!
