Aiden White and Johhny Howson are possible to sign

Why would both leave their boyhood club, who are currently doing better than us, where they're starting week in week out to come and fight for a place at Leicester?

Not going to happen!

Maybe this is the reason why

Aidan White has turned down Leeds United’s initial offer of a new contract.

The 20-year-old prospect is understood to have rejected a proposal put to him by the Elland Road club last month.

Leeds made their approach to White with his current contract into its final year, and the club are keen to reach a deal with a player whose reputation has grown rapidly this season.

White has come to the fore in United’s first team after two bit-part terms at Elland Road, and he earned his first under-21 cap with the Republic of Ireland in September.

The four-year deal he signed in 2008 is set to expire next summer, however, and United recently moved to begin negotiations over improved terms.

White is under the age of 24, meaning Leeds would be entitled to compensation were he to leave Elland Road for a rival English team next year, but United are reluctant to lose the services of one of their more successful academy products.

White, too, is believed to favour the option of extending his deal with the Championship side but he is awaiting a second approach after refusing Leeds’ first offer.

The youngster made his 19th appearance of the season against Millwall on Saturday, taking up a position on the wing after a sequence of outings at left-back, and he has gradually established himself as a member of Simon Grayson’s starting line-up.

White emerged without warning or fanfare from United’s academy in August 2008 – then Leeds manager Gary McAllister predicted at the time that the teenager had a “great future ahead of him” – but it has taken him until this season to find regular favour under Grayson.

He is one of a number of players whose contracts with Leeds expire at the end of the season, among them club captain Jonathan Howson.

United and Howson have been in talks since September but an agreement is still to be reached.

The midfielder turns 24 next May and will become a free agent if Leeds are unable to tie him down.

I think we have the keeper and defence,to get us out of this league (((But not much more))

I WOULD KEEP THE FOLLOWING DEFENSIVE PLAYERS

Kasper Schmeichel

Lee Peltier

Paul Konchesky

Matt Mills

Sol Bamba

Sean St. Ledger

Aleksandar Tunchev

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Out of the rest of the squad the only ones worth keeping are:

Andy King

Lloyd Dyer

Yuki Abe

Gelson Fernandes

David Nugent

Jeffrey Schlupp

Jermaine Beckford (Give him till the end of the season then decide)

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

The rest are either to inconsistent or just not good enough.

GET RID!!!

These are the realistic, in form, needed, cost effective players I'd look to bring in if I was Nigel Pearson:

CB: Christian Strohdiek, Paderborn 450k

LB: Juan Fuentes, Cordoba 350k

DCM: Sung-Yong Ki, Celtic 3.5m

RM: James Forrest, Celtic 1.5m

ACM: Vitor Gomes Pereira Junior, LA Galaxy/Sao Paulo 100k

LM: Danny Cruz, Houston Dynamo 100k

ST: Nick Proschwitz, Paderborn 525k

Total: 6,525,000

What you all think?

These two I rate highly and would realistically think we could get.
