to not too in thread title and so I refuse to answer the question.

Edit: and if this is aimed at the homosexual fans poll, I should point out (since that thread is poll only) that asexual means self-reproduction. What it should be is non-sexual.

"too", ashamed of myself.

Asexual:

Asexuality (sometimes referred to as nonsexuality), in its broadest sense, is the lack of sexual attraction to others.and, in some cases, the lack of interest in sex. Sometimes, it is considered a lack of a sexual orientation. One commonly cited study published in 2004 placed the prevalence of asexuality at 1%.

Yes, it was originally started due to the very poor choices available in that poll, but i also realised that virtually all polls (both here and in the world in general) are restricted and therefore misleading.

2) It was a joke - (but you werent to know that)

3) There are myriad sexual alternatives...and, why the hell do we need to label people anyway

99.99999% of people are heterosexual, homosexual, bisexual or asexual. Why have a poll with 100s more options for the 0.000001% that are sexually attracted to dandelions?

Err, there are a great deal of sub-categories of asexual people - asexuality (in this definition) just means you either don't have sexual attraction to another person or have no interest in sex.

There is still the likes of Aromantic (no romantic attraction at all), Biromantic (romantic attraction to both genders), Heteroromantic (Romantic attraction to opposite gender), Homoromantic (romantic attraction to same sex), Polyromantic (romantic attraction to multiple people at the same time) etc.

The poll doesn't really cover that - there are still the bi, straight and gay asexual people that aren't really satisfactorily classified by it.

Jesus ****ing Christ.

Are people really arguing about this? I'm pretty sure the LGBT community wouldn't give a flying **** about the poll or whether or not it included polysexuality.

Get a bloody life.

perhaps your well researched opinion should also address whether the LGBTIQQ community would give a flying ****, and yes people (ie. you) are arguing about it, you chose to spend a few moments of your life thinking about it.

DSG/DSSG

Diverse Sexuality, Sex and/or Gender. This term is used as an inclusive, label-free way of referring to people who are gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, transsexual, intersex, queer, genderqueer, pansexual or who are otherwise sexually, sex and/or gender diverse.

I don't need a lecture on sexual preference or equality-sensitivity.

My point is that the vast majority of people, ie normal people, regardless of what gets their sexual organs twitching, aren't pedantic enough to start crying over a poll on the internet that asks them what their sexual preference is but forgets to include more abstract concepts.

And if you're offended by one goon on FT that, basically, just wants to know how many of "them gays" there are on here then you're seriously taking the world too ****ing seriously. Go have a beer.
