wattolcfc Posted 3 January 2012 Posted 3 January 2012 While we're on the subject of half-times and moaning (something us city fans seem to be good at), I wanted to see everyones views on the so called half time entertainment? First of all, I can never hear a word the Birch has to say, that may be either the poor sound system or just his mumbling self. He brings people on the pitch, occasionally the odd champion from other sports affiliated with our great county, and instead of us being able to hear the great chatter between them both, all I hear is mumbo jumbo, which is a shame.. I think. Does this class as 'entertainment'? Do kids doing a relay race round the pitch every other week count as 'entertainment'? Not in my eyes. I know it's half time and most people aren't too bothered about it (fair enough), but I think it would be nice to have some real entertainment on show. The Thai's apparently arranged some Thai boxing before the Real Madrid game, which would have a been a welcome change but they couldn't get a permit to fight in the stadium. I have been to many grounds around the country and while some do not offer much, others have some decent things going on. Even the return of cheerleaders would be welcome (as you can see, I am male). Has anybody got any ideas on how we could improve the entertainment? Anything they would like to see? Guys, it's over to you.
StanSP Posted 3 January 2012 Posted 3 January 2012 Actually spoke to my brother a bit about this. Bring back the penalty shoot-outs and/or crossbar challenges!! But I can hear Birch and his guests fine, by the way.

Guest Col city fan Posted 3 January 2012 Posted 3 January 2012 At half time id like to see some Foxy 'More Mature' Ladies... So I can watch them without feeling guilty... lol
Bettsj2 Posted 3 January 2012 Posted 3 January 2012 Cheerleaders. Really fit chearleaders. That is all.
bluearmy7 Posted 3 January 2012 Posted 3 January 2012 i really dont care by the time ive walked the length of the pitch to get to where they let us out for a ciggi and back half times over
deep blue Posted 3 January 2012 Posted 3 January 2012 I prefer to read the programme, chat with my mate or other supporters. I find most of the stuff that we have to listen to (music, Birchy, etc) intrusive. As someone said previously, the only entertainment that I'm bothered about is during the game.
Webbo Posted 3 January 2012 Posted 3 January 2012 Do kids doing a relay race round the pitch every other week count as 'entertainment'? Not in my eyes. I think it's good fun and must be great for the kids too. Would you prefer Jamie Afro?
Gold Coast Fox Posted 3 January 2012 Posted 3 January 2012 Ditch half time, 90 mins non stop football
NextPlease Posted 3 January 2012 Posted 3 January 2012 Aren't you normally in the toilet Webbo? Isn't that just after the cheerleaders finish their routine
Webbo Posted 3 January 2012 Posted 3 January 2012 Aren't you normally in the toilet Webbo? Sometimes I don't get there in time.

Guest Col city fan Posted 3 January 2012 Posted 3 January 2012 : cant see a problem with this if all the guys want to smoke eat pies and read the programmes ! Not me! Rather see some forty something's out there on the pitch strutting their stuff!! Ladies of course...
Asha Posted 3 January 2012 Posted 3 January 2012 So, what's the problem? Get some cute girls out there, get some hunky guys, put them a good distance away from each other and then you can take your pick as to where you look!
