Jackirius Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 **** sake, how about get behind the manager and the players and then we can start to sort it out. Being annoying pricks who want to sack the manager every time he isn't winning every game is not helping. I will support Pearson until the end and will support any player who dons a Leicester shirt.
MC Prussian Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 You enjoyed the football under Sven this season? Certainly more than Nigel "Boring" Pearson's style. Or whatever you want to call this nonsense.
mattsmith74 Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 Ah well. At least we have an easy game next. Southampton away. Doesn't come any easier than that.
Fox96 Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 And I'd rather not float around the middle of the championship with an absolute cvnt in charge for years, then get lucky with one promotion and everyone bill that cvnt as a genius thank you very much. Get lucky? At QPR it was his first full season 'thank you very much'.
Babylon Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 Well he made additions, just neither him or Pearson have used them. My point is that some people are moaning like Sven signed these 4 players and Pearson's stuck with them. He hasn't, it's cleat that Wellens and King in particular just aren't working. Regardless of what Sven did or didn't do, Pearson's still playing them! I'm happy with Pearson, he'll get us up eventually. But he's doing himself absolutely no favours at the minute, especially when we're half way through the transfer window without activity. He's playing them because the options we have are no better!! The fact Sven kept picking Pearsons players shows that! Pearson signed them to play in league one, and to keep us in this league. People expect promotion now though, so until he can change the team accordingly we are stuck the dross he and Sven purchased. Svens are more unforgivable though because his remit and budget was totally different!!!!
Guest nathan. Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 Yep lets sack ANOTHER manager we've been doing that for the past 6 ****ing years it just doesn't work. Pearsons got no choice but to use what that deluded crazy old fool left him
glen parva fox Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 Bet the owners wished they hadn't have got rid of Sven, didn't want Pearson back, backward step, proved right, long ball, shit tactics, clueless, can't see any decent players wanting to come here.
The Doctor Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 Get lucky? At QPR it was his first full season 'thank you very much'. Ok, and as was asked - how many goes did he have at it with Sheffield Utd? And how many times did he fail miserably at promotion with them?
Happy Fox Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 Wellens out and all the mediocre shit on the books out first when will a manager have the balls to get rid of the under performers.
Fox96 Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 Yep lets sack ANOTHER manager we've been doing that for the past 6 ****ing years it just doesn't work. Babylon Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 Fernandes wanted to leave because he wasn't being played. I agree about Beckford. My patience with the guy is starting to run out. No he did not. Go and read the full article that was released PRIOR to Pearson even joining. He said he only joined for Sven and was clear that he no longer wanted to be here after Svens sacking.
drc Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 I haven't heard this myself but if it is true that Pearson said we had a poor squad he must be a total idiot. He had Hull with a decent squad and left them for us and he is a manager with knwledge aobut our squad. He's here for the money then ?
Guest nathan. I bet you were ****ing buming Pearson when we reached the play-offs
Babylon Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 Certainly more than Nigel "Boring" Pearson's style. Or whatever you want to call this nonsense. Cardiff, boro, reading, Bristol, Millwall and others were all as bad.
Fox96 Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 Ok, and as was asked - how many goes did he have at it with Sheffield Utd? And how many times did he fail miserably at promotion with them? Don't get me wrong i'm not defending him as a fan, just stating he is not overrated. Anyway, i would rather 'fail miserably' and get promoted in the end than float around mid table and not get anywhere, the only place we're currently going is League One, that'll be failing miserably.
Guest Bilo Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 Fernandes did not want to be here. Do you not understand this? Abe is a prt time player for Japan (wow) he was was terrible against forest, where as Wellens played well when he came on. Making Abe out to be some kind of saviour is pathetic. We had the same about Danns and he's done very little above average himself. Do you not agree that our midfield is woeful then? Perhaps Fernandes didn't want to be here because once Sven had gone, he was at the back of the queue despite having more talent than any of NP's favourites. Perhaps sacking Sven was the mistake then? I would argue so. Wellens shouldn't be made scapegoat, our problems run far deeper and I find it strange how King doesn't receive half the criticism despite being invisible for the most part, but you must see he's incredibly inconsistent. It seems like one good performance earns his another five or six stints, at least half of which will be desperate. As for Abe, his work rate has always impressed me and he can pick out a decent pass. He's not a saviour but a decent alternative to Wellens who, at present, is being all but ignored. Finally on Beckford, I stand by the argument that he can come good here. The bloke's a proven goal scorer who is desperately, desperately short of confidence. His comments on pressure when he joined have come back to haunt him for sure, but this does not mean he has suddenly become shit. With Schlupp and Vassell out long term, we can't expect Nugent to go it alone any longer. If Sharp comes, what's to say a Beckford-Sharp partnership wouldn't work? Nugent needs a rest because the bloke has worked his socks off this season. If he ends up being burned out by March, I shudder to think where the goals could come from if Beckford continues to be ignored.
glen parva fox Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 Liked Pearson first time round, you don't go back, bad choice, owners didn't have a plan "B" when Sven was given the boot, Don't think any managers the owners wanted wanted to come.
The Doctor Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 Don't get me wrong i'm not defending him as a fan, just stating he is not overrated. Anyway, i would rather 'fail miserably' and get promoted in the end than float around mid table and not get anywhere, the only place we're currently going is League One, that'll be failing miserably. But he is though He's a distinctly average championship journey man who seems to be regarded as a master of this level...
Fox96 Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 But he is though He's a distinctly average championship journey man who seems to be regarded as a master of this level... That's just too far
Head Honcho Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 Never wanted him back in the first place, hes had 2 months and changed nothing. fed up of the boring bastard. Incorrect, we are now without doubt worse!
Revilo Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 if he really is interested in getting players in then lets get on with it. Pearson said that the christmas period was the most important for the promotion battle but we have gone backwards. We should never have played 4-3-3 then switched to 4-4-2 with gallagher upfront until 73 mins. How are we going to win games like this. I am confident beckford will score the goals we just need to change the midfield. I partly agree with the fact he is clueless changing players like moore and kennedy who played well in the last league game. Peltier once again was rubbish and how people say tunchev gets in the starting back four makes me wonder whether they watch the same game. He needs to sort it out quickly otherwise i honestly reckon he will go, his record speaks for itself!!
Ross 'LCFC' Turner Posted 14 January 2012 Author Posted 14 January 2012 For everyone defending Pearsona and still blaming Sven lets look at todays performance. 1. PEARSONS fault we played such a negative formation today and Nugent up front on his own today, in a game we should be winning. 2. PEARSONS fault he still hadnt made a sub after 70minutes, he didnt even think of changin the game. It was the fans chanting that got Beckford on. 3. PEARSONS boring hoof style of football. Todays defeat had nothing to do with Sven so lets drop it now. Pearson when he joined said about how strong the squad is and now all of a sudden it isnt good enough. Hes the man whos been in charge since that interview so hes obviously having a negative impact if it isnt good enough anymore.
Haydos Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 You two are having a laugh. Np is trying to sort out Sven's mess. Who signed Schmeichel, Nugent, Konch and Pelts, arguably our 4 best players this season? What position were we in when Pearson signed?
