Pearson Out!

Here are my remedies for the situation as it stands.

  1. We need a cull in midfield. A brutal, ruthless cull. Wellens is half the player he was two years ago and so, unfortunately, is King. Dyer has improved significantly since Pearson's return but still cannot cross a ball which is a problem. We need more pace on the flanks and grafters in the middle. Letting Fernandes go was a huge mistake because I think he'd have made a huge difference today. We need a box-to-box midfielder and a defensive midfielder who isn't afraid to get stuck in and break up opposition attacks.
  2. We're a mess defensively and Peltier is inconsistent. Konchesky can hold his head up high because he has done well as can Bamba, but short of an early Ivorian exit from the African Cup of Nations, we've to wait a while before he comes back. Mills needs to know he isn't untouchable but with SSL seemingly on his way out and Bamba on international duty, he pretty much is. Time to raid the loan market.
  3. Beckford can score at Premiership level, which is why Everton fans were disappointed to see him leave. He is good enough for us but is lacking confidence because of two things; the fans' high expectations and vocal disappointment because he is failing to meet them, and Pearson's insistence on bringing him up on 15-20 cameos. Even the best strikers cannot live off scraps. Pearson needs to be more bolshy and realise that he's the boss, not us. Yakubu took dogs' abuse here but is now lethal in the Premier League with Blackburn. Beckford could be the same if Pearson had the balls to rest a tired looking Nugent and give Beckford a run. Score one or two and he might surprise us.
  4. This isn't 2009 any more. Ship out the dead wood that aren't performing as they were in our play-off season. Howard, Oakley, Gallagher and Wellens aren't good enough any more, just as Fryatt and Hobbs weren't last year either. Wholesale changes required.

I hate our fans, absolutely hate them, it was so obvious there'd be a thread like this after today. Must be a ratio of 15 bellends to every sane supporter. Even if you don't rate him, to think that sacking him now would be of any benefit leaves me thinking you're a complete and utter clot.

One or few iffy selections - definitely, but it's Sven's shit Pearson has been left with, judge him if we're in this position in twelve months time, after a full pre-season, having assembled a squad he's moulded.

I'm not happy with recent performances by any means, but sacking a manager proven in this division (including with ourselves for crying out loud) after we've just hired him will not solve anything.

Knees are well and truly jerking tonight.

yes we have but 5 of the starting 11 was here when pearson was here last time.

Yes? Who else are we supposed to play? We don't have a squad. But I guess that's Pearson's fault.

Never wanted him back in the first place, hes had 2 months and changed nothing. fed up of the boring bastard.

I agree with that.

All these saying that he has inherited a side that sven messed up. Sven didn't play half the players pearson is putting out. What does he see in Gallagher that nobody else seems to see?

Can't Matty Elliot give mills a good talking to and knock him into shape!!!! He's too comfortable knowing his place is safe

Sven had a year to replace them, he tried but kept playing them though. The players Pearson signed were for league one and to stay in this league... Not to win the league as people seemed to expect us to!!

Well he made additions, just neither him or Pearson have used them. My point is that some people are moaning like Sven signed these 4 players and Pearson's stuck with them. He hasn't, it's cleat that Wellens and King in particular just aren't working. Regardless of what Sven did or didn't do, Pearson's still playing them!

I'm happy with Pearson, he'll get us up eventually. But he's doing himself absolutely no favours at the minute, especially when we're half way through the transfer window without activity.

As long as we don't sack him until Warnock's got another job I honestly couldn't give a **** anymore.

Only Dennis Wise coming here would be more offensive than Warnock taking residence in our dugout.

Would rather have Paolo Di Canio here than fvcking Warnock, overrated tosspiece of a man and manager.

Overrated? He got QPR promoted, how can he be overrated?

I find it extraordinary that we've let Fernandes go and ignore Abe when Wellens is playing so poorly.

Two international defensive midfielders with World Cup experience in 2010 and they're ignored.

Unforgivable in my view.

Because he's portrayed as this promotion expert despite only winning, what, two promotions in nearly 2 decades?

edit: Oh, and look how they ended for him. Immediate relegation at Sheffield United, and sacked at QPR with them only just above the drop-zone.

1. Fernandes wanted out, how many more times does this need repeating for people?

3. Beckford has had runs of games under Sven and Pearson and done **** all. Yakubu got abuse for being a lazy git, but many defended him for scoring goals. Beckford does nothing!!!

Rather be just above the drop-zone in the Prem than 15th in the Championship to be fair.

30 odd years in management and only two-and-a-half in the top flight.

The first two ended in relegation with Notts County and Sheffield United, and he was sacked from QPR after spending an amount that made Sven look like Rob Kelly.

On the subject of Sheffield United, how many tries did he have before taking them up?

The man has earned fame for slagging off clubs, referees and other professionals because his managerial record is little better than the far less odious Dave Jones.

Fernandes did not want to be here. Do you not understand this?

Abe is a prt time player for Japan (wow) he was was terrible against forest, where as Wellens played well when he came on. Making Abe out to be some kind of saviour is pathetic.

We had the same about Danns and he's done very little above average himself.

Listening to NP, i am amazed, he takes NO RESPONSIBILITY... says we have a shot squad... laughable Nigel

And I'd rather not float around the middle of the championship with an absolute cvnt in charge for years, then get lucky with one promotion and everyone bill that cvnt as a genius thank you very much.

If not for Taarabt, they wouldn't BE in the Premiership.

Pearson did get the tactics very wrong today. Recently I've been blaming the players but it is Nige today. He can't afford to get it wrong many more games. Sacking him though could mean relegation imo. Got to give him to the end of the season. But he has GOT to do something drastic.

Fernandes wanted to leave because he wasn't being played.

I agree about Beckford. My patience with the guy is starting to run out.
