m00nie Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 do sheffield usually get good followings or is it as they both doing well? not bad for both them to be getting decent figures..
Kitchandro Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 I'd like to know what our League 1 average away attendance was.
Bayfox Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 fair play to port vale when you look at some of the clubs below them. Cov, Watford, Doncaster.
cambridgefox Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 Coventry only take on av 3 more fans away than Luton in the conf
Dan Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 Hayes & Yeading 29 4th is superb in fairness. I'm amazed we take more than Southampton when they're top, although they cover more miles.
Walker Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 do sheffield usually get good followings or is it as they both doing well? not bad for both them to be getting decent figures.. Always noticed Sheff Weds have had good followings. Doesn't surprise me in the slightest they're so high up that table. Their home attendances have stood out for me over the past couple of years too, given their plight!
Walker Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 Respect to Oxford fans too. 928 away fans on average for a League Two club, brilliant support!
norfolkfox222 Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 Great away fans!! Ill be there valentines night! Spending it with the love of my life.... LCFC
Guest MattP Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 Oxford gotta be the P4P best on that. Just less than 1,000 for a league 2 club.
Ozwin Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 We never get praised enough for our away following, considering our current situation (ie being utter shite) taking upwards of 2k on average is immense.
1964FOX Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 So with that kind of support do we really have delusions of grandeur?
wellyfox Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 Oxford gotta be the P4P best on that. Just less than 1,000 for a league 2 club. All respect to em. And the fact they do covscum by 200 :scarf:
Babylon Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 Don't our figures get warped a bit because of taking 8 million people to Cov?
m00nie Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 Don't our figures get warped a bit because of taking 8 million people to Cov? not really, i imagine most teams have one local/game where they always tend to take more.
BrummieFOX Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 Don't our figures get warped a bit because of taking 8 million people to Cov? We took more to Peterborough once
1964FOX Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 Don't our figures get warped a bit because of taking 8 million people to Cov? I know what you are saying but as they are averages and every other team has the opportunity to attend local games in larger numbers then I'm happy to accept 4th place.
Leicester Lass Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 Don't our figures get warped a bit because of taking 8 million people to Cov? I'm sure West Ham got the same allocation as us, as will Leeds when they go there if the demand is high enough. As someone else has said, there's instances such as this for every team, Leeds away at Doncaster for example - their allocation was significantly larger than that offered to any other club.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 If we were doing well think we would be a few hundred more. But considering where we are in the league thats not a bad following.
Ozwin Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 do sheffield usually get good followings or is it as they both doing well? not bad for both them to be getting decent figures.. Sheffield Wednesday have always been known to have the best away support. They travel in numbers no matter what position they're in.
