Finnegan Posted 31 January 2012 Posted 31 January 2012 I see some of you think serving people in shops counts. In which case: Grant Nicholas from Feeder, Simon Pegg, Andy Serkis, some **** from Busted (and his fit missus), Jimi Mistry to name but a few. What do I win?
Thracian Posted 31 January 2012 Posted 31 January 2012 No idea which of these is the more famous? World motorbike champion Barry Sheene (visited him at his then home in Cambridgeshire). Entertainer Tommy Steele (arguably the first "pop" idol) and six times British Open squash champion Jonah Barrington (played them at squash at Wembley and Hereford respectively). Veteran actor Bill Maynard (came to watch some football at my place). Legendary international boxing referee Harry Gibbs (Had tea with him at his house in Essex) World Motor Racing Champion James Hunt (lunch with him at the launch of the (Lord) Hesketh Superbike at Easton Newton, Towcester). European, British and Commonwealth heavyweight boxing champion Joe Bugner who lost on points against Muhammad Ali for the world title. (Visited him at his then home in St Ives, Cambridgeshire and at Andy Smith's gym in the same town)

Ilkeston_Fox Posted 31 January 2012 Posted 31 January 2012 Met Princess Diana when I was younger, spoke with her for a few minutes, and truly nice she was too. Met Andy King the year we won League 1, very nice chap. Few other city players too, Muzzy Izzet, Steve Walsh (on numerous occasions) most notable was when he awarded me a trophy for winning a mini world cup at a 'footballing in the community' thing back in my younger days. Had the 'pleasure' of meeting Tim Westwood in Magaluf, in fact me and my mates talked our way in to his VIP area in BCM - we, along with Tim and his security were the only blokes in there, the rest were some pretty stunning women. Got my wicked way with a couple of them too.....but that's another story
Trav Le Bleu Posted 31 January 2012 Posted 31 January 2012 I mean spoken to, I suppose. I forgot I've met Sven as well. Forgot about him... You say "spoken to". Does this included hurling verbal abuse at them from the stands? If so, David Beckham.

Alexikokopops Posted 31 January 2012 Posted 31 January 2012 I forgot, I met all the Killers in 2003 at the Bivouac in Lincoln after the supported British Sea Power, about 8 months before they released Hot Fuss. I promptly bought the original Mr Brightside CD single. Next week I saw BSP again, got confused in a lift with the guitarist from the Killers before trying to follow him backstage, and then bought some chips instead of the vinyl version of the original Mr Brightside. Last time I checked that vinyl went for over £60 (and that was five years ago). Most expensive chips I've ever had. I saw them once since that. Then they release Hot Fuss, I was incredibly disappointed, and haven't listened to them too much since. For people who know who Rey Mysterio is they will know which 1 of the 4 he is Will give you a clue he is the 1 stood next to me I'm slightly ashamed to admit it but I know who he is. I never would have thought he looked like that!
