Hi Ian do you know if Beckford was genuinely ill after his hatrick against Forest or was their another issue with why he did not want to talk to the media after the match?

Have you read this thread?

Proud isn't a word that springs into my mind!

lol proud of the donations anyway. Not so proud of some of the tools on here. Have to say though stringer, you have done yourself proud. Hopefully you will have won over some haters. You seem a genuinely nice bloke...

We try and get different voices on the air but look at this forum, it's a way people air their views. With that, Twiiter, FB, message boards, the 'phone' isn't used for calls a lot these days. We nee to think smmarter about how we get different media on the ari. Also remember we're local radio, not blessed with massive budgets to get loads of staff to do the calling.

Thanks for listening though

Ian why could you not get a couple from here on live.

And let them bring in questions from the members or one from here and one from bentleys roof.

Do it once a month or so. Be good for us and something different for you.

Ian, I bet commentating on radio is hard, but there are times where you do "wander off topic" a little giving the listener a great insight to everything other than what's happening on the pitch.

I suppose my questions are - Is everything you do and say calculated and a part of some commentating formula you've been taught or is it all ad-hock? Are you sometimes aware that you might be losing focus?

I'm not having a dig as I know it's hard to please everyone and you do have a lot of fans.

Plus £2 given, good luck

Hi Collymore,

Thanks for the question and many thanks fort the donation, I really do appreciate it as do the 10 charities.

I don't mind the question chief. Yes I am aware I'm going 'off topic' and this is all about Trust. It's my job to make sure the audience trust me and trust that if there's anything of note going on, I'll tell you, if the ball is simply being apssed square in defence and it's dull then I may try to 'add colour' or plug the phone-in, mention the station name (without this people may not tick their RAJAR diary and we'd lose listeners and possibly airtime etc so it's key, for the record Sport is the most listened to programme on Radio Leicester)

I may make some so-called 'stupid comments' but it's an attempt to either offer insight, trail what's coming on or to promote debate whilst watching the game, being fed scores in my ear, bringing in Alan and making sure we're still on the air.

I'm still learning and I know that. I try very hard to be the best I can be but like everyone, I have off days. I hope they are fewer than the good performances.

Up the City,

Ian

Ian simple question which club do you hate the most?

Spurs

Here's a good'un;

Jobber, bloke's a genius

I can guarantee he was ill

Who has the most banter in Radio Leicester?

Jason Bourne sounds like he has, he can say whatever the fvck he wants with a name like that!

Hi Enderby,

Daggers and I hammer Jason, he loves it though. Ballard is so funny it's not true. Sport desk hammers the news desk and we always win. Too easy

Ian, why do you think so many fans have got in in for Richie Wellens?

Wellens bashing seems to be highly fashionable these days, regardless of the standard of performance he puts in.

Thanx good to hear many hear felt it could of been due to problems with Pearson or even dislike to some of the fans reaction to his performances, maybe he felt the pressure after all!

I must admit, before tonight I thought you were a complete bellcheese but you've really changed my mind.

The fact that you even came on here and opened yourself up for abuse raises you in my estimation.

Thanks and well done!!
