Walshy5 Posted 12 February 2012 Posted 12 February 2012 Was thinking about this the other day after Norwich tickets sold out. Managed to get mine btw about an hour before they sold out . Just out of curiosity have any of the following things ever happened to you? 1. The person in front of you has bought the last tickets. 2. You've bought the last tickets. 3. You've gone to buy so many tickets for you and your mates and theres not enough left and if so what did you do?
Jace Posted 12 February 2012 Posted 12 February 2012 Interesting question! Not me must of happened to someone!
Guest parky0607 Posted 12 February 2012 Posted 12 February 2012 If number 1 ever happened to me, there'd probably be a riot.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 12 February 2012 Posted 12 February 2012 My Dad bought tickets for Orient away with Bernie in front of him in the queue, little did we know till a fortnight later that Bernie was sat next to us when we arrived there. We moved seats just before kick off.
Bayfox Posted 12 February 2012 Posted 12 February 2012 i got the last 5 tickets for whu away this season but wasnt there in person to collect them.
Kitchandro Posted 12 February 2012 Posted 12 February 2012 My two mates got the very last 2 tickets for the Cardiff second leg, so I'm led to believe. If number 3 happened I'd get them all and the ones that cared the least would have to draw straws.
Captain... Posted 13 February 2012 Posted 13 February 2012 Back in the early 90s I was in the queue to see Jet and Wolf from Galdiators, they were appearing at Beaumont Leys shopping centre, doing a signing and photo session. We got to the very front of the queue after queuing for ages and they put the rope across and said there would be no more in, we could see the table they were, we could smell the testosterone and lycra, I could hear Jet's playful laugh but we couldn't meet them. I was gutted, my sister started crying when I got home I ripped up all my Jet posters, I few years later I found them and stuck them back together, if you know what I mean. There really is nothing more frustrating than waiting inline for ages and then not getting in, or getting tickets. For those who don't know who Jet is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rat5VfSNCW4
Guest Col city fan Posted 13 February 2012 Posted 13 February 2012 Back in the 80's... 'The Smiths' were playing their final ever gig at Wolverhampton Civic Hall. Entrance was Free! If you arrived in a Smiths tee shirt. Me and mi mates piled over in my first ever car.. A clapped out old Ford Escort Estate.. We parked up somewhere, got into the queue and were all of an excitement. This was a pretty small venue and the gig was gonna be great. Anyway... We were about fourth from the front, just about to get in, when they shut the doors cos it was full... Just to add insult to injury I got a fookin parking ticket when we sadly arrived back at the car. So we missed our favourite bands final gig, and mi mates, the bastards, wouldn't contribute to the parking fine! Had a great laff though....
JimmyB Posted 13 February 2012 Posted 13 February 2012 I reckon I got the last 2 tickets for Norwich.. Went online on my phone to get 3 tickets but could only get 2 with mine and a mates season ticket, LCFC Direct was saying there was 4 tickets left. Decided to ring the ticket office and after being on hold for a short while was told they were sold out. Luckily enough I went to browse the web on my phone minutes later and realised I had the 2 tickets still in my basket, didn't expect it to work but tried paying for them and was very pleased when the payment went through. 2 out of 3 ain't bad!
mod hero Posted 13 February 2012 Posted 13 February 2012 Yes. Me and my old man qued up for swindon tickets playoff final 93 for 5 hours and got the last 2 tickets behind the goal 12 rows apart. I had to sit on his knee. No shit. Thompson equaliser, the most amazing feeling I have ever experienced to this day as city fan.

Random but a lovely surprise, still looking smoking in her older age. Interesting story!
