Bob Weasel Fox Posted 28 February 2012 Posted 28 February 2012 looks a bit like Mills with a 70's porn tash
HoustonFox Posted 29 February 2012 Posted 29 February 2012 Well good for Mills if he is buckling down and playing for the reserves. He's a decent player (not in the Kermorgant sense - no one is THAT decent) so if he sorts himself out, takes it on the chin and wants to stay and win his place back, that's good by me.
CKB Posted 29 February 2012 Posted 29 February 2012 So from the quick browse through this thread it seems he is now staying? Personally im in two minds over this, he has had a few decent games but at times seems very temperamental, his long balls truely infuriate me at times.. I guess we shouldn't be surprised though as look at what the Reading fans said!
blueharmie Posted 29 February 2012 Posted 29 February 2012 id stay for 20/30 or 40k whatever a week he is on, reserve football? id take that also!
RyanB89 Posted 29 February 2012 Posted 29 February 2012 someones gotta leave we have to many center backs (bamba, morgan, st ledger, mills, tunchev)
StanSP Posted 29 February 2012 Posted 29 February 2012 If Mills gets his act together, apologises fully and gets his head sorted both on and off the pitch, he'll stay. I honestly think Tunchev will be gone in the summer. That may be an unpopular decision, but I rate all other 4 defenders higher than him. He's too much of a liability with his injuries. He's good when he plays, but there just aren't many occasions recently when that happens. The fact that Morgan has been signed is not only because Pearson may have plans to sell Mills, but it also shows that Tunchev isn't up to scratch, in my opinion. I'm perfectly happy with SSL, Morgan, Bamba and Mills as our centre-back options (in that order).

Couldn't agree more Tunch has been good for us but it's time to move on and let him find first team football. As for us Mills needs to realise he's not as good as he thinks he is and start working for a team instead of Matt Mills united

Although the ideal is to have quality back up for every position I'm doubtful that we could accommodate the egos/expectations of this quartet for a full season barring long term injury for one of them. I think that this season has shown the difficult balancing act between maintaining a strong squad and a cohesive one
Guest Posted 29 February 2012 Posted 29 February 2012 And Bamba is better than any other CB we have, my order would be Bamba, Morgan, SSL, Mills, Tunch
LCFC_FoRdY Posted 29 February 2012 Posted 29 February 2012 ****ing joke. Absolutely gutted at this.He has so much more to give and he obviously does want to play for us. Obviously Morgan and StLedger are first choice but surely he can be fighting to win his place back instead of doing well at Leeds and also with them in front of us were only helping them by giving him away to them. FUMING  This is actually a ****IN EMBARASSMENT Too right, got loads more abuse than was necessary and was clearly a good football player. Hopefully it will only stay as a loan and will be back for next season, if we do get to the prem, we'll need him

Currently, though, I and I'm sure Pearson too would rather have more options than less options. It's just a case of how many times do you not select a player before he kicks up a fuss.

I think we now know the answer for that in respect of Mills
lcfcbaby Posted 29 February 2012 Posted 29 February 2012 And Bamba is better than any other CB we have, my order would be Bamba, Morgan, SSL, Mills, Tunch You can have the best defenders in the league but If they don't work together and build a partnership then it can be disastrous plus Bamba pushes too far forward as a centre back for me! My order would be SSL, Morgan, Bamba, Mills
Guest Posted 29 February 2012 Posted 29 February 2012 Fair enough, there's no problem with different opinions. Bamba is one of the best CDs in the league for me.

rico Posted 29 February 2012 Posted 29 February 2012 Fair enough, there's no problem with different opinions. Bamba is one of the best CDs in the league for me. didn't know he liked dressing up as a woman
Les-TA-Jon Posted 29 February 2012 Posted 29 February 2012 Remember it is not a forgone conclusion that we'll be able to keep SSL or Bamba beyond the summer. Both have shown themselves to be great players over this season and last. Bamba was the only player to play every minute of the African Cup of Nations, SSL is ever present in the Ireland team and may well put himself in the shop window this summer. If they keep playing well and getting plaudits I would expect many top flight teams to come sniffing, plus the players may jump ship to get PL football sooner rather than later. Plus SSL almost left in Jan.
Les-TA-Jon Posted 29 February 2012 Posted 29 February 2012 Neither can leave? they're under contract? What? So you've never heard of a contracted player moving from one club to another?
Guest Posted 29 February 2012 Posted 29 February 2012 you said "able to keep" Of course we are able to keep them, they're under contract. It would be our CHOICE to sell them on. So it's our decision making your point invalid.
Guest Posted 29 February 2012 Posted 29 February 2012 SSL nearly left in January because we didn't deem him good enough to stay and he was whining like Mills is alledgedly doing now. I'm shocked at the SSL love in - he needs to prove himself over the longer term for me.
