Les-TA-Jon Posted 29 February 2012 Posted 29 February 2012 Yeak ok, technically speaking we would be able to keep them. But we've seen it before haven't we? If a player wants to go, the player goes eventually. If a bid came in, and the player's head was turned we've got 3 options: 1 - convince him to stay/convince him that leaving would be bad 2 - barter for a higher price and let him go 3 - force him to stay, citing that he is under contract, leaving us with a disgruntled player in a season when we would need to be challenging for 2nd spot.
rico Posted 29 February 2012 Posted 29 February 2012 SSL nearly left in January because we didn't deem him good enough to stay and he was whining like Mills is alledgedly doing now. I'm shocked at the SSL love in - he needs to prove himself over the longer term for me. this
Out Foxed Posted 29 February 2012 Posted 29 February 2012 a little birdy tells me he's withdrawn from the house he was buying (in cash)
davieG Posted 29 February 2012 Posted 29 February 2012 a little birdy tells me he's withdrawn from the house he was buying (in cash) Probably been fined 2 weeks wages ( the max I think) so messed up his buying it outright
Bluearmyfox28 Posted 29 February 2012 Posted 29 February 2012 Can honestly see Pearson selling tunch and Millsey in the summer and attempt to bring in Chester!?
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 29 February 2012 Posted 29 February 2012 Can honestly see Pearson selling tunch and Millsey in the summer and attempt to bring in Chester!? wont get any money for Thunchev as his contract is up anyway
Fox 4 Life Posted 1 March 2012 Posted 1 March 2012 LEEDS United look set to miss out on Leicester City centre-back Matt Mills. Mills is reported to have fallen out with Foxes manager Nigel Pearson, but the Midlands club has so far rebuffed Leeds’ overtures for a loan signing, even though a deal looked to be on the cards last weekend. It was reported that the former Reading captain had personally rejected the approach from new Leeds boss Neil Warnock, but Pearson is likely to have the final say and is understood to have said in his pre-match press conference today that Mills will be staying at Leicester for now. The £5m defender was left out of Leicester’s squad for their game with Derby County last week, after which Leeds moved quickly to express interest. Warnock is keen to make additions to his defence ahead of Saturday’s clash with Championship leaders Southampton. http://www.yorkshirepost.co.uk/sport/football/leeds-united/leeds_united_denied_as_mills_stays_put_1_4300042
Daggers Posted 1 March 2012 Posted 1 March 2012 But...but...but...the whole deal had been completed. Someone said so on the internets - they had sources and everything. I'm shocked and feel lied to & cheated.
Corky Posted 1 March 2012 Posted 1 March 2012 It was reported that the former Reading captain had personally rejected the approach from new Leeds boss Neil Warnock, Poor old Colin.
Happy Fox Posted 1 March 2012 Posted 1 March 2012 So NP wants to keep him for the time being, I think that is a wise move their are a lot of games coming up this month and we need all our CBs.
TheUltimateWinner Posted 1 March 2012 Posted 1 March 2012 If he impresses and proves he is worthy to wear a shirt than thats fine by me Sent from my X10i using Tapatalk
vandamman Posted 1 March 2012 Posted 1 March 2012 Cue...Mills has gone in to speak to Pearson personally and obviously is a great lad, deserves to start. DROP SSL!!!!!11!!1!1
Jordan Posted 1 March 2012 Posted 1 March 2012 But...but...but...the whole deal had been completed. Someone said so on the internets - they had sources and everything. I'm shocked and feel lied to & cheated. I've heard from some of my sources that a few of the "ITK's" on FoxesTalk and twitter are full of shit and post gossip to get attention. But this is just a RUMOUR; I'm only letting you know what I've been told.
Soar Fox Posted 1 March 2012 Posted 1 March 2012 Didn't someone confirm on here he that he had completed the move?
lcfcbaby Posted 1 March 2012 Posted 1 March 2012 Cue...Mills has gone in to speak to Pearson personally and obviously is a great lad, deserves to start. DROP SSL!!!!!11!!1!1 Why SSL? He's hit form. Pearson would not put Mills in the team!
Fox92 Posted 1 March 2012 Posted 1 March 2012 Cue...Mills has gone in to speak to Pearson personally and obviously is a great lad, deserves to start. DROP SSL!!!!!11!!1!1 SSL is our best defender in my opinion. Mills doesn't deserve to start, like any other player doesn't. I'd personally rather have St Ledger and Morgan over Mills.

Lobsterboyuk Posted 2 March 2012 Posted 2 March 2012 So Leeds has fallen through then? http://www.thisisleicestershire.co.uk/Matt-Mills-contention-Leicester-City/story-15374123-detail/story.html
Lobsterboyuk Posted 2 March 2012 Posted 2 March 2012 Or maybe not according to BBC - WTF? They were both at the same fvcking press conference http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/17225020
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 5 March 2012 Posted 5 March 2012 Sky Sports understands West Ham are eyeing a move for Leicester City defender Matt Mills. Mills has found himself frozen out of things at the King Power Stadium following a reported bust-up with Foxes boss Nigel Pearson. The summer signing from Reading has been left out of the Leicester squad for the last three games and the news has alerted a number of clubs who are now ready to take the 25-year-old on loan for the rest of the season. Foxes boss Pearson admitted last week Leeds have shown an interest in the former Reading ace, but now West Ham are weighing up a move for the central defender. Hammers boss Sam Allardyce could be interested in Mills as he looks to bolster his squad for the final run-in as they bid for promotion back to the Premier League. http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11712/7572084/Hammers-eye-Mills-move
thybluefox Posted 5 March 2012 Posted 5 March 2012 Yeah, Mills must be shit if a team heading back to the prem want him, even if it is just a loan.
Dan Posted 5 March 2012 Posted 5 March 2012 So you've decided you'll trust West Ham's judgment of him rather than our own, even though he's played for us as captain all season. Jesus.
