lcfcbaby Posted 29 February 2012 Posted 29 February 2012 2 days? What's the fooking point! Twitter probably doesn't even know!
StanSP Posted 29 February 2012 Posted 29 February 2012 Why do people bother with twitter, i know loads use it but your a pro footballer earning thousands best job in the world surely youve got better things to do with your time than tweet? if you want to have banter with your mates ring, text, email or go see them they must get bored, why dont they do some charity work or help kids in the community if they have to much spare time who is bothered if mr x is out shopping for a new pair of shoes?? Bore off! Saying that SSL great player for us How do you know they don't do charity work or help kids out? Do you know the profile of every individual at the club and what they get up to outside of Twitter and football? I very much doubt it.
sharpie Posted 29 February 2012 Posted 29 February 2012 fair point, but if they had done some charity work im sure we would have heard about it, they would announce it on twitter wouldnt they??
Bert Posted 29 February 2012 Posted 29 February 2012 Just because they're footballers, it doesn't mean they're not allowed to lead a normal life! Twitter is a great way for the players to interact. Anyway, Ledge has created a new account!
sharpie Posted 29 February 2012 Posted 29 February 2012 whats normal about announcing to everyone that u are about to eat a bacon sandwich, boring hell get a life!
AdamN Posted 29 February 2012 Posted 29 February 2012 Whereas people who sit and complain about Twitter on internet forums obviously lead rich and interesting lives...
lcfcbaby Posted 29 February 2012 Posted 29 February 2012 Just because they're footballers, it doesn't mean they're not allowed to lead a normal life! Twitter is a great way for the players to interact. Anyway, Ledge has created a new account! Are you sure it's actually him?
StanSP Posted 29 February 2012 Posted 29 February 2012 Just because they're footballers, it doesn't mean they're not allowed to lead a normal life! Twitter is a great way for the players to interact. Anyway, Ledge has created a new account! I don't think it's him. Plus, if he's only been banned for 2 days, why would 'he' make a new account? I'd just wait . He keeps saying the same things i.e. copy and pasting, to all the other footballers.
lcfcbaby Posted 29 February 2012 Posted 29 February 2012 I don't think it's him. That's what I thought
Lambert09 Posted 29 February 2012 Posted 29 February 2012 whats normal about announcing to everyone that u are about to eat a bacon sandwich, boring hell get a life! If you dont find what they say interesting dont follow them...simple as. Its a great way to keep in touch with the fans and show your a personality not just a body on a pitch. Really dont get why people have an issue with it
Ian W LCFC Posted 29 February 2012 Posted 29 February 2012 Whereas people who sit and complain about Twitter on internet forums obviously lead rich and interesting lives... Totally agree, i think twitter is a great way for fans to keep in touch with players and the club!
HoustonFox Posted 29 February 2012 Posted 29 February 2012 He's only got a 2 day ban so he'll be back soon according to Peltier! 2 days? What's the fooking point! Twitter time is like dog years. A two day ban is like a 10 year ban from MSN...
Bert Posted 29 February 2012 Posted 29 February 2012 That's what I thought Seems you were both wrong!
StanSP Posted 29 February 2012 Posted 29 February 2012 Appears so! I'm happy to retract what I said .

leicesterisme Posted 29 February 2012 Posted 29 February 2012 whats normal about announcing to everyone that u are about to eat a bacon sandwich, boring hell get a life! I'd say they have got a life to be fair looking at what they do for a living! Some fans would moan if we didn't have any players on Twitter, they'd say their not interacting with the fans. It is a great way to talk to the fans. I can't really see a negative side to it unless they are using it to slate their team mates or manager in a serious manner, which I don't think any player with half a brain cell would do.
Danny the Fox 95 Posted 29 February 2012 Posted 29 February 2012 Just because they're footballers, it doesn't mean they're not allowed to lead a normal life! Twitter is a great way for the players to interact. Anyway, Ledge has created a new account! Well said!
Spiritwalker Posted 29 February 2012 Posted 29 February 2012 Bet some bitter Forest fan grassed him up. EDIT: And i'm not being facetious, I bet this actually happened. It was Wellens.
Guest Col city fan Posted 29 February 2012 Posted 29 February 2012 I've said it before and I'll say it again.. This whole twitter malarky will end in tears. Someone's gonna get sued, or murdered or summat for something that they've said on Twitter. I don't know this for a fact of course, but I do wonder where it may all end? The players would be wise to tread with real caution cos they are so in the public limelight.
