cardifflee Posted 4 March 2012 Posted 4 March 2012 good to see all the do gooders are out in force again, all against a fight at football but all reading the crap on here and posting!!!!
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 4 March 2012 Posted 4 March 2012 Yep. The 70s was really bad. I got a kicking from a few Liverpool supporters following a two nil win over them. Got me from behind as well.
Lobsterboyuk Posted 4 March 2012 Posted 4 March 2012 I'm sure some of them do do that. I know a couple of them, and I promise you they're the soundest blokes you'd meet. One in particular would do anything for anyone. Yes he probably shouldn't fo it, and yes you'll take the Mick for saying the couple I know are sound. But they genuinely are. This is not a black and white thing as some people want to insist (who probably weren't there) but you are spot on. Some points to make here: Back in the day on an away trip we would be approached by a local and asked to step into an alley, to which we would politely decline and go on our merry way - respected that honour among hoolies thing - yes there were a good number of psycho cvnts, I'd be a tit to pretend otherwise *but* I don't accept there wasn't more to it than that There was a big side to it that wasn't about attacking indiscriminately - my cousin was in the baby squad, half my school mates liked their away day fun, it was all pre-arranged, those who were up for it did it - we all kept out of their way and enjoyed the football Do I agree with it? No. Do I want those days back? No. But it must be acknowledged that for a good number of hooligans it was completely about fighting for the city and nothing else...
Lobsterboyuk Posted 4 March 2012 Posted 4 March 2012 Not just away though Chelsea invading pen two ripping up the paving and trowing it on fans trapped in by the fences. Being pelted with coins and batteries in pen two. West ham trying to get in pen four at the end of the game kicking the shite out of an old man at the bottom of the stairs. QPR away getting tear gassed by pompey fans. And arrests totaling hundreds after games not 6. Glad I was too small to be on the kop in those dark days, scary shit
Lobsterboyuk Posted 4 March 2012 Posted 4 March 2012 It is not about local pride or rivalries, it is not about fighting for your city's reputation, these are the same cvnts that will start on you in a bar whether you are from the same city, country post code or whatever. Cvnts look for fights, cvnts see football matches as a place to find fights, don't romanticise it or justify it as being anything more than cvnts being cvnts. Observation based on what? A good number are cvnts absolutely, but you're off the mark because for others it was only about pride and rivalries. It's what they did (and still do AFAIK) - to me you are not a cvnt if you choose to arrange a big scrap out of the way between yourselves and a group of other like-minded blokes

MGLCFC Posted 4 March 2012 Posted 4 March 2012 Lobster arranging the scrap is fine, just so long as being a taxpayer, the NHS doesn't have to pick up the bill when these brawls end up with a number of serious injuries. There should be 2 options a) They pay for any treatment themselves b) If they won't pay, they are refused treatment

Guest Posted 4 March 2012 Posted 4 March 2012 I think we should set up "anything goes" arenas. For people or groups of people who want to kick the shit out of each other. AFAIC it can even be made into a pay to view event and the money raised go to stitching up the survivors afterwards. Get the violence off the streets. Good point from purpleronnie about the town on a fri/sat night. Far worse and keeps some people out of the towns went that shouldn't be the case. The alcohol based violence and idiocy in towns is ridiculous too. We shouldn't need to waste police resources on weekend socialising. Totally unacceptable but accepted in our culture anyway.
stourbridgefox Posted 4 March 2012 Posted 4 March 2012 I think we should set up "anything goes" arenas. . This would be better than the kids running around the touchline at half-time. On the National Service front, I don't think the government has much money left after they've given all their toff friends kickbacks. But...they could get the private sector involved. The hooligans could join BritForce Plc and be parachuted into countries with dictators (oil) and win some lucrative contracts for British companies. Instead of wearing drab khaki, they could be sponsored by private sector companies. Got to be better than working for Tesco for nowt.

Got me from behind as well. i suppose it saved you the trouble of doing it to yourself for a while . please don't take offence i really do mean this in a friendly ribbing way ok ? i'm not making light of your probs , good luck eh
MANFACE Posted 4 March 2012 Posted 4 March 2012 Just remember, that's it's a small minority of disabled fans that do this shit, we have them too. The vast majority of Cov and Leicester fans are decent human beings.

There are some seriously fvcked up views on this thread and any of you who are trying to justify, almost romanticise people kicking the shit out of each other really should take a good hard think about what you are saying.

WTF - that's a fvcked up view right there. The justification is that if people choose to have a bit of scrap amongst themselves, out of the way of joe public (which is what I am talking about) that is their business - and it doesn't make them a cvnt - that's not a fvcked up view. Anyway fvck it - I know this is emotive and I'm wasting my breath with most on this forum - but LCFCStu had a valid point and so do I. It was a good win yesterday so I'm going to back to the optimistic bus thread and new chants and enjoy being a city fan rather than listen to anymore of this bollocks

Those fights you're so impressed by rarely if ever took place away from Joe public not only that but as a result us football fans looking to see a football game are now treated like scum,

Lobsterboyuk Posted 4 March 2012 Posted 4 March 2012 But in these jolly little scraps of yours people get hurt, people die, they need to be treated by the NHS and get buried by their families. OK, I'll bite - let me qualify this carefully - I'm being narrow on purpose, plenty of evil bad shit has happened and I'm as appalled as anybody by that BUT in the history of LCFC how many supporters have died while having a bit of a scrap behind a pub somewhere? Also - these never were and never will be my scraps - never started a fight in my life - BUT not everyday who fights is a psycho cvnt - that's what I'm saying

Is this your defence? If I can't name someone who has died as a result of football violence involving Leicester then it proves that grown men organising fights is ok? I can't name any incident, or give you any statistics, but you seem to be the expert on it, so why don't you provide evidence from your wealth of experience of football hooliganism, explain to me how they can have a little scrap and nobody got hurt? Am I wrong, is it actually a choregraphed display of capoeira? Or are they all so hard that knives and baseball bats just bounce off them?
1964FOX Posted 4 March 2012 Posted 4 March 2012 To get back to the subject - nobody was stabbed at the match yesterday.
Lobsterboyuk Posted 4 March 2012 Posted 4 March 2012 Do I agree with it? No. Do I want those days back? No. But it must be acknowledged that for a good number of hooligans it was completely about fighting for the city and nothing else... I'm making a specific point - nothing more to say - re-read my posts because some of you are determined to drag me off my point - if you did read my posts we are much closer in opinion on most points around violence and football than you all want to acknowledge. People who start fights vary in degree from excitement seekers throwing a few punches and bloodying a few noses, to complete fvcking evil animals - at the low end of the spectrum they can get on with it - whatever turns them on - so long as they leave me and the rest of society out of it
Guest Bilo Posted 4 March 2012 Posted 4 March 2012 8 pages about a stabbing at a football match that didn't happen, with some hankering after the good old days and a sprinkling of personal abuse? Welcome to FoxesTalk!

Bob Weasel Fox Posted 4 March 2012 Posted 4 March 2012 i dont want to read the last 8 pages, and this comment is just a "wild stab in the dark" but has there been a few arguments on this thread?
