One in particular would do anything for anyone. Yes he probably shouldn't fo it, and yes you'll take the Mick for saying the couple I know are sound. But they genuinely are. Well they can't be both true can they? People who start on people for fun or for 'pride' are almost always psycho twats. In fact that alone makes them arseholes.

The ambulance was for a Cov fan who had his jaw broken by a fellow Cov fan. No Leicester fans involved in any issues at today's game as far as I know. Bit of lip towards to supporters as they got on the coaches but no drama.

You've no idea how many drains and lamp-posts etc I have had to rummage through these past few days!!!! Those manhole covers are heavy! Not to mention the gunk inside that ha to be searched!!!

I think every generation believes that things used to be better, its not always the case. Thats not to diminish the level of crime though. Back it the 80's when i first went to games there was much much more violence but that cant be held as a barometer of how bad things are just like some idiots causing trouble today has no real relevance. the police / government's crime figures may say things are no worse , but their appearance seems to say something quite different

If you did you'd know it was much much worse back then. It wasn't an 'ageist' comment. It was a statement of fact. Of course I watched it then and it was terrible but I was referring to an earlier period when it was better and that maybe that was the era Thracian was referring to. I didn't say it was ageist and it's a 'fact' that it was better in the early 60's. There was less petty crime, hardly any wanton vandalism, streets were cleaner and no violence at football matches so no rose coloured spectacles needed to say it was better then.

Finnegan Posted 4 March 2012 Posted 4 March 2012 Whilst I'm not against National Service what a lot of these kids needed was learning a basic set of values from their parents. Having kids is a huge challenge and a responsibility. A lot of parents these days seem to be kids themselves and they are too busy living their own tangled up lives to care for their offspring. It's frightening. Probably the first time I've ever agreed with Mack!

It's not really about yobos mugging people or petty crime, is it? It's a fear of large scale terrorism. It's not like they're roaming around Leicester on a Saturday night like that.
