"It's ok lads, you can play like you don't give a shit but if you're earning the big bucks you'll be in next week" As long as Pearson doesn't feel that his authority is being challenged he is completely unwilling to make big decisions regarding selection.
Guest Col city fan Posted 13 March 2012 Posted 13 March 2012 If we had Peltier and especially Konch in then i'd be a tiny bit less worried but with Kennedy (short on games for us) and St.Ledger (not in his favoured position) I fear the worst. Ah well, you never know with Leicester, we might win and even Beckford might bag a goal. I have a feeling St.Ledger might be a pretty good right back.. He's kinda built for it in the same way as Vitor could play RB very well. Tonight be will be tough for him though. Beckfords gonna grab one I think..

Because he can win matches, he will also attract more defensive attention because of his higher profile hopefully creating more space for Nugent, Beckford will play on Sunday and is better than Schlupp or Howard.

Why does it matter if he's better than Schlupp or Howard? Why can't we take a flexible approach to our formation? And if our opponents have watched more than 2 of our games this season, they'll know that if you give Beckford 5 yards of space, the ball will just bounce off his shins back to somebody else. Counting on the opposition not doing their homework is not a reason to select a player.
