Otherwise we're always going to struggle to open them up. We never move the ball quick enough, Wellens has slowed and Danns isn't the same, he's never struck me as much of a passer. And neither are particularly good and taking players one. Neither are Gallagher, Marshall or Drinkwater. Dyer is the only one who can actually make something himself but he doesn't run at his full back as much as he should, plus he's technically useless. Yes yes yes. You get a nice +1 for that.

We seem to lack a system of play and there is no structure. Just ball moving. Aaand whilst writing - we score - Nemesis!!! We need to play with the same intensity that destroyed Forest, Southampton & even stood up to Norwich etc Forwards need to run their bollocks off to find space, the midfield then need to pass to them quickly, too often people are happy standing marked shirking their responsibility, the midfield have no choice but to pass sideways Rocket & arse are two words that spring to mind...

I've noticed this too. He does try to up the tempo but his team mates are normally a step or two behind. He has bags of energy but can be frustrating at times.

Agree 100% - why the big difference in performance level? Lack of interest and passion? Is NP unable to "set them up" and motivate them? I mean they are presumably paid relatively handsomely for doing something a lot of people would love to do for a lot less money. I have written this before but the inconsistency is so f..... annoying!

Without taking Wellens out for DD I think we will be the same. RW has been playing ok though apart from his dodgy angled chips that just run to the goalkeeper EVERYTIME. If only Gally had pace...

Christoph Posted 13 March 2012 Posted 13 March 2012 Alot of people are moaning but this is a high flying Birmingham team that have been ripping it across the championship and we've made them look fairly average. I think theres more positives than negatives to take out of our game so far.
