Must be the only one who thought we weren't that bad today then.

People saying worst performance in a long time......laughable, that was a millions times better than Tuesday

Im annoyed that most the players didnt have the balls to come over to the fans at the end. Some did, but alot stood on halfway with half hearted applause. Kasper came up to us and walked around to applaud us all yet the coaching staff were nowhere to be seen.

Still not too down about, come to expect it this season and my glass is very much full regarding our chances next year.

The amount of helmets that were in our end at the final whistle booing and singing 'your not fit to wear the shirt' etc so embarrassing. Do these ****** not remember the days of Darren Kenton and those other clowns we use to have in our team.

Bloody hell FoxesTalk, you don't disappoint.

Were we brilliant? No, far from it. But there is a pretty significant middle ground between brilliance and utter shit.

Fact is we dominated for long periods. We caused havoc down the flanks and were better than they were in midfield. They were restricted to about three good chances all game, one of which they scored a tidy goal from.

The problem is that we aren't playing to our strengths. We got umpteen corners and free-kicks but were inept at set pieces. The delivery wasn't bad on the whole, save for a couple of poor corners from Marshall, but we just weren't aggressive enough in the air. This is especially disappointing when you consider the fact that Bamba, Morgan, Nugent and Beckford are all more than useful in the air. We lacked bite in midfield and it looked a fairly defensive central pairing at times, methinks there was a Neil Danns sized hole there sadly.

We look like a team that's low on confidence and not believing their own words about the possibility of making the play-offs and the fire appears to be out in the bellies of some. I don't think the reaction at the end of the game helped, I didn't boo the team off because it just wouldn't fall right for us today. Defeats for teams around us still gives a remote possibility of making the top six, but remote is all it is. Accept it. We have no divine right to be there and have been inconsistent all season, our failure to make the play-offs won't be a surprise.

Give it till the end of the season and start repairing the team then. Until that time, try to be constructive because booing won't bring back the money you've spent or help the team.

Oh, and the ref was a twat.

No ****ing excuses for losing that game, we had plenty of the ball, countless corners and dangerous free-kicks around the box. We had no conviction and it cost us.

They were crap, don't let anyone tell you Peterborough were any good because they weren't, they had one bit of quality that we didn't.

At least the season ends in a month.

Reaction at the end was a disgrace!

People should hold their heads in shame!

Why?

They pay their money and dont get a performance to match it. The players deserved everything they got because they werent good enough, and certain players were truly woeful.

Everyone is entitled to an opinion, and can voice it however they want, within reason.

Sorry Bilo, I disagree.

I thought we were hopeless today. Couldn't string two passes together for a lot of the game. And when we did, we managed to get as far as the edge of the penalty area but no further. We were lacking any modicum of creativity in the final third beyond Marshall's crossing.

Peterborough were no better though; today was like 2 bald men fighting over a comb.

That said, objectively speaking there's no disgrace in losing to Peterborough; they've put far better teams than us to the sword this season. But they only had 2 clean sheets all season before today, and the fact that we were unable to break down what is clearly an extremely poor defence speaks volumes about the lack of imagination and conviction possessed by the City players in the final third.

This is the type of match that I know expect us to lose, which is quite depressing.

On the one hand we put so many balls into the box, on another day we would have definitely scored at least one.

But on the other, we've got no one to blame but ourselves. Yes the goal at the end should have stood. It was a classic case of the goalkeeper being too shit to catch the ball under pressure and the referee giving a free kick for no reason. It's the kind of decision we should make more of because the referees get away with this blatant favourtisim towards keepers time and time again.

But it shouldn't overshadow what was an incompetent performance. We looked very dangerous from Marshall's great deliveries from setpieces but the truth is we struggled to create chances from open play throughout. Even when we did get a few balls in the box near the end our other players showed a complete disregard for getting on the end of them.

Our winger situation is still dire. Or should that be Dyer. Once again, with a weak defence there for the taking (and no surprisingly I don't mean our own, I'll get to that) he consistently failed to even attempt to beat his man. Then when the time came for him to produce some actual football skill and all he does is randomly swing his odd shaped leg in the direction of the ball in the faint hope he will make decent contact. Largely this results in him scuffing it or spooning it into space. Both these things happened a number of times when he was in good positions , notably with his brilliant chance in the second half.

Then we move onto Marshall. Now, I think he deserves a lot of credit today, he worked hard throughout and his delivery was spot on most of the time. He was always looking to shoot or put in a telling cross. But we've been crying out for a winger for a long long time now and that is what he's supposed to be. Except it would be too orthodox to play a winger out wide, oh now, Pearson's genius tells him to play Marshall in the centre, and even when he is played out wide, he instructs him to come inside amongst the congestion of the centre part of the pitch. How does this solve our problems of width and creatvity? If he's a winger, play him out wide. If he's not, get another one. a PROPER winger.

Not only is he out of position but you've got Nugent as well, a striker, oddly enough playing some sort of wide role. Now I appreciate that Pearson is trying to play a variation of 4-3-3 but there is one slight flaw in his plan: It's bollocks. Nugent is our top scorer, not a wide man, he and Beckford (or whichever sod wants to play for us) need to be up front together, as a two, because that was working a few weeks ago. I'm not sure who this new system suits at all.

What is it with Pearson and square pegs in round holes? Central midfielders out wide, strikers out wide, wingers in the centre. He even had Wes Morgan up front for about 20 minutes. Which yeh is good in theory if you want him to knock them around, but it wasn't like he was part of a 5 man strike-force, it was just him, and our strikers and midfielders dropped off lol

I don't understand how we can dominate possession in a match and find it so hard to create chances from open play, yet they play one 30 yard pass over the top and they're on the end of it with a chance. Actually I do have an idea of what the problem might be and that's Lee Peltier. I haven't rated him since before Christmas but I didn't realise how unbelievably dog shit he was until today. The amount of times he is caught out of position is staggering. He is on the halfway line every time the opposition is coming down the left! I find this quite strange considering he offers nothing going forward, every pass is sideways or backwards, he can't cross and he can't skin anyone. Konchesky meanwhile, is up and down the pitch all game, supporting our attacking play, and then, as seen several times today, sprinting over the other side of the pitch to cover Peltier at right back!

Bamba is not a holding midfielder, he can't pass and is too slow in possession, lets drop that experiment. Schmeichel IS getting worse, he's less confident than ever with crosses and his kicking gets even more terrible by the match. Stowell is shit, sack him.

We're a poor team and people need to realise this. As I've been saying for some time, we need to replace a few players and we need to replace them with better ones who have a specific purpose. If they're a winger they need to get the ball out wide, and I stress out wide, run at people, beat people, commit defenders, find space and either score or put it on a plate for our strikers.

Us not scoring today was our own fault, just as conceding was our fault. We need new players and we need them in the summer. Not next January. Not next season. Not when these current crap ones retire. We have not played well today, we have simply had a lot of the ball. Our performance was actually terrible. Again. Against ANOTHER shit club near the bottom.

it was one of those games where we could have gone on all night and we'd still not score. But that's not because all the luck was against us, it's simply because we were too shit to score a goal against Peterborough. (With the wrongly disallowed goal duly noted).

Can't believe people call fans who boo a joke, they pay their hard earned money to watch this bunch of shite, they are entitled to give the ***** some abuse.

And why are we so bloody useless at corners? Every match we have so many and we never look like scoring. The only one I can think of is SSL at Norwich away, no others spring to mind.

Go **** yourself - the reaction at the end was entirely reasonable and understandable. On my mobile on the train back so can't be bothered to elaborate with reasons why. By the way - I'm amazed there hasn't been a thread yet about how bad that Drinkwater free-kick at the end was - deserves his own pile of criticism for how unbelievably shit that was at such a late stage in the game.

nugent scored from Blackpool from a corner. We have scored more since Gallagher hasnt been in the team taking them.

The biggest problem now is the atacking of the ball, previously it was because the way we floated the ball.

I don't normally agree with booing but today was purely out of frustration.

It wasn't spoilt fans not getting their way once in a while, it was people seeing what they'd seen far too many times this season.

Got to question my desire to go to any more games this season, i've got a season ticket but the players can't be bother to turn up...why should I?

This support the team bullshit works both ways, It's hard supporting the team, giving them support, trying to push them on when you get nothing back, why bother.

I'll see not doubt i'll be there next week but it's going to be more like a chore rather than enjoyment, likewise I have to seriously consider whether I want a season ticket next season.

Don't think i'll be the only one who's feeling like this.

I can't disagree with your point about attacking the ball. Marshall put in some good crosses but we allowed them to dominate us in the air, nowhere near aggressive enough. A bit of spine in the air would have seen us take three points today because, as has already been said, they were shit.

I don't know i'm sure probably did say similar things in our relegation season but I think i'm more frustrated and annoyed this season than back then, probably because of the expectations from pre-season, I wasn't OTT expect automatic, but play-offs were reasonable and minimum expectation - whether that be 6th or 3rd I was just asking for playoffs, but we have been a mid-table team all year and that's where we are, huge disappointment.

I probably will be there with my ST next season but finding it hard to get the enthusiasm to renew, then again i've been a season ticket holder for all these years, what if next year is our year and I miss out because this huge disappointment of a season has put me off buying a ST - I think we have to make it next year or it'll be shit or bust next season, I don't think the owners will leave this year but next year if we fail? Maybe.

I think attendance will drop in the few weeks of the season left and possible next year unless we have a good start to next season.
