wattolcfc Posted 1 April 2012 Posted 1 April 2012 Peterborough were no better though; today was like 2 bald men fighting over a comb. Quality quote.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 1 April 2012 Posted 1 April 2012 I don't think it's knee jerk mate. We've been a failure this season Fact Season over... i know i am just as dissapointed as anyone, not sure i can disagree with anyone who wants to critisize the current teams failings. Just not sure where we go from here really?
Leicester_Loyal Posted 1 April 2012 Posted 1 April 2012 i know i am just as dissapointed as anyone, not sure i can disagree with anyone who wants to critisize the current teams failings. Just not sure where we go from here really? Into next season, hoping Nigel will sort this team out, get rid of the deadwood and players who don't want to be here and get in some raw talent.
Number 6 Posted 1 April 2012 Posted 1 April 2012 Positives: -Our home fans are nowhere near as bad as I thought. London road was so quiet aside from the goal and the last 5 mins. -Marshall looks great, will be a real threat next season Negatives: -Posh looked much more up for it then we did. We know what the players are capable of but aren't showing it. How many times did I see a Posh header won unchallenged? -The moron sat behind me who had nothing good to say and seemed to be there to support the ref and whinge about EVERYTHING. Including 'what's Pearson doing to change it? Sweet FA' after he'd just made 2 substitutions. -Morgan up front when we have 3 strikers on the pitch? Come on NP.
Gold Coast Fox Posted 1 April 2012 Posted 1 April 2012 I can't understand why Howard was brought on against forest when he was not the player we needed, but yesterday we were just playing down the wings.... so why not bring him on?
C.J Posted 1 April 2012 Posted 1 April 2012 There was some really drunk lad stood to the left of the goal about halfway up. He had a greenish coat on, nearly fell over countless times. I doubt he knew he was at a football match. Anybody on here ?

Guest BlueBrett Posted 1 April 2012 Posted 1 April 2012 Just a totally shit weekend for me. So disappointed with pretty much every aspect of our performance and approach and then I missed the last train after post-match drinking in Peterborough and had to fork out 80 quid for a hotel. Misery compounded when I got home by all the grief I got from the Mrs...and yay its ****ing Monday tomorrow! <_<
Guest Bilo Posted 2 April 2012 Posted 2 April 2012 There was some really drunk lad stood to the left of the goal about halfway up. He had a greenish coat on, nearly fell over countless times. I doubt he knew he was at a football match. Anybody on here ? That might've been one of my mates. He had produced an unholy amount of vomit three times, including once on the terrace. Another of my mates asked if we were in Nottingham or Derby after the game. I love away games.
Guest Col city fan Posted 2 April 2012 Posted 2 April 2012 You do wind people up though, even if you are not a merchant as such............ As someone said on another thread... Your level of hypocrisy knows no bounds!!
Darkon84 Posted 2 April 2012 Posted 2 April 2012 It all got too much for some lads behind me(right side)at the final whistle had a punch up in the stand, bloody noses.im sure it would have been Beckfords fault though according to most. That was all down to the guy in the green taking exception to an opinion, and then 'forcing' his opinion back by throwing a punch, then standing behind his big bald mate. what a ****, even his own mates were like wtf?!
Burmesefox Posted 2 April 2012 Posted 2 April 2012 I booed, don't mind admitting it. I made great efforts to get to a game that cost me over £100.00. I cheer before every game and all the way through it, I never boo during a game or at half time but after the match is fair game to me. It seems fair that as a fan I should be honest and reflect the way I feel. I'm not a Stepford supporter but a fan with passion. I have a right to show how i feel - that performance was terrible and once again players that should lead by example choked. next match I go to I'll cheer and sing my heart out. BTW - thought our fans were terrible too - very poor vocally. Isat in the seats with my two kids and it was disjointed and quiet by our away standards.

Guy Posted 2 April 2012 Posted 2 April 2012 I've just been speaking with a bunch of people about all the amazing days out we've had when City play Peterborough away. The footnote being that we always seem to lose! So that curry you enjoyed is typical of every Peterborough away day I've had for 20 years. The last time I went to see City at Peterborough was in 1993 (one of the Wembley play off losing seasons) and even back then we lost 3-0 to them! I think the only time in living memory when we didn't was two seasons ago when we could do no wrong in our march to the play offs when Kingy and Howard scored for our 1-2 win. Looks like we'll be meeting again in this league next season to try and set the record straight!
Out Foxed Posted 2 April 2012 Posted 2 April 2012 marshall got into the mirrors team of the week (in the CF position) made me

Thats the one,i was standing infront of the barrier(probably standing in your way,im tall and wide)but got the idea the guy with the bloody nose had not done too much wrong, surely someone could have distracted the big guy with a Mars bar!i was going to say something but wasnt too sure how many where with him and didnt fancy a kicking off 10 for something i was not 100% sure what happened and none of my business, but the lad looked shocked.not good among your own fans.Disgrace.

The lad that got punched was one of my mates. I was in the green army type leatherish jacket, trying to pull the other bloke away. he must have been in his 40s, what a twat. no one thought he would throw a punch, he just took major exception to us saying (in general, not directly at him or anyone) come on lads, lets get behind our team instead of booing. The big bald guy who was with the idiot was like wtf as well. I think the guy was just looking for a fight or something. unfortunately you just get idiots like that. Apparently Jobber mentioned something about it, or something about our own fans fighting on the Monday moan in? I didnt listen, just going on what someone said. nevermind eh, all done and dusted, he had a beer and a moan, then a laugh about it afterwards, beer makes everything better
