Or of course, it could be that being brought on and being played out wide, when he`s a down the middle striker also hasn`t helped him.

When he came on against Birmingham, alongside Beckford i thought he looked decent.

We could say the same with Nugent, he`s been putting a shift in, but has not looked at the races for last 3 games, but then of course he has also been told to play out wide, when he`s far more effective playing as a striker.

There seem to be one or two on here, who seem to have really got it in for schlupp, and i`m not sure why to be honest.

For me, the jury is still out with schlupp. he still young and just starting out in the professional game, but he has potential, and could become a fantastic player for us, or equally could still fade and end up playing in the lower leagues.

One things for sure, berating the lad when he`s given 20 minutes at the end of the game playing in a position he`s not used to playing, is not going to help him.

Good for him. As a footballer I'm not convinced he's up to much to be honest. He'll be 20 this year, a striker, at a professional club willing to give him a chance. If he was up to it he'd be a first team regular by now.

Sort of agree with this... Ive had my hopes for this lad and always been in the mindset of "hes only young" but hes not really anymore -hes the same age as ben marshall. Im not going to say hes rubbish because he hasnt had a season where hes been given a fair crack of the whip, but when he has come on,he hasnt looked particularly special.

You only get regular first team football if you're picked and clearly NP has a boner for the almighty Beckford - maybe that will change after this weekend.

He did look sharp before his injury and was keeping Beckford out of the side. After his injury well he seems to of gone off the boil a little, apart from Birmingham. The main factor is that he's down the wing and it's the same with Nuge. If the 2 of them got a run together in a 4-3-1-2 or something like that then I feel we'd see the best of Nuge again and we'd start to see Schlupp blossoming.
