Out Foxed Posted 3 April 2012 Posted 3 April 2012 if the appearance bonus is true. we can't. don't play. get rid for 2.5 milly in the summer.
Babylon Posted 3 April 2012 Posted 3 April 2012 Doing well? We were mostly still shipping goals and still midtable, and Mills was still launching pointless balls into nowhere.
Babylon Posted 3 April 2012 Posted 3 April 2012 if the appearance bonus is true. we can't. don't play. get rid for 2.5 milly in the summer. It's highly unlikely, why would you put a player on the bench if you had zero intention of playing him due to a clause that's equally unlikely.
carlhltid Posted 3 April 2012 Author Posted 3 April 2012 Doing well? We were mostly still shipping goals and still midtable, and Mills was still launching pointless balls into nowhere. were alot better now then ???????
Libertine Dream Posted 3 April 2012 Posted 3 April 2012 Doing well? We were mostly still shipping goals and still midtable, and Mills was still launching pointless balls into nowhere. Kept 5 clean sheets in a row with the 2 of them, and what does Morgan do any different distribution wise?
carlhltid Posted 3 April 2012 Author Posted 3 April 2012 they are our best centre backs guys cmon dont be silly
Out Foxed Posted 3 April 2012 Posted 3 April 2012 It's highly unlikely, why would you put a player on the bench if you had zero intention of playing him due to a clause that's equally unlikely. but he's only been on the bench twice.
carlhltid Posted 3 April 2012 Author Posted 3 April 2012 Kept 5 clean sheets in a row with the 2 of them, and what does Morgan do any different distribution wise? sol scored a few too last season he was a threat
m00nie Posted 3 April 2012 Posted 3 April 2012 if NP has no plans to keep mills whats the point in playing him now
Babylon Posted 3 April 2012 Posted 3 April 2012 were alot better now then ??????? Did I say that, I said we're about the same.
Babylon Posted 3 April 2012 Posted 3 April 2012 Kept 5 clean sheets in a row with the 2 of them Congratulations to them, what about all the games before and after? (oh and I don't think they did keep 5 in a row after looking at the fixtures) and what does Morgan do any different distribution wise? I'm sorry but you can't seriously compare the two? but he's only been on the bench twice. And why would he have been on there at all if we had no intention of playing him?
carlhltid Posted 3 April 2012 Author Posted 3 April 2012 if NP has no plans to keep mills whats the point in playing him now true but i thought ssl was a gonna but plays every game now it can be sorted out
cc_star Posted 3 April 2012 Posted 3 April 2012 Kept 5 clean sheets in a row with the 2 of them, and what does Morgan do any different distribution wise? Morgan didn't get dominated by larger forwards like Mills did everytime. Recently though I see no reason for Morgan not to be dropped other than Bamba awfulness & the fact Mills will never play for us again. If Mills hadn't of reacted so fatally to being dropped (remember NP massively backed Mills prior to their falling out when SSL was dropped to play Bamba) then I'm sure NP would pick the most appropriate CB that he thinks can beat the opposition Can't see Bamba getting a look-in anywhere tbh, like loads of people have said when he's playing CB... everytime you see a goal go in, Bamba isn't even in camera shot. The 4 clean sheets earlier in the season were nice to see, but in two of them we absolutely dominated the opposition (Brighton & Derby, similarly to how we more recently dominated Forest & Southampton) but in the other two, both nil-nils we hardly made a forward pass in both games added together as the whole team defended (something I though NP would bring back) The 4 clean sheets in a row was obviously a good run (great in comparison to the rest of the season before & after that) but I'm not sure they were a reflection on the two CBs, as the team was actually geared up to it (like I say we should do that again. If we're going to demand anyone should play, I'd go for Moore, Schlupp & any other youngsters who are thereabouts... and lets have a look at them in matchday situations but without the pressure of the playoffs now we're out of them.
LCFC_Peter Posted 3 April 2012 Posted 3 April 2012 st ledger = good morgan= Average mills= bad bamba= scary to watch
Vale Blue Posted 3 April 2012 Posted 3 April 2012 We cant get rid of Mills. If he is on 25k a week or something similar then knowone will ever take him off our hands. We should never have got Morgan whilst we are paying Mills all that money to do nothing.
Out Foxed Posted 3 April 2012 Posted 3 April 2012 And why would he have been on there at all if we had no intention of playing him? to at least keep the pretense up
AKCJ Posted 3 April 2012 Posted 3 April 2012 Doing well? We were mostly still shipping goals and still midtable, and Mills was still launching pointless balls into nowhere. Although I don't have the figures to back it up, i'm positive that the Mills + Bamba partnership was the most profitable for us. We kept 4 clean sheets on the bounce against sides that (were) in the playoffs with these two.

(oh and I don't think they did keep 5 in a row after looking at the fixtures) I'm sorry but you can't seriously compare the two? I thought it was 5, maybe it was 4. Why can't you compare them, what position do they both play?
Corky Posted 3 April 2012 Posted 3 April 2012 st ledger = good morgan= Average mills= bad bamba= scary to watch Disagree davie. Bamba is probably better than Mills and Morgan.
Fox92 Posted 3 April 2012 Posted 3 April 2012 sol scored a few too last season he was a threat Two all season in the league, in one game. Not sure about all comps but I doubt he scored more than 4. Also, I don't think Bamba has actually scored with his head.
gazfox9 Posted 3 April 2012 Posted 3 April 2012 I agree with the OP. I think Mills and Bamba are our strongest centre half pairing.
