What a waste of money

Well, we're lead to believe City are 53million in debt. There are many mistakes, wrong decisions and downright incompetence that make up this debt.

But what are your major gripes?

Top of my list are the complete lack of negotiating skills when sorting player contracts.

1) Matt Mills rumour has it was earning 8k at Reading, so why do we more than treble his wages. Surely he would have been delighted with 12k a week.

2) Wes Morgan on 6k a week at Forest, not offered a new deal and had 5 months remaining. Why the hell do we give him 15k a week, he would have snapped our hands off for 8k a week.

lol

The first point; Sven. The parasite football agent's dream man.

As for the second bit, I must admit I was very surprised Pearson paid nearly £1mil for a centre half with 5 months left, but how do you know this about wages? FM?

Get out a typewriter, put a new ribbon in and type up a letter to Andrew Neville, I'm sure he could do with a laugh.

Really, and I guess we got in that much debt by doing everything well.

Good luck with your fantasy.

A). Why do you think they would have been delighted with the figures you've quoted? Do you know them personally.

B). They have agents.

C). There may have been rival bids from other clubs.

D). We needed Morgan now not in 5 months time.

My major gripe about the new owners is why after years of undying support at both home and away fixtures has our very own Bernie not been given a v.i.p match day meal with the owners and a seat in between them ? I feel very angry on his behalf at this apparent snub. :@ :@ :@

Biggest waste of money recently have been Sven (& his payout), the TV screen, Mills

How much did the TV screens cost?

And how much advertising have they brought in?

I'd be interested in your figures

Don't be stupid, none of the outlay made by the club now, could possible bring in greater revenue further down the line, everything must be justified with instant returns now, the Thai's are gambling our present by thinking of the future. Why haven't we bought the league yet!!!

At least Filbert the Fox mask sales are up

Do you think the players are buying them so that they can go shopping without being recognised and abused ?????

There's a pretty strong argument suggesting their strategy had exactly the opposite impact. Let's not worry about the huge debts, over inflated salaries, etc - we've got a massive screen!!

I don't know if you missed the obvious sarcasm in my post, or just jumped at the chance to push your anti-Thai agenda. There have been a mixture of long term and short term investments in the club. My post was highlighting the fact that we can't seem to see the long term and just look at the balance sheet and crap ourselves, whilst demanding instant success.

Of course I saw the sarcasm, I was just picking up on your implied argument that people failed to see the long term benefits of having a TV screen. I think the benefits of this are immaterial compared to the other issues I mentioned.

Anyway I don't have an "anti-Thai agenda" I've just crossed swords with you in a couple of threads - you can count my posts on this subject on one hand. My only "agenda" is to try to raise awareness of what I consider to be important matters regarding the club's ownership and their part in our lack of success. Above all I'm defending Pearson who I feel is being completely unjustifiably criticised by some on here.

It's great you support Pearson, as do I, but you don't need to criticise the owners to do so. To be honest the amount of criticism on here is ludicrous compared to our actual position in the grand scheme of things, and not just as a reaction to a few bad results, and I do get a bit fed up with it.

Anyway lets hug it out, I'm a peace lover at heart, we can settle our differences with a bottle of Singha and a nice green curry, Buddha be with you.

Quite right, that sounds lovely. I rarely argue with people on here. Generally I just write relatively boring posts and laugh at Ultra.
