Out Foxed Posted 9 April 2012 Posted 9 April 2012 Not the right place to put this but would it be more profitable for a club to be a yo yo team than being a bottom half premier league team consistently? was just thinking that's all!!!! no, way more money in football.
Milton Keynes Fox Posted 9 April 2012 Posted 9 April 2012 Not the right place to put this but would it be more profitable for a club to be a yo yo team than being a bottom half premier league team consistently? was just thinking that's all!!!! It would be, because if we get relegated from the premiership we get a lot of money.
dannythefox Posted 9 April 2012 Posted 9 April 2012 Great result for the boys but I feel we might just run out of games!
Mike the Metal Ed Posted 9 April 2012 Posted 9 April 2012 It would be, because if we get relegated from the premiership we get a lot of money. If you get promoted back up within the first three seasons of relegation from the Premiership, you have to give the parachute money back, which then gets equally distributed among the three leagues.
Finnegan Posted 9 April 2012 Posted 9 April 2012 Not the right place to put this but would it be more profitable for a club to be a yo yo team than being a bottom half premier league team consistently? was just thinking that's all!!!! No. The difference in revenue for gate receipts, justifiable ticket prices, merchandise, television payments et all make the Premiership a ridiculous league ahead of the Champ.
THEBIGJOHNSTEADER; Posted 9 April 2012 Posted 9 April 2012 Is your stream coming through on dial up speed Reckon we might win this
Babylon Posted 9 April 2012 Posted 9 April 2012 If you get promoted back up within the first three seasons of relegation from the Premiership, you have to give the parachute money back, which then gets equally distributed among the three leagues. Really? I didn't know that.
Guest shearfox Posted 9 April 2012 Posted 9 April 2012 Reckon we might win this Sorry but it ends in disappointment...
Milton Keynes Fox Posted 9 April 2012 Posted 9 April 2012 Birmingham winning, rather play them in play offs?
Mike the Metal Ed Posted 9 April 2012 Posted 9 April 2012 Really? I didn't know that. I think that's right, I got it from Football Manager, so take it with a pinch of salt, but I'm pretty certain that's how it works.
MarkHowieLCFC Posted 9 April 2012 Posted 9 April 2012 No. The difference in revenue for gate receipts, justifiable ticket prices, merchandise, television payments et all make the Premiership a ridiculous league ahead of the Champ. Thought as much, didn't realise u had to give parachute payments back either...thought I'd thought of nailed on way of always being entertained

Right thanks for that! I knew about parachute payments that's why i thought if we got relegated we would have more money!
Fifties Blue Posted 9 April 2012 Posted 9 April 2012 Optimists and pessimists, we've all met both. On awakening, optimists open the window and say with a smile, "Good morning, God!" Pessimists? They rub their eyes; clear their throat; look out the window and say with a frown, "Good god, morning!" Fantastic win - enjoy!
Libertine Dream Posted 9 April 2012 Posted 9 April 2012 Thought as much, didn't realise u had to give parachute payments back either...thought I'd thought of nailed on way of always being entertained Didn't think you give them back, seems very unfair to me, just waiver whatever is left to be paid I thought
MarkHowieLCFC Posted 9 April 2012 Posted 9 April 2012 Reckon we might win this I won't spoil it for you and tell you the result then
MarkHowieLCFC Posted 9 April 2012 Posted 9 April 2012 Didn't think you give them back, seems very unfair to me, just waiver whatever is left to be paid I thought I think it's unfair too!! The team made the effort to get promoted and then made the effort to get relegated!!! seems like alot of hard work if you're not able to keep your winnings

Haydos Posted 9 April 2012 Posted 9 April 2012 The most horrible thought is it could all go to shit by next game. Come on lads, give us another sickeningly tight run-in! I think I want to make the play-offs more because of the miserable, stubborn, Pearson-out brigade than I do because I think we'll have a chance.
Karljohn Posted 9 April 2012 Posted 9 April 2012 What a rollercoaster season, some great results today including ours, really pleased that the sky blue shit lost and are doomed, hoping that we can turn over Millwall, think the West Ham game will be key, hold my hand up and didnt expect anymore than a point today even if we played well.
