JamesWelshFox Posted 10 April 2012 Posted 10 April 2012 Negative, no, because when we have the ball it is more a 4-3-3. It is essentially a very fluid system and with Kingy back might suit us down to the ground. Having siad that I would settle for ugly, boring 1-0's all the way. I'd drop Beckford to make this work, remember he hasn't actually scored all that many league goals, and Marshall and gallagher give us goals from out wide. Schmeichel Konch, Bamba, Morgan, Pelts Marshall, Danns, King, Wellens, Gallagher Nuge SSL and Dyer unlucky to be on the bench. All to play for, but looking at the run in think maybe Blackpool we are chasing. C'mon City !
Charl91 Posted 10 April 2012 Posted 10 April 2012 We've been awful in 4-3-3. I'd rather stick with 4-4-2.
cc_star Posted 10 April 2012 Posted 10 April 2012 We should just do what we're doing. Apart from Forest parking the bus & us missing a hat-full of chances at Posh only to see them nick one, its served us well for some time now

Apart from Forest parking the bus & us missing a hat-full of chances at Posh only to see them nick one, its served us well for some time now Didn't we line up as 451 (4231)for those matches with Nugent out wide and Marshall playing in the middle? We have to play 2 up front when we do we score, and we score a lot, we average at least 2 a game when we play Nugent and Beckford up front together.
strattylcfc Posted 10 April 2012 Posted 10 April 2012 Nope stick with what we are doing well with atm
norfolkfox222 Posted 10 April 2012 Posted 10 April 2012 in the words of Mike Bassett 4 - 4 - ****ing - 2
Finnegan Posted 10 April 2012 Posted 10 April 2012 Are you retarded? We do okay, we swap to 433, we do shit, we swap back, we win a few again... so you want to change again!?
Jace Posted 10 April 2012 Posted 10 April 2012 I can see why Beckford is not everyone's cup of tea but dropping him because he doesn't contribute enough and replacing him with Gallagher would be like swapping monster munch for transformers because you don't like corn based savory snacks

Would have been better if he had said Space Raiders instead of Transformers, partly because they are called transform-a-snack, but mainly because Space Raiders are awesome and one of the reasons I left England was because they went up from 10p, that was my final straw. better than
Ric Flair Posted 11 April 2012 Posted 11 April 2012 Nugent has been non-existant when we've played 4-2-3-1 or 4-3-3 or 4-5-1 whatever you want to call it. For us to stand any chance of getting in to the play-off's we need Nugent to be on fire, he's our most important player. He's a big game player. Beckford and him struck up a tidy partnership up until about 6 games ago and we need them to play alongside one another to regain that form and for us to score plenty of goals and hurt what's put in front of us and put pressure on the teams around us.
Guest Col city fan Posted 11 April 2012 Posted 11 April 2012 Though id look for another striker in the summer we need to stick now with Becks/Nugent and 4-4-2.
