Guest ttfn Posted 14 April 2012 Posted 14 April 2012 Schmeichel 6 - Not much he could do about either goal but once again did not look particularly commanding. Peltier 5 - Put in one absolutely brilliant cross in the first half and defended ok. Bamba 6 - Did fine. Morgan 5 - Repeatedly caught out of position. Made about 5 fouls. Konchesky 2 - My player of the season but completely hopeless today. Ballooned a free kick into the stand, repeatedly beaten down his side, must have made about 3 or 4 handballs and to cap it all off gave away a penalty. Marshall 4 - Ineffective. Wellens 4 - MIA. King 4 - As above. Gallagher 4 - Reasonable set piece delivery for a change. Usual spineless attitude to tackling though and his decision making was awful throughout. Beckford 6 - Arguably the best of a bad bunch today. Squandered a couple of openings early on but some decent lay-offs. Nugent 4 - Not his day. subs: Dyer 4 - Next to no impact. Drinkwater 6 - At least he scored. Howard 5 - Not as bad as he has been in some games lately, but still ineffective. The whole team's performance was utterly spineless, particularly in the second half. A group started singing "you lazy bastards, you don't even care" and whilst not many joined in (as they shouldn't) it was a sentiment that must have been shared by 90% of the travelling support.
RowlattsFox Posted 14 April 2012 Posted 14 April 2012 Konchesky 2 - My player of the season but completely hopeless today. Ballooned a free kick into the stand, repeatedly beaten down his side, must have made about 3 or 4 handballs and to cap it all off gave away a penalty. That may explain his unprofessional angry reaction to supporters, angry at his own performance.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 14 April 2012 Posted 14 April 2012 Kasper 6 Peltier 3 Bamba 4 Morgan 4 Konchesky 4 Marshall 4 Wellens 3 King 3 Gallagher 3 Nugent 4 Beckford 2 DD 6 Howard 5 Dyer 4
Guest NGoloMode Posted 14 April 2012 Posted 14 April 2012 Schmeichel 5 - Thought he wasn't at fault for either goal. Some dodgy kicks. Peltier 4 - okay. Bamba 5 - Did okay. Morgan 3 - Thought he was pretty poor made a few fouls. Konchesky 4 - Looked a bit leggy. Beaten a few times. Marshall 5 - First half looked dangerous but then fizzled out in the second. Wellens 3 - Didn't do much King 5 - Didn't contribute much going forward but defensively helped out. Gallagher 3 - I counted a few bad 'hit and hope' passes that gave them the ball. I would have subbed him off sooner. Beckford 7 - Best player for us today. Some great passing but lacked that sharpness in front of goal. Nugent 5 - Chased the ball down but Millwall defending against him well. subs: Dyer 4 - Didn't do much. Drinkwater 6 - Always in space looking for the ball but needs to do more with it. Tidy finish. Howard 4 - Caused their defence problems like always but never looked like scoring because of it.
FoxTrott Posted 14 April 2012 Posted 14 April 2012 Kasper - 6 - had nothing to do really, couldn't do much on the goals, few dodgy kicks. Konchesky 4 - few good drills but was a fault for penalty, numerous handballs and capped off by V signing the away fans. I hope the fans don't get too angry at him, one of our most consistent players in a very inconsistent squad. Big Wes - 7 - thought he played with a bit of heart, went forward and tried to attempted to make things to happen which I appreciated. Bamba - 7 - pretty solid, made up when players went forward. Peltier - 5 - wasn't up to much. Poor passes, one threatening cross but looked off pace. Gallagher - 4 - poor, objectively. Really wish the fans supported him like they once did, but with performances like that, sadly not. Confidence all dried up. King - 4 - I think I saw his shadow in the second half? Not sure. Wellens - 6 - saw a few glimpses of old Wellens, good to get stuck in but nothing special. Lacked a good midfield partner. Marshall - 5 - had a few good bursts in the first half but nothing notable in the second. I have faith in this guy, though. Nugent - 5 - had an off game, few good wide runs but feels as if he's lost his form. Beckford - 7 - amazing first half performance, seemed to be involved in everything dangerous. Second half, really wasn't bought into the game.
Guest ttfn Posted 14 April 2012 Posted 14 April 2012 Beckford - 7 - amazing first half performance, seemed to be involved in everything dangerous. Second half, really wasn't bought into the game. At the risk of starting yet another Beckford debate, this is exactly the sort of post which baffles me about him. It seems no praise is too high for him when he achieves something better than mediocre. He played well in the first half, sure, but it was hardly an "amazing" performance. I'm not sure he even had a shot or created a chance. Anyway, he wasn't a particular culprit today I thought he played ok.
FoxTrott Posted 14 April 2012 Posted 14 April 2012 Amazing perhaps over statement but he was setting up all sorts of opportunities, don't get me wrong, he was by no means flawless, but he was our standout first half player. Also - "don't want to make this about Beckford" - proceeds to talk about Beckford. Meh to you. It's an opinion.
brockmyster Posted 14 April 2012 Posted 14 April 2012 Kasper 5- kicking woeful at times couldve possibly come for first goal Peltier 4- poor again, always out of position didn't do much coming forward and to cap it off when losing and subbed off walked so slowly along with a stupid yellow card where he elbows a player Morgan 4- out of position again, too slow always caught out Bamba 7- cleaned up mistakes and for once didn't roam too much Konchesky 3- poor game especially by his normally high standards and unproffesional at the end Marshall 4-not really noticeable at times King 4- is he fit? Didn't seem that great at all Wellens 6-on the ball questionably but good work off it in covering at times Gallagher 2- poor, so many times didn't cover defensively and moaned a lot instead of getting on with it, maybe he's much better just to have coming off the bench? Beckford 5-started lively but just faded like he has done on many occasions this season Nugent 5- no where near his best Drinkwater 5- didn't do much but score Howard 5-not effective Dyer 4-just seemed to not be there As for the ref he was utterly disgraceful, which seems to be being said far too much this season. He missed an elbow on our player in front of him, numerous amounts and shirt pulling and even missed decisions for millwall
Milton Keynes Fox Posted 14 April 2012 Posted 14 April 2012 Schmeichel- 5 What did he do? But showed passion so. Peltier-5 Average Bamba-6 Alright Morgan-6 Alright Konchesky-5 Gallagher-2 Wellens-6 King-5 Marshall-6 Nugent-4 DID NOTHING. Beckford-6 Had that class, if he had carried second half as he did in the first would have been 10
beryllind Posted 14 April 2012 Posted 14 April 2012 Reading these ratings, if this is a true reflection of the effort shown it is disgraceful, where is the passion and determination to get LCFC into the premiership. Do they realise how fortunate they are, to be playing football for a living. I thought they would come out in the second half and get stuck in, This has also got to reflect on the management. You have got feel sorry for the owners

Fox92 Posted 14 April 2012 Posted 14 April 2012 Kasper 6 Peltier 6 Bamba 6 - Lost many headers in defence Morgan 7 Konchesky 5 Marshall 6 King 3 - Not good enough Wellens 5 Gallagher 3 - Rubbish, again. Not good enough. Nugent 4 - A coincidence that he tweets about not being able to watch Everton, and then performs poor. Beckford 4

It was an absolute disgrace to watch and the general feeling where we were sat is that people are fed up with paying to see this crap.
old koppite Posted 14 April 2012 Posted 14 April 2012 That may explain his unprofessional angry reaction to supporters, angry at his own performance. I agree. How often do all of us have a bad shift and let ripe at the next person to wind us up.
ThurnbyLodgeFox Posted 14 April 2012 Posted 14 April 2012 Kasper 7- don't really know what to stay but he wasn't bad, but he wasn't good Peltier-5 not overly excited, some good crossing though Morgan 7- good again Bamba 7- played well in an average team Konchesky 4- easily his worst performance Gallagher 2- get the **** out my club, woeful Wellens 7- good game and good passin. Unlucky to be subbed King 5- nothing like we're used to. Quite poor Marshall 6- didn't really do much Beckford 8- only player who was up for it. Got himself into good positions and made runs. MOTM for me Nugent 6- looking knackered Dyer 6- OK but ran into empty spaces Drinkwater 7- unlucky not to start and scored Howard 7- held the ball up well Pearson 4- thought he got everything wrong in such an important match
Libertine Dream Posted 14 April 2012 Posted 14 April 2012 Kasper-6 nothing he could do about the goals, didnt have much to do Peltier-4 not an attacking threat, struggled to defend Morgan-5 out of position a couple of times but was okay Bamba-5 as above Konchesky-3 awful, pointless him being on the pitch Marshall-5 not involved but was good when in the game Wellens-5 didnt do anything worthwhile King-5 ran around a bit Gallagher-4 pretty useless apart from some good corners Nugent-4 didnt realise he was on the pitch Beckford-6 excellent first half, got no support, non existent 2nd half Dyer-5 ran a bit, no end product Howard-4 couldnt jump as centre hlaf was all over him everytime Drinkwater-6 scored Pearson- poor substitutions, and play with no direction. We didnt appear to have much idea,
Tielemans63 Posted 14 April 2012 Posted 14 April 2012 Didn't watch or even listen to today's game as I was at a wedding. Seems a bit strange to me that Drinky was dropped on favour of long-time absentee Andy King. I thought DD and Wellens were starting to build a bit of a partnership.
blueharmie Posted 14 April 2012 Posted 14 April 2012 I agree. How often do all of us have a bad shift and let ripe at the next person to wind us up. Are you on 30k a shift? Didn't think so pal. We need to clear the deadwood.

Dan Posted 15 April 2012 Posted 15 April 2012 Schmeichel - 5. Couldn't really have done anything about the goals. Peltier - 4. Didn't offer us much at all. Bamba - 4. Very unconvincing again. Seriously don't think he'll be in our team next year. Morgan - 4. Not great, again. Did he concede the penalty or was it Bamba? Thought whoever it was, was penalised simply for having strength, didn't look a penalty to me. Konchesky - 4. Very poor game. Constant mistakes. The incident at the end topped it off. Gallagher - 4. Pretty ineffective. Simply cannot afford passengers so often. King - 4. Totally ineffective, doesn't work with Wellens in a 4-4-2, over-ran as I expected. Wellens - 4. Same as King. We're lucky to get away with these two in a normal game, let alone against Millwall who scrap like hell. Marshall - 4. Quiet game. Nugent - 4. Quiet game although unlucky not to score. Beckford - 4. Started the game with some nice touches and like everyone else, turned totally ineffective once we'd gone a goal down. Subs; Dyer - 4. Hopeless. Howard - 4. Offered pretty much nothing. Drinkwater - 6. Scored a goal. MOTM for that alone. 4's across the board. Collectively a completely embarrassing display. EDIT; So Konchesky actually conceded the penalty himself. Looking back, yes I'd agree a penalty.
Brown Fox Posted 15 April 2012 Posted 15 April 2012 Are you on 30k a shift? Didn't think so pal. We need to clear the deadwood. It riles me when people assume just because they earn a lot of money that they have no emotion. They are humans you know, not robots that eat money. He'll have been hugely upset and disappointed especially seeing how he gives 100% in every game. So according to you people who earn good money aren't ever allowed to get upset?
NewburyFox Posted 15 April 2012 Posted 15 April 2012 Kasper - 7. Kicking was fine and couldn't do anything about the goals. Peltier - 4. Poor as usual. Not played well since before Christmas, needs to be replaced in the summer. Bamba - 6. Wasn't too bad, got pushed around a bit by their lad Kane, but got no protection by the midfield. Morgan - 6. Same as Bamba. Konchesky - 4. Worst game in a while, gave away the penalty but has still been our most consistent performer this season. Gallagher - 4. Rubbish, was never going to be good in a game away to Millwall. King - 4. Very poor, contributed absolutely nothing offensively or defensively. Wellens - 5. Marginally better than King. They have never worked well together in a 4-4-2. Marshall - 6. Put in a few good crosses early on but couldn't get on the ball often enough and faded. Nugent - 6. Ran around a bit, got the assist for the goal but didn't do anything else. Beckford - 4. Rubbish again, would happily see him leave in the summer. Schlupp in for Tuesday please Nigel. Subs Dyer - 5. Barely got on the ball. Drinkwater - 7. Got on the ball a bit and scored. Must start on Tuesday. Howard - 5. Ineffective.

Easily MOTM, and probably the only one, apart from Kasper, who actually looked like they cared

Yes I went. Millwall fans hate Beckford for some reason and gave him a few chants, but it wasn't until like the 85th minute that they actually had a chance to boo him on the ball, as he'd barely touched it until then. He didn't hold the ball up and has no presence up front. Nugent tried to be creative, won a few flick-ons and like I said, got another assist. If that makes me biased then fine.
